Note: So I have seen that there are next to no Eternals stories out there. Here on this website or , not even in the comic sections. And while they are some of the characters I knew very little about growing up, I can see the appeal now with the movie coming out soon. And have started picking up issues, so between the trailer(s) and their literary history, see not totally off at how writing one Eternal in particular. For yes, his personality reminds me of Scott Summers. However, he has shown moments that he does have a kind heart, nonetheless. So while, he may seem OOC (slightly) here, it isn't as much as I had anticipated.

Simon Williams takes over when Charles Lensherr finishes. "What can I really say that hasn't been said about Rachel's character. But since we are sharing stories, Rachel went out of her way to show her loyalty and love, even if you hadn't known her long. I know that there are some here who may disagree but she was the least judgmental person.

He sees the two sitting side by side on the bench. She gets up. "I will be over here." Rachel moves to give them as much privacy as possible, while still offering her support. "…If my love is a trap, then you have to let go." Rachel's head whips around at this. "Wanda, you can't mean that?!" "I do mean it, Rachel. I thought you supported me?!" "I do. But you didn't have to phrase it that way. All Simon has ever done is love you. I wish…" "I really can't…" The two red heads are left to ponder this turn in their life. "Do you hate me now?" "Of course not, Wanda, I just…" Rachel answers.

"There you are. I have been looking everywhere. I must say that you accomplished quite a feat, hiding from a telepath." Sitting by his side, the two continue to watch the horizon. A sigh springing forth here and there from him. "Do you want to talk about it?!" He shakes his head. She pulls her legs closer to her, wrapping her arms around them.

The two near the couple just as Wanda initiates the kiss, Simon's fist tightens. The flowers in his hands crumbling somewhat under the pressure. Rachel looks to him before the two, "Simon?!" "I'm sorry. I thought I could..." "No, wait?!" He is gone the next moment as Rachel follows him.

"I am sorry you had to see that." Turning he lays his head against her shoulder as she wraps her arms around him. "Why can't she love me the way I love her?!" "I know this isn't the first time you've asked this, nor will it be the last time. And I wish I had a good enough answer. You deserve it. After all that you have endured loving her.

But you know it wouldn't be right to ask her to give more than she can, you have never wanted only half or even only parts of her. But know that whatever happens, I will always be here for you." 'I'd like that, thank you. So does that mean among this complicated tree, this makes you, my sister?!" "If that is how you feel or want, I would never object."

Recoiling from the podium, "she lied, she lied…" The tears that want come out, don't. "You lied, you lied. You left us, me…" Clarice appears by his side. "Come on, Simon. Maybe it is time this eulogy ends and the sharing of memories is over?! It has clearly started to become too much." The fire entity appears consuming the area and stage, "Clarice Ferguson, is correct. Though, I have something I wish to say as I have been watching. And apologize it took me this long."

The deity morphs to resemble a younger version of Rachel Summers (Maximoff). "RACHEL?!" "You've come back to us?!" "Silence, Alexander Summers, Caitlin Avery. I am not the Rachel you remember. And I am only taking this form because she is the best representation of me. And I wish to honor her memory. "Take these memories and cherish them. For all of you are correct, Rachel was one of the best. But she would have never wanted any you to remain sad."

The headstone lays in front of them. "What will you do now?!" "I don't know. I have tried to live according to how she would have wanted. Just being myself. But they can't seem to look past my face. And I tried, I really tried, to live past that. But I can't deal with their lack of acceptance anymore. What did you do, how do they accept you?!"

Phoenix R.S. Wagner looks to her counterpart. "You're right. She would want you to be yourself. And as you should be, you know why we chose Rachel Summers. It may have been because of her genetics at first. But her being our best avatar was because of her emotions and being able to keep herself in check. This prevented us from losing control. And you know we have never come across someone like that before.

Nor would she have expected us to let this hinder us. And not live life the best we could. Rachel's capacity for love, loyalty and forgiveness were unparalleled. Not even Wanda or Jean could hope to compete with this on their best days. I know that their rejection hurts. But she wouldn't want you to blame them. Not when we made this choice to carry her semblance on our faces. The important thing is what will you do now?"

The wind gently caresses their hair as the silence stretches. Standing on the fringe of those gathered. "Maybe, I shouldn't have come?!" "Don't say that she would have wanted you here." "But they don't see me, they only think I am her." "We can't really blame them, masquerading with her face. But if you look hard enough, they see us too." "Do they?"

"I know it isn't easy trying to pave a way while sharing another's face and life. But it can be done. We are The Phoenix, there isn't much we can't do. Just trust in them and yourself and it should work itself out." "And what about them, she had no problem lying for you." "When the time is right. This isn't the time nor place for such a revelation."

Kate Bishop approaches with the rest of The Young Avengers behind her. "Phoenix?!" "Yes. It is fine. Though, given my current age and not to have us confused, Kid Phoenix will be fine. It works for Loki after all." "So, you would join us then?!" "Sure. And when we aren't rescuing people, maybe it would be good that I have my own identity." "Okay, we can help you come up with something."

She is running, holding the papers tightly to her. Opening the door, she is greeted with what she expects. The team is hashing it out amongst themselves. "Guys, it looks like it is time for a break. Caitlin is here." "Thank you for doing this, Avery. Even if it puts you in danger, taking over our operation…" "Oh, it is no problem, Rachel…I'm sorry. It is what she would have wanted."

"Yeah." Kid replies at the slip up, sighing internally. The others appear. "Hey, Cat! Good work out there, Rachel." The slight slump of her shoulders is ignored. Except by one who scrutinizes the interaction. "We are going to go unwind. You, coming, Rachel?!" "No. I am good." She is left alone with him.

"You know that they are never going to really accept you, right?!" Sighing, "I know. I just had hoped?!" "Oh this?!" He indicates their faces. "Oh, we can very well try, Phoenix. We have shown that we aren't the same. But as long as this charade is worn, it doesn't matter. To them, we are the same as we have always been. Clearly, we are gluttons for punishment." Loki tells her.

"I see. You know they aren't going to be happy about your choice." "What do they care?" "Oh, they care more than you think." "Mom!" The two Phoenixes turn to see Ray Wagner holding Tuc's hand with Kurt behind them. Releasing his friend's hand, he runs the rest of the way. Phoenix R.S. Wagner runs her hand down his head.

"Did you have fun?" "Yes. Took explained it to me. Isn't that right, Took?!" "You know you are never going to get rid of that pronunciation." "I know. But I have to say despite it being years and constantly hearing it, the grimace and wince wind up accompanying it." "You know that Kurt and I are grateful for your being there for him when we can't be, though, Tuc."

"Well, I will be taking my leave. It is time I find my own way." The headstone one of the prominent remainders of what connects them. Standing between his parents, his blue hair covering his forehead, his tail moving. "Rachel Summers…" "That's right." "What was she like?" Her smiling image carved in stone, looking back at them.

Folding the last of her clothes, she places it in the container in front of her. "I am ready." "What are you doing?! Where are you going?!" Turning she sees Thomas leaving, 'great. I better leave before.' William and Hope touch the ground with the others behind them. "Tommy says you are leaving. But why…Aunt Rachel?!"

Turning her head to the side, "you wouldn't understand. And I would justify things but I know it would be pointless. I don't belong here. I never did." "That's not true." The brown-haired child moves past them before clutching her legs, "do you really have to leave, Phoenix?!" Laying her hand on his head, "yes. James, I do. And I am sorry we never reversed the aging process and you have remained this way."

"It…kay." His voice muffled. Bending down, "you need to be good for them. And don't forget what they and Rachel taught you. You can do that right?" He nods his head. Seeing those gathered in front of her, she knows they will be fine and she is making the right choice. 'They have each other. Rachel would be proud.'

"Sharon, James, I'm sorry." "Daddy?!" He runs forward, "James, wait!" "It's really me, Sharon." Agent 13 embraces her husband. The kiss deep, reconnecting them. "For as long as I have had you humans, as some of my hosts. Certain emotions are still foreign, Rachel. Must everything be physical." The laugh resounds through their link, puts the entity off.

"It depends on the relationship. If one is superficial and shallow, then yes, everything is about the touch concerning lust. But if not, being physically affectionate is just as important. It displays a there is a bond and intimacy that wouldn't exist otherwise." "So, if I kissed you?!" "Not really, I don't care about you that way." "But if Sharon Carter still has doubts, then why is she?!" "She knows its him. The reservation is simply the cynic in her. But how, you wonder?! Well, he may have been able to fool them. Children, however when it comes to particular things are harder to convince. James looks up to Steve, so he knew something was off with Kobik and HYDRA's clone. He never lost hope." The Phoenix continues to watch through Rachel's eyes. "I think they need some time alone. James, come here." The child drags his feet reluctant to leave his parents.

'And to think that was the beginning of the end. Rachel was taken not long after this. And while I get what you had been trying to tell me, I am still clueless about certain things when it comes to romantic relationships, Rachel. And I rather not remember what I heard from Rogers room that night.' Sighing, she gets up. 'There is no point in trying to go back to sleep.'

Making her way down the hallway, the building begins to shake. She runs to the wing her teammates are currently occupying. Just as the roof is torn off, "uh, what is that?!" The creature is tall and represents Magento and Galactus to a certain extent. It's hand coming down as they barely manage to dodge out of the way.

"That is Gamiel, The Manipulator." Earth's Mightest turn to see Ikaris and The Eternals. "Don't fear, he isn't that much of a threat. Especially with having us and more than one deity here. Hello, Lady Phoenix." Ikaris takes her hand, kissing it. She turns her head, doing her best to hide the blush that appears.

"Is everyone okay?!" "We're good." "See, I told you, Gamiel wouldn't have been hard to manage. Lady Phoenix, if we could have a moment of your time?!" Ikaris says, as the other Eternals stand in the distance, giving the two some privacy. "We have been watching. And have seen all you have given for them. Not just as your doppelganger but as Rachel Summers as well. And how they can't seem to reconcile the two of you.

It is one of the reasons we are here today, if you agree, you have a home with us. We see you for who and what you really are, Lady Phoenix. You are beautiful and powerful. A rose among weeds can't really be expected to survive. Why do you think we don't stay long among them?!" "You really think I am beautiful?!"

"Yes. And I get why they don't understand, how can they, as strong as they are. Their strength pales in comparison to ones such as us. How do you really expect to grow this way?!" She turns to look at those who had been important to Rachel and her as well. The concern in their eyes, though, Rachel in the forethought of their minds; and not her as an individual.

Nodding her head, Ikaris turns as he and the others begin to take their leave. "When you are ready, to say good bye, all you have to do is let us know. We realize it will take a little time to pack. But for now, we must return to Olympia." "Rachel, what was that?" "Nothing for any of you to worry about."

"Lady Phoenix." Releasing James's hands from around her, "it is time I left." "But…but why?!" "I am sorry I could never be what you needed nor expected me to be. But it is time I discovered who I am. Not as a BAMF, Rachel or Jean Grey, Madelyne Pryor, Hope Shepard, Marc Spector, Rachel Summers, my other extensions or even Kid Phoenix. I haven't known who I am without any other avenue. And it is more than high time that I start; and maybe in time, I will return. And the bridges can be mended."

Looking to Phoenix R.S. Wagner as she leaves, "I don't get if we both took her appearance, why they accepted you more?" "You really didn't get it did you?! It had everything with the choices we made. Sure, we took her likeness to honor her. But you wanted to be your own person; and that is where you weren't wrong that they couldn't rectify this from that or her. Not when it mattered in the end.

Though, I have tried to tell you more than once, not that it matters now, that they saw you for you more than you realized. But I am sorry it still may have not been enough." "Be happy, like she would want. And continue watching over them, I wish things could be different." Taking the baggage in one hand, she takes Ikaris's offered arm with the other; as she leaves her friends and family without a second glance. "Are you okay?!" "No. But I will be." She answers him. "Let us go home."
