Forks, Washington
Alice's eyes widened as she watched the scene in her vision. "They're facing down with each other. Edward is with this Ron and Hermione, they're trying to get the snake. Oh! The snake is attacking Edward…" She gasped as she watched Nagini strike at Edward. "The snake! It's dead! Another young man with the sword killed it, decapitated the head. It is a horcrux and it's no more."
Carlisle closed his eyes in relief. It has been several hours since Alice started again, and the entire family collected around her to listen. It was harrowing to listen to the play-by-play. He opened his eyes to see Esme looking up at him with worry and love in her eyes. He squeezed her hand in affection and turned back to Alice.
"Harry's facing Voldemort now." Alice quietly said. Jasper was next to her, his hands gripping his legs. He wished he could've been there with Harry, helping in the battle. It was his forte.
Rose and Emmett looked at each other worriedly. She clutched Emmett's hand silently and turned back to Alice to listen.
"Their spell clashed and holding, they're trying to overpower one other. Wait… Voldemort's wand is resisting him. Oh! Harry revealed what he is to Voldemort, made him angry." Alice said with a feral grin. "Harry's magic hit him! He's… Voldemort's dead! Gone! Like ashes!" She shouted and stood up as if cheering for a football touchdown. She turned to everyone, laughing and smiling, "Harry won! It's over." There were collective sighs and cheering from the Cullens.
Rosalie jumped from her seat and launched at the petite vampire, hugging her. "That's a relief! Is he coming back?"
Alice stepped back from the hug and looked away, focusing on Harry and Edward in her vision, her eyes darting as if searching. "Hm. Not for a while. Edward decided to stay with Harry, they want to stay and see where it goes for them." Her smile slipped, and she turned to her family. "Edward's right. Harry belongs there. His family is there, everyone who loves him."
"What about us?" Jasper asked.
Alice sadly smiled and shook her head, "No, darling. We're forever. They will come back to us when they're ready. We'll wait for them. But they will come back. Harry's family comes first, after all, they don't have forever like we do."
Carlisle nodded and said, "That's right. Besides, what stops us from visiting them and them us?"
Rosalie shrugged. "England's always nice to visit. But I'll miss them."
Alice laughed, "Oh, think of shopping in London!" She clapped her hands. Then she suddenly stopped, "No. The Volturi!" She looked at her family, her eyes wide. "They know. They're after Harry."
"Well, shit." Emmett said.
"Eloquently put," Carlisle grimly said, "What more can you see from that?"
Alice frowned, "It's hard to see, the future is blurred now. Something's wrong." She looked up to Carlisle. "I think they need our help."
"When?" Esme asked.
"Not now though," Alice said, frowning. "But in about a month time. I can't see clearly, but I am seeing bits of this and that, three possible futures. Two aren't so good, and the third is better, but it's very vague, like it has less chance of happening than the other two." She looked at her adoptive father worriedly. "It's not good."
Carlisle stared back at Alice. "Then, we need to take care of Victoria as soon as possible and go to England."
Seattle/Tacoma, Washington
Bella smiled as she stepped past the security gate at the Sea-Tac airport. She has never thought she would be grateful to return to Washington. Taking a few days away from the state has made her realize she has indeed found a home in the small town of Fork, Washington. Yes, she missed Edward but visiting with her mother made her realize that he was not the center of her universe and there was so much more to life. She was happy to be back home.
She felt her smile grow more prominent as she saw Jacob waiting for her, holding up a sign made from ripped-up cardboard and her name on it. She found herself launching toward the native teen and hugged him. "Jacob! I didn't expect you to be here!" She glanced around, searching for her father, and immediately frowned as she saw a serious-looking Sam leaning against the wall a few yards away. "Jacob?"
Jacob's smile vanished. "Uh, let's go to the truck. There's something we need to tell you but not here." Jacob said as he took her bag and led her over to Sam. "Let's go."
"That's everything?" Sam asked, gesturing to Bella's bag on Jacob's shoulder. Bella nodded. "Fine, let's go." He grunted and turned, walking away.
"Jacob?" Bella quietly asked as she kept up with the two large muscled men. "What is wrong?"
Jacob looked straight ahead. "Remember what I told you before? About us?"
Bella frowned, "Wolves?" She saw him nod. "Yeah."
"Keep that in in mind." He said.
It wasn't long before they found Sam's truck and got in. Sam drove while Bella sat sandwiched between them both. The ride was silent for the first thirty minutes as they cleared the city traffic and started to hit the highway north to Forks on the other side of Puget Sound. Bella's anxiety was steadily rising since they left the airport, then increased ten-fold as Sam slowed down the speed when they were in the long stretch between towns. Jacob turned in his seat to face Bella.
"Okay, remember the news about the killing happening around here?" Jacob asked. Bella nodded, her eyes wide. "Our pack has been trying to find out who has been killing people, we knew it was vampires. Because many of us started to turn around the same time. It wasn't because of the Cullens, but other vampires in the area."
Bella paled, "So, you guys found the vampires?" She asked, glancing at Sam and Jacob.
Sam growled, "Get to the point, Jacob."
Jacob rolled his eyes. "Yes, yes. Bella… your dad was killed."
Bella gasped and started to hyperventilate. Sam cursed under his breath and pulled over to the side of the road.
"Breathe!" Jacob panicked and fanned in front of Bella, hoping she would get some air.
Sam turned and smacked Bella on her back and snapped, "Damn it, girl!"
The shock from Sam's smack jolted Bella and tears started to fall. "My father… how?"
"One of the three vampire were after you. But you were gone, so he tracked down to your house and found your father there." Sam explained. "The cops know but your mom won't be contacted for a couple of days since she is not the next of kin. You are. You will be informed when you get home. We want you to know beforehand because the cops do not know it was a vampire that killed him."
Bella turned to Sam. "Did you guys get the vampire?" She saw Sam grin. She sighed. "Good."
Sam turned back and started to drive again. "Two of them. That leave one."
"Oh. So, I should be okay?" Bella asked worriedly, tears streaming down her face.
Jacob shrugged. "We think it's best you stay with us on the rez."
Bella frowned. "I can't. What about Forks High School? And I really don't want to crash on your couch," She sniffed.
Sam huffed. "Jacob stay with you. He will have to drive to the rez for school. We will have wolves guarding your place until the last vampire is taken care of." Jacob shrugged.
"I guess." Bella softly said, still in shock that her father is gone. She turned and stared out to the road and leaned her head on Jacob's shoulder as he held her.
Hogwarts, Scotland
The moon was bright, but the ground was different from the night before. Clear, and the stars were shining overhead. Harry looked down to the ground below. They were at the top of the tower, where he had decided to rest for the night. It was the tallest tower of all towers at Hogwarts.
They found the tower entrance by helping to clear off the rubbles in the hallway toward the Gryffindor Tower. During the battle, the wall had crumbled, revealing a hidden door. A ghost that passed by had recognized the door, stating that it was walled up some five hundred years. Why? No one remembered. Harry and Edward decided to explore and found a long spiraling staircase to the top, where a large empty circular room sat at the top. It had a large balcony on the top that overlooked the Forbidden Forest, the Black Lake, and the valley. It was a beautiful sight. Harry decided it would be a nice room. It didn't take him long to conjure up an oversized ornate bed and some furniture.
Edward came up behind Harry and wrapped his arms around his waist. Resting his chin on his lover's shoulder, he asked, "I can't hear your thoughts. All right?"
Harry blinked and realized he had been occluding without realizing it. He sighed and let down his mental barrier, and felt his mind relax.
"Everything and none." Harry said, wrapping his arms on top of Edward's arms. "Its over. Just finding it hard to believe. I spent half of my life, looking over my shoulder and trying to stay alive."
Edward turned Harry around to face him and reached up to cup the back of his head, bringing their foreheads together. "What do you want to do now?"
Harry looked into Edward's golden eyes. "I don't know."
Edward understood. Harry's life has dedicated to the battle, and it is over. "I've seen enough in past few days to know you belong in this world. They love you and look to you. You are their friend, teacher, brother, and more. I can't ask you to give all of that up and move to my corner of the world. It would not be fair."
Harry closed his eyes. "I also have a family over there."
"Yes, but they will be around forever. This one won't."
Harry's face crumbled, "I can't ask you to leave your family."
Smiling, Edward caressed Harry's face. "I've lived some time away from them before, and I can again. They'll wait for me. Right now, you are the only one I need to be with." He withdrew a few feet and held out his hand, palm up. Harry watched, puzzled, and he opened his mouth to ask but was shocked as a blue flame appeared on Edward's hand. "Turns out... I do have magic in me."
Harry's eyes lit up, "How?"
Edward laughed and vanished the flame. He grabbed Harry around the waist, bringing them close again, capturing his lips in a sensual kiss. Then he replied, "The Sorting Hat, I put it on my head and he informed me that I did have some magic before I was turned but was never able to properly develop them." He shook his head amusedly, "During the battle, I was desperate enough to protect you and your friends, that I was able to cast some spells. I was hearing them in my head from all around me and something broke inside. I was able to do it, it was hard but, I did."
Harry laughed and kissed Edward. "That's amazing!"
"I also went back to the office during dinner, and asked Dumbledore how it was possible. He theorized that it was possible I was nearly a squib a long time ago, which was why I wasn't discovered by the American Magic Registry. Then when we became mates, you woke that part inside me. Every time you used magic, every time I absorb your essence, and being around so much magic, it fed my magical core enough to make me a wizard. Now I won't be as powerful as you are, but as any other wizard."
Harry pulled Edward to the bed. "But, it's amazing. So, if a squib get turned, his magic might increase?"
"Dumbledore thinks so, but not fully. It makes sense for Jasper and Alice too. They had little bit of magic in them, enough to bring a talent out."
"You're right, it does make sense."
Edward smiled beautifully. "I have you, and now I am a full-fledged wizard. We can stay for a while, as long we need to. My family will understand."
Harry responded with a smile and started to strip Edward's clothes off but stopped. He looked up at his lover bemusedly. Edward grinned and snapped his fingers, and their clothes vanished, only to land beside them on the floor in a messy pile. Harry laughed and pushed Edward down on the top of the crimson duvet and kissed him hard.
Harry climbed on top of Edward and straddled his hips. "You're picking it up fast, Hermione will be pissed to find out."
Edward laughed and grasped Harry's hips, bucking his own to grind against Harry, eliciting a throaty moan. "She'll approve after few minutes of being upset and questioning."
Harry laughed, and then he trailed his hand down Edward's chest, teasing the other man. His nails scraped lightly over the nipples, making them into hard pebbles. He softly spoke as he caressed his way down his lover's abdomen. "I was really ready to die. I used to be afraid of fear itself but in that moment when looking at death himself, I know what I was really afraid of, it was not being with you like this ever again. "He leaned down on Edward's chest slowly and tracing downward with trails of open-mouthed kisses. His tongue twirled around each nipple before following the line to the belly button and twirled once around it. He withdrew to nuzzle his nose into the bronze curls above the treasure he was aiming for.
Edward threw his head back, taking on the sensation of Harry's tongue and kisses. He moaned out as he gripped Harry's messy locks, "I've searched for my true mate for so long and to find you, and to love you, is to find your true fear. Our time together had been so short and for you to readily die so soon, that scared me. I do not ever want to face that ever again."
Harry looked up at Edward from his place at his waist, "Never again. I have you and now I know I can choose when I die, I plan to live a very long time with you. It is forever now."
Edward smiled as he caressed Harry's cheek lovingly, "Always." he then moaned as Harry enclosed his mouth over his manhood, sucking and licking where he liked it. "Yes, Harry -right there-" he gripped the sheet when Harry licked down his shaft to his sack and sucked them. "Ooh. That feels good." He became a babbling incoherent mess as Harry worked his groin.
Edward sharply gasped as he felt the hot tongue moved to circle his backdoor before thrusting inside him. His hips rose and moved to press down, wanting more. Harry held him tightly as he worked his tongue into Edward's ring, softening it up and stretching him.
Harry grinned as he watched his lover's face as he moved his lips back to the tip of his penis and thrust the end of his tongue into the hole. He could taste the silvery fluid of Edward's pre-come mixed with venom. It tasted like ambrosia to him. He wanted more; he swallowed the head and twirled his tongue around and around in a maddening circle driving Edward crazy with the sensation, making him extremely sensitive.
"Harry... I'm going to come if you keep that up... "Edward groaned and bit back a loud moan as Harry sucked and swallowed his penis to the base. He grabbed Harry's hair and gripped it as he came hard into Harry's mouth, his shaft pulsating for several seconds before he was spent.
Harry grinned as he licked his lips, sitting up. "Delicious." He pulled Edward's legs up to hook them over his arms and moved closer, lining his stiff shaft to Edward's tight ring, and pushed in slowly. He lowly groaned as he inched his way to the hilt, dropped Edward's legs to wrap around his waist, and leaned down, kissing him hard.
Edward raised his hips and moved them, urging Harry to start moving. His hands gripped the sheets on his sides as Harry began to drive hard into him. He loudly moaned as Harry found the sweet spot inside him, "Yes, right there! Oh!" His eyes rolled back as he arched his back.
Harry grunted as he drove home over and over, "You're getting tighter." He bit back a groan as he undulated his hips faster. "So fucking good… Never thought it would be this good." He gripped Edward's hips and sped up in inhuman speed, hitting that spot Edward liked so much.
"Mm, I can feel your magic in me." Edward said as he rolled his hips in time with Harry's thrust.
"Really?"
"Ohh, yes. Feels so good to feel you in me -yes, right there- and the magic from you filling me up."
"Is it like this every time?"
"Every-oh yes-single-*moan*-time yess… I think it's one of the biggest reasons why I can do magic. Vampire absorb the blood they drink, the essence of their lovers. Oh!" Edward gasped.
Harry laughed as he slammed his hips hard, "I'll be happy to give you more -fuck-, as long you always promise to give me back equally."
Edward nodded furiously, "Yes… yes, yes, more!" He saw galaxy instead of stars as his lover hammered at his prostate. He moved his hands up to grip Harry's wrist where it was holding his hips. "I'm…"
"Me too." Harry panted.
"I love you." Edward all but screamed as his balls tightened, and a delicious sensation exploded all over his body. The galaxy in his vision turned into a supernova all at once. His come spurted a long stream of silvery-white liquid all over his chest, and Harry nearly roared above him, filling him up.
Then Harry collapsed onto Edward's chest, smearing the come between them. "I love you too." Harry said as he reached up to cup Edward's face and kissed him gently.
After lying together for a while, wordlessly softly caressing each other's skin, Edward was hard and ready again. He flipped Harry over onto his back and grinned. "I believe it's my turn."
Harry smiled and opened up to his lover, "Bring it on, love."
Ginny asked Ron, "Where's Harry?"
Ron looked up from his plate of breakfast. "Huh? He'll be down when he's ready."
Ginny gave her brother a dubious look and turned to Hermione, "Who is that guy who came with you all?"
The bushy-haired teen blinked and swallowed the food she was chewing before replying, "Oh, that's Edward Cullen. Harry met him recently and he came to help."
"They seem awfully close," Ginny said as she prepared her plate. She missed the looks between Ron and Hemione. "Every time I tried to talk to Harry, he's always there."
"Well, you can ask Harry." Hermione said.
"I guess, I'll ask him to talk to him." Ginny conceded.
Two goblets showed up at the table. Hermione looked over at it and nodded, "They'll be here soon."
"What is it?" Ginny asked as she reached for one. Ron was quicker and took both goblets away from her.
"Ah, don't worry about it." Ron grimaced as the liquid sloshed, a drop splattered onto his hand. He set them down and wiped his hand with the napkin. He made a slight gagging noise, "Eurgh."
The younger Weasley girl shot a look to her brother, "Is that blood?" She had seen the splatter, and it was dark red, nearly black.
Hermione shook her head and held a finger to her lips while Ron leaned over and whispered. "He'll explain later. Just leave it."
Ginny shook her head, "No! Tell. Me. Now." She furiously whispered back and grabbed the goblet and inspected it, "It is blood!"
Hermione took it from Ginny and sniffed it. "Dragon. Now, no more questions until later."
Ginny scowled started to eat her breakfast, but not as much enthusiasm as her brother has attacked his breakfast. It wasn't even five minutes that Harry slid into the bench across from her, followed by Edward.
She looked up and watched as Harry took both goblets in front of him, sniffed them, and inspected them. Then he handed one to Edward, and both drank deeply from the goblet. Edward licked his lips, not a drop of red in sight. Harry wiped his lip with a napkin and folded it down. He smiled at Ginny and greeted Ron and Hermione, falling into quiet conversation with them.
Ginny watched as Harry conversed with his best friends and ate slowly. She studied the handsome young man next to Harry. They had briefly met the night before, a simple introduction before they swept away to help in one part of the castle. True to many people's thoughts, he did look like Cedric, could pass off as twin brothers, but there was some difference. This Edward held himself with grace and poise that screamed a different era. His hair combed back in a messy style that made him look good. And his eyes, they seemed more golden than brown. But there was something off about his feature. She realized that Harry and Edward had glamour on, noticing a tiny shimmer that quickly flashed periodically; it was hard to catch unless you stared long enough. Horror slowly crept in as she stared at Harry.
Edward turned to her and tilted his head. "You're thinking too much about Harry and myself." Ginny paled. He smiled his half-cocked smile. "I know we briefly met last night. I'm Edward Cullen." He held his hand out.
Ginny blinked and grasped the cold hard hand and swallowed. "Ginny Weasley. Ron's sister."
"Charmed," Edward replied.
"You... how did you know what I was thinking?"
Edward rested his head on his fist, "I read minds. I can read everyone's mind in this room. It's depressing given the situation, but everyone has hope. Hope for the future."
"Yeah. Now that Voldemort is dead." Ginny replied uneasily. "How did you meet Harry?"
Edward laughed. "He was dropped at my feet, almost literally a few weeks ago." He glanced over to Hermione and met her chocolate eyes. He nodded and turned back to Ginny. "It's a tale I need to hold off telling until later, Harry wish to tell you himself."
Ginny frowned and pushed her plate away. She turned to Harry and said, "Harry? I would like to talk with you."
Harry stood up. "Then, let's take a walk around the lake." He looked to Edward, "I won't be long. Stay with Ron and Hermione."
Edward lazily nodded as he took another drink from his goblet. Ginny and Harry walked away, leaving the Great Hall.
"He's going to tell her?" Hermione asked.
"Yes." Edward replied nonchalantly. "She figured it out."
"Better him, not me." Ron winced. "That Bat-bogey hex is nasty."
Edward looked a bit worried toward the doors. Hermione kicked Ron under the table and patted Edward's arm. "If anything, Harry can handle Ginny. She needs to know that he is out of her reach now."
Edward turned back to the two. "I had to go through similar thing. I hope Ginny handled it better than Bella."
"Your ex-girlfriend?" Hermione asked, and Edward nodded.
Harry and Ginny walked side by side in silence around the lake. The weather was cool, and a hint of summer was starting to show here and there, birds singing and bright green foliage blooming. When they were far away from the castle, Ginny stopped and went to a large boulder used as a bench and sat down. Harry stood there, looking down at Ginny. He still feels love for her, but it wasn't as strong as he thought for Edward. At the most, he felt the love as if she was his sister. He turned away and looked to the lake, watching as the giant squid made its appearance, flailing its tentacles lazily.
"You're different," Ginny started. She wrung her hands together, looking down to the dirt. It had hurt. They agreed to wait to begin their relationship until after the war, but now things have changed. When she hugged him the other night, she was thoroughly shocked to find him hard like stone and ice cold. Then the look in his eyes had made her cringe, realizing her hope had died when he died. "You're a vampire, aren't you?"
He kept on watching the squid and replied softly, "Yes."
Ginny let out a small sob. "How… how did that happen? Did he turn you against your will?"
Harry turned to Ginny and went to sit beside her. "No. It was voluntary. In fact, he saved my life. I was hit by a similar hex Hermione got in fifth year at the Department of Mystery, but it was worse." He inhaled to release a long sigh, "I was dying. There was no way to come back from that. Hermione said a spell to send me somewhere to get me help, I ended up halfway around the world and at Edward's feet. He offered to save my life by turning me. I took it."
Ginny covered her mouth in horror, and tears were streaming down her face, "Oh Harry."
Harry looked at her sadly, "I am sorry." He looked down to his hands on his lap. "We can't be together."
Ginny wiped her eyes, "Why not? I mean, we can try… I can get over the hard and icy skin. I am sure you're really not that bad to look at under the glamour."
Harry chuckled and shook his head. "No, Ginny. That's not it. You see," He looked up and reached up, wiping the tears from Ginny's eyes. "Edward and I are mate." She frowned, bemused. "He's my soul-mate."
She gasped and drew back, turning away from him, and hugged herself. She understood what he had meant. "Like… like Fleur and Bill? That kind of creature mates?"
"Yes."
"Oh." She looked up to him over her arm, "You love him?"
"Very much so." Harry turned to her and reached out to her, hesitating before she nodded. He drew her into his arms to hold her close. He buried his nose into her fiery red hair, inhaling her sweet scent that he remembered. "Ginny, I do love you but not like that. If anything were different, then maybe we would've had a future." She broke down and cried in his arms, crying for him, for herself, and the future they could not have. "I can promise this, I will always love you like family, forever."
Ginny nodded and kept on crying. He held her until she ran out of tears.
"Are you sure?" Arthur asked as he looked at Harry.
"Yes. I need time to myself." Harry said, leaving the excuse as it is. "The floo between Burrow and Grimmauld Place is still connected?"
"Yes. Moody had it fixed that the floo only connect to Burrow before he died. The Fidelius Charm were automatically transferred to you when Dumbledore died because you are the owner. You can set the ward to whoever you want to come in. The ward charm is in the library, on the desk among few other books you need to read. Sirius and Remus had collected few of them before everything."
Harry felt a deep pang of sadness thinking about the people who had died for him. "That's good of them to do this for me."
Arthur smiled sadly. "They believed in you. They wanted to be sure you had what you needed in case of anything. I think they knew-" he trailed off.
"Thank you." Harry said. "Well, owl me before you guys come over. So, I can be prepared to receive any one of you."
Arthur chuckled, "No unexpected surprise, eh?"
If he could blush, he would. "Something like that. Let me know the details for the funerals."
"Will do, Harry." Arthur said and raised his hand to clap Harry's shoulder but stilled as the young man turned away and walked to the other man, Edward, who was chatting with Ron and Hermione quietly. He clenched his hand and let it drop to his side. He could sense that there was something different about the young man, and it wasn't from the battle experience but much more.
The patriarch of the Weasley clan observed Harry as he greeted Edward and bumped shoulder with the other man. He could see that Harry seemed different as if he had aged hundred years overnight. Yes, everyone had that look to them now, after the battle. But Harry was different from the rest. There was something, a deep secret the boy, no, the young man carried. And that Edward also has that look about him but moved it with more ease, as if he had done for years.
He shook his head and looked about to see where his other children are. The twins were saying goodbyes to their friends and whispering with two pretty girls; he recalls Angela and Katie. Maybe there would be some future with them.
Then he found Charlie, Bill, and Fleur with his wife, by the entrance doors. Charlie was going to stay for few weeks and then return to Romania. Bill and Fleur were returning to Shell Cottage but promised to be by every day to help.
Then he has two, no, one more to look for, and he glanced around the Great Hall. He found her, his youngest. Ginny was sitting with Luna and Neville. He frowned; he had thought she would be glued to Harry's side now he has returned. But it seems it would not be. He watched his youngest look to Harry from time to time; sadness filled her face. He glanced to Harry to see what he had missed about his daughter and the young hero.
Then he saw it. He forlornly sighed as he watched Harry curl his hand around Edward's discreetly between them. They were standing shoulder to shoulder, almost leaning against each other. So there had been some development between the two. He shook his head, he had hoped Harry would start courting his youngest, but it seems it would not happen. The matters of the hearts are not his thing to meddle. He surmised he would have to rein in Molly when she realized it.
He went to his wife, wrapped his arms around her, hugged her, and took in her scent. He was grateful she came out of the battle unscathed. He was proud of her; she was a fierce warrior and secretly tucked the memory away in his mind. He would cherish that for a long time.
"Ready to go home?" Arthur asked Molly.
"Yes. Is everyone ready?" She asked and saw her children plus Hermione gathering around them. "What about Harry?" She asked, noticing his absence.
Arthur shook his head. "He is going to Grimmauld Place. He wants time to himself."
Molly frowned, "But he should be with us. He shouldn't be alone."
"He will visit. And we can visit him. But he won't be alone; that young man, Edward Cullen, will be with him."
Molly looked to argue but saw Hermione, Ron, and Ginny all shook their heads and clamped
her mouth. She sighed and allowed Arthur to lead her out of the door and down to Hogwarts' gate to apparate home.
"Harry Potter." They turned to see Professor McGonagall approach them. She gave Edward a pointed look and turned to Harry with an eyebrow raised. "I am sure I've never seen this young man here, despite how frightenedly he looks like a former student."
Harry cracked a smile, his hand resting on Edward's shoulder. "This is Edward Cullen, he's from America. He came here to help me." He turned to Edward, giving him a beautiful smile. "I'm grateful for that."
Minerva watched the exchange between the two young men and noticed something special between them. She clasped her hands and cleared her throat, drawing attention back to herself. She smiled at Harry, "I speak for everyone here, thank you."
Harry shook his head, "It has to be done."
The older witch chuckled, "Still. I never wanted you to be burdened with being the one. Anyone really could've done it."
"Maybe. But there were things that has to be done in order to finish him, and Professor Dumbledore didn't tell anyone but me. I think he intended that to happen anyway. It's a long story."
"I know," Minerva said, stopping Harry. "Tell it when you're ready." She shook her finger at him, "Just not to Rita Skeeter. That woman has been trouble since she was a student here." Harry laughed. "But, what are you going to do now?"
Harry looked to Edward and smiled, "Honestly, I don't know. But for now, I think I want to go home."
"Home?" Minerva asked; she knew Harry had never called the Dursley house home, only that Hogwarts was home to him.
"Yeah. Grimmauld Place. It's mine, right?"
"That is true." Minerva smiled. "Well, we're going to start proceeding with the funeral soon. Most of the staff here agreed that Severus Snape's funeral will be one of the last one. He left a letter to me and requested for his funeral to be private, but I believe he would like you to come."
Harry smiled sadly, "I'd like that. I think my mother would want me to go."
Minerva had tears in her eyes and cleared her throat before replying, "Yes. I agree." She patted Harry's shoulder, "Don't be a stranger."
"Of course, I won't." Harry said and turned to Edward, "Ready?"
"Home?" Edward asked curiously.
Harry had promised Ron and Hermione he would come around to the Burrow to visit in a couple of days and opened an invitation to the Grimmauld Place any time they wish to come over. He also told the newly instated Headmistress McGonagall if she needed him to help with the castle and owl him any time. She said to him that she decided to close the school for the rest of the term and send them home for the summer. They would hold vigil in the fall when everyone returns for the new term and would like Harry to be there. He agreed.
"Yes. But, it's not much." Harry started and then laughed. "Now I think about it, we'll fit right in. It's a gloomy place, perfect for the likes of us."
Edward's eyebrow rose. "Oh, now you got me curious."
"Come on. To Grimmauld Place we go." Harry gestured to the doors. "We'll have to apparate outside the gate."
AN:
Sort of a filler here, but a good place to have another lemon, I suppose. I hope it was good.
Few of the chapters are without pictures. Which scene would you like me to draw to add in the chapter? Chapter 5, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16 and 17(this one) has none. I am open to suggestion for these chapters, but I can't be too explicit since they're going to be posted here. If there is a scene you want to see from a chapter that already has a picture, let me know too! I am looking for excuse to draw and need some inspiration!
