Note: Parts of this mirror a little of what is currently happening in the new run of The Eternals. And that is mainly because certain characters that have been introduced will be brought up here as well. So, rather than constantly state things again, not my property. And while there has been a lot of talking due to the basis being more on their interactions and not action (violence itself). And there will be more humor as well particularly centering on a certain person's antics.
Crouching he, turns to her, "well, how exactly do you expect to get us out of this?!" "You are really doubting me now?!" Shrugging his shoulder, "you are the one who showed up. Besides, it isn't entirely unwarranted." "Fine, I'll give you that. But even only you could have held out so long against them. You were beginning to succumb before I arrived, so don't act like you aren't grateful, Ikaris."
"You're right. Thank you, Sersi. Now can we get this over with, I need to find my wife and children?!" Her head slumps as she releases a sigh. "I see." "Did you really think and hope that I would go back to you, just because of this?! And what happened when The Final Host appeared?! I have been away from them long enough. And I know the hurt it caused, but that she would understand why I and the rest of us went through the decision we made."
"What are we doing here?!" "You are released." "What?!" "You knew that this was only temporary. We gave you the solace you had sought. And now that isn't needed anymore. Don't play dumb, it is beneath you. You felt it! You became aware of their return just like we have. Besides, he has reached out, subconsciously. It won't be long before he comes searching for you and those nuggets of yours. Beat him to it."
His head perks up. "Do you feel that?!" "I did." "Be ready. Something is about to come through those doors, something powerful!" Touching the ground, she looks around. "IKARIS?!" He stands up, knowing he is safe despite the threat around them. "AIKATERINE!" He moves forward only to stumble, still weak. She catches him just in time, his head laying against her shoulder, her arms wrapping around him.
"I'm here." "Where are the children?!" He draws back enough but not relinquishing her support. "Don't worry. They are fine." Looking up at him, the pull between them becomes too much. Searching the other's face before the gap no longer exists. The kiss passionate, deep, full of love and hope at them being reunited. Tightening his arms around her, she breaks it, looking to their companion.
Seeing Sersi's disappointment, hurt and resignation. "Thank you, Sersi!" The Eternal returns it with a grim smile. "If you hadn't shown up, our finding each other would have resulted in different circumstances, like last time we saw each other. I am just glad that the rest of you are all alright. Yes, even you." Sersi's smile brightens a little at this. "Despite the things I have done and still having hope for getting back with him, you still care?!" "Of course, I do, whether I like it or not, Sersi, you are still one of us. And you just kept my husband safe. I mean it, thank you!"
Turning back to Ikaris, "It is time we retrieve our children; they will be ecstatic to see you again." "And I will show you how ecstatic I am to see you later!" Grabbing his hand intertwining their fingers while still supporting him, running her hand down the side of his face. She laughs, bringing a smile to his face. "Come on then, cutie pie!" He starts laughing at this, "Aikaterine!"
"I hate that I have to break this love fest, but what about them?!" The trio turn to their enemies who haven't been able to move much toward them. "Oh, them!" Kathleen reaches out, her hand glowing before, sending them flying. The couple fly off in one direction as Sersi takes off in the other. The presence faint but choosing to ignore it for the moment. "Ikaris?!" "It's nothing. At least not something that can't wait. We won't be gone long anyway."
"Who is in there, my love?!' "Toby Robson." "And why is he important?" "I don't know. But for some reason, I have to watch over him. And do whatever it takes to keep him safe." "And what about us, we just got you back?!" He turns on her, "I love you and them. But you know keeping people safe comes first. And this child is no different."
"I see. This is good bye then." Taking her in his arms, staring down at her. "You're leaving me?!" Breaking his hold, "of course not. But clearly, I was sorely mistaken we mattered to you after all that happened." "So, you wish me to shrink my responsibilities, friends just to pacify you?!" The slap resounds.
"NO! But you haven't been back long and now their hearts are going to break again with you not being there. I can't, won't do that to our children again. And I thought you wouldn't either!" She is gone before he can protest. "AIKATERINE?! AKATERINE?! AKATERINE!" He turns to the open door with the family standing in the doorway, waiting as he steps forward, drenched.
"Toby Robson!" "Hello, it's you! Are you still angry with him?" "No, child. I support him. I just didn't appreciate him not paying attention to our children first. They are his priorities as well." "Aikaterine?!" "I have come to tell you I am returning to Asgard with the children." Ignoring the dejection, "would you like to meet them, Toby Robson?!
And I know that you two have a degree of resentment of me, Mr. and Mrs. Robson. I am not blaming your son. But I know you understand where I am coming from?!" Ikaris remains silent. The lights reflect in the water as the boats move gently due to the ripples in the them. A boy and girl appear holding Sprite's hands, while Kathleen reaches out her arms as another appears in her arms.
Each moves as fast as they can to their father which he picks up. "Toby, this is Jaycen Ikaris and Margo Rachel Pryce. Say hello" The children stare at him. "Hello…Can they not talk?" "Oh, they can. Just that given our lifespans since Ikaris and I aren't exactly human, their development seems to be very gradual. Jaycen is wondering what you are thinking is wrong with his hair?"
"It is unusual to someone to have two different hair colors like that." "We just chalk it up to ours." One half red, the other blonde. Ikaris approaches Kathleen putting Jaycen and Margo down, who immediately clutch his pant legs. Taking the child from her arms, a grimace appears on his face as he brings them to his chest. The babe reaches its hand out.
"Sprite, come. Due to the distance, we are not going to travel the usual way. It upset them last time. Plus, I do find some humor in what we are about to do. Say goodbye to your dad, Jaycen, Margo, Constantine Ajax." The children become more upset at this as Ikaris holds to Constantine a little firmer, before finally handing him to Sprite.
"My love, despite your decision regarding us, you know I still support and love you like I told Toby. So, I am doing what I have to, to keep them safe for the time being." "You don't need to leave for this to occur." "You know him and his people will do what they have to keep them safe. With you and the other Eternals not congregating at Olympia for the moment, it isn't best. Especially with the other deities not favoring us entirely for the time being."
Laying his forehead against hers, as she looks up at him. His eyes closed as the hurt is still reflected on his face. "I love you!" Cupping his face, which he leans into, "I love you, too. We will come back whenever this, whatever it is, is settled?!" He closes the gap as the kiss exhibits all their love, followed by a shallower, briefer ones before she finally breaks away.
Ikaris bends down. "Be good for your mom…I wish I could explain in a way you could understand, please don't cry!" He hugs Jaycen and Margo to him. "Of course, I still love you and Constantine. But mommy and daddy sometimes have things to do, that are beyond us. You will understand eventually." "You know that you don't have to do this?!"
Standing before backing away from them, "I already told you. For whatever reason, I have to, Toby Robson. And I take that very seriously and I meant what I said, if it comes down to it, I will give up my life to accomplish this." At his words, Kathleen ushers them forward. Puck reappearing after having getting the boat ready.
"Sprite, child." Running back, Jaycen and Margo do their best to follow and keep up, laughter accompanying their antics. "No. Don't run. Take it easy." "They are just having fun, Kat. And I am not a child!" Walking behind them, "sure you aren't?!" Untying the rope, the boat begins its journey as the two groups begin to look at each other as she brings the vessel rising out of the water.
"Come on! Look!" Sprite watching near the edge, as Jaycen and Margo grip the edge, before peering over the brink as the earth starts to become smaller. "Well now, you know what it feels to finally be "Peter Fricking Pan" is it, Puck?! What is it like?" "Barrie certainly did have something going there. But I have found nothing beats my magic nor your usual mode of transportation." "I could take it further with a semblance of "pixie dust" but that would just be overdoing it."
