Silence continues to fill the air as drops of tears of pain can be heard across the narrow hallway. Saitama sighed as he slowly glanced over to the sweaty and bloody Esper who was still laying on his shoulder. Saitama never had anyone express this much emotion to him before, let alone a female. Saitama was always viewed as an outcast to his peers which left him with no friends or company. People would rather take the risk to die than ask for his opinion or help, and because of his lack of experience, he doesn't know how it all works. Saitama questioned King's romantic games before shaking his head over how unrealistic it all was and instead, trusted his gut.
"Hey, Tats?" Saitama asked, patting Tatsumaki as she slowly looked over at Saitama. "You reek of dry blood, you definitely need a shower."
"Y-Yeah I definitely need a shower now," Tatsumaki replied, as a hint of smile exited her face.
"Alright, let's go," Saitama announced as he quickly let go of Tatsumaki causing her to almost fall. Tatsumaki hesitantly pouted as she stared at herself wondering if there are any damages to her brain. Tatsumaki knew it's been a while since she was able to express this much emotion to someone, let alone someone she just got to know. But her instincts knew that Saitama is the one who she can trust, something she thought she lost the feeling of. Tatsumaki sighed over this long-lost feeling as she started to float again. Tatsumaki quickly wiped the blood off her forehead with her arm as she floated towards Saitama, sitting back on his shoulder.
"What are you doing?" Saitama questioned, as he smelt a slight reek of disgust on his shoulder. "Can you not walk?"
"I'm just lazy, you can lead the way," Tatsumaki explained, as her original self is slowly returning.
"Sigh, I'm heading to your apartment since I don't want King and Genos to see you like this," Saitama confidently explained as he tugged on Tatsumaki's leg, almost pulling her off.
"Careful!" Tatsumaki yelled, grabbing onto Saitama's head before letting it go as Saitama stared at her. Tatsumaki blushed bright red before composing herself as she instantly fixed her gaze right back in front of her. "A-Anyway, you're going to help me and my sister right?"
"Hm? Yeah sure," Saitama quickly replied as he reached Tatsumaki's apartment door, recognizing the door was still slightly opened. Saitama then tugged on Tatsumaki's leg once more before giving his opinion. "You know you should lock your door, right? You don't want a burglar to raid your apartment since it's not fun, based on my experience."
Tatsumaki scoffed as she looked away from Saitama, feeling really weirded out on how she was being told off like a child more so on admitting her mistake. Saitama sighed over Tatsumaki's stubbornness as he slowly opened her door before feeling a tight hug of his head.
"Tats, what are you doing?" Saitama questioned as he glanced over at Tatsumaki who was frozen from head to toe. Her gaze fixed to the open entrance of her apartment before she looked down to acknowledge him.
"Do you not see that?" Tatsumaki questioned, before staring right back at her apartment door. Saitama looked back at the empty apartment, with nothing particularly weird before raising his eyebrow as he glanced back at Tatsumaki. Tatsumaki's face was pure fear or hesitation as she slowly glowed green much to Saitama's confusion.
"There's nothing there. Are you alright? Did you hit your head or something?" Saitama replied, confused but worried as he slowly stared deep into Tatsumaki's eyes.
"I'm fine! You're the one who is not fine, since you can't see that!" Tatsumaki stated as she pointed at the apartment much to Saitama's confusion as there's nothing there. Tatsumaki was in utter fear as she could see the walls closing in on the apartment door, the same one which caused her to freak out before. She was puzzled as she wondered if it was her own imagination but what she is seeing right now is so real that she could feel every strand of her hair stick up. The dark walls give out a terror and uncomfortable aura which caused Tatsumaki to feel fear as she knew her powers could not do any harm towards it, like a ghost that could never die as it is already dead.
"I don't know what you're seeing but I need a drink, so I'm heading in," Saitama revealed, as he calmly walked through the apartment door much to Tatsumaki's discouragement over the number of punches she tried to inflict on Saitama's head. Tatsumaki for the first time was scared, not because it would affect her physically but more so mentally as she could feel the walls closing in on Saitama and her as Saitama entered the apartment. Walls that scream "Come back" and "Don't leave" over and over again, giving Tatsumaki a headache over the visions she is seeing around her. The pressure and aura building on Tatsumaki is giving her a giant migraine as she slowly glowed bright green.
"Are you alright, Tats? You seem uncomfortable about something," Saitama worryingly asked, as he glanced over at Tatsumaki. Tatsumaki was breathing heavily as she could view the walls closing in on them, all sides except the door. Pure darkness and rage that could eat any light that comes in contact with her. Saitama was not helping her situation as she held her forehead with her hand trying to withstand the pressure of the walls before bursting out the front door much to Saitama's worry. Tatsumaki flew at incredible speeds, so fast that she smashed against the wall of the hallway before snapping her eyes back at the apartment door. The pure dark walls that gave Tatsumaki a giant migraine were closing in on Saitama but it stopped before it touched him and began to pull back much to Tatsumaki confusion. Tatsumaki concentrated further as she could see his fiery red and glowing white aura withstanding the pure black and purple aura which were secreted from the dark walls.
"Tats! Are you alright? You smashed your face against the wall!" Saitama yelled, worried as he slowly walked towards her. Tatsumaki saw as each step Saitama took, his fiery and glowing aura grew larger and larger, penetrating the dark walls as the walls slowly backed off. Tatsumaki fixed her gaze at him as she stood in silence over Saitama's presence. Saitama slowly kneels down at Tatsumaki before Tatsumaki snapped back to reality as once Saitama exited her apartment door, the dark black walls closed back in at incredible speeds before Tatsumaki slammed the door shut with her telekinesis.
"You should visit a doctor," Saitama proposed, worried over Tatsumaki's condition.
"No, I'm fine, I'm taking a shower at your apartment now," Tatsumaki expressed as she slowly got her breath back.
"Why? Is your apartment dirty or something?" Saitama questioned, scratching his head as he looked back over at the closed apartment door.
"Y-Yes and No. The walls were just screamin-" Tatsumaki shared before immediately stopping as she stared at Saitama's confused face. "W-Whatever, you probably think I'm crazy or something."
Tatsumaki shrugged before floating herself back up as she floated towards Saitama's apartment. Saitama was confused and concerned as he stared at Tatsumaki floating away from him before glancing at Tatsumaki's apartment door, hinges busted out but still holding the door in place. Saitama sighed as he walked back to his apartment, taking a peek around the burnt plastic packing scattered across the ground before picking one and placing it in his pocket. Tatsuamki was silently waiting in front of Saitama's apartment door with her arms crossed waiting for Saitama to open it. The pair walked in as Genos and King were playing with Rover. Rover immediately barked at Tatsumaki before running away in utter fear, hiding inside King's shirt, giving King the tickle.
"Sensei, you're finally back!" Genos exclaimed as he stood up to greet his Sensei.
"Ti-Genos, you know where the bathroom is?" Tatsumaki questioned as she looked around the apartment. Genos raised his eyebrow wondering why Tatsumaki was here before replying:
"It's next to the kitchen over there," Genos explained as he pointed towards the door before scanning Tatsumaki's face. "It appears you have cried over Sensei's lectures, it'll be best if you don't hurt Rover anymore sinc-"
"Shut it! Tin-Can!" Tatsumaki snapped, as she quickly floated to the bathroom door, slamming the bathroom door shut and breaking the hinges but surprisingly the door was still shut.
"What's with Tatsumaki, Saitama-bro?" King wondered as he took out Rover from the inside of his shirt.
"Not sure," Saitama revealed as he slowly walked towards the kitchen before removing the plastic packing from his pockets.
"Sensei, she destroyed another one of your possessions, should I consult her?" Genos shared, as he quickly walked beside Saitama. "If you need any assistance then I will be here to help you"
"It's fine Genos, I can handle it," Saitama explained as he grabbed a cast iron pan before turning the stove on. "Go check the fridge to see if we still have vegetables or not."
Genos nodded his head as he quickly walked towards the fridge before opening it. Scanning inside before snapping back at Saitama with a concerned look on his face. "Sensei! We ran out of vegetables! I will immediately go buy some with the coupon book."
"Yeah we could go buy some after I finish this, I found a really good store in I-City, we should go check it out," Saitama revealed as he removed a small piece of steak from the plastic packing before placing it in the pan to sear.
"Sensei, what are you cooking?" Genos wondered as he glanced over Saitama's shoulder to see a small piece of steak searing in the cast iron pan.
"Hm? Oh, some steak that apparently Tats was planning to give me," Saitama revealed as he continued cooking the small piece of steak.
"How generous of her to give you some of the rarest pieces of steak, you must be pleased, unlike the door hinges." Genos happily exclaimed as he knew he contributed to helping Tatsumaki in giving his Sensei something.
"Eh, I haven't tried it yet so I don't know if it's good or not but the packaging seems expensive," Saitama muttered as he took a bite out of the steak before a hint of smile exited his face.
"You seem pleased over the quality of the steak, I assume it reached your expectation?" Genos wondered.
"Yeah, it's really good, what a shame that there's not enough," Saitama sighed as he turned off his stove before throwing away the packaging.
"If you want Sensei, I could locate and buy more of the steak for you?" Genos responded as he brought out his notepad to prepare to take a note of it.
"It's fine Genos, it's not really the quality of the gift but more so on who is giving it to me," Saitama revealed as he exited the kitchen to fetch his cactus.
Genos stared at Saitama as he slowly walked away before wondering what he said. "Sensei is very different today, it seems that his heart rate is at an all-time high but it appears that he is not in danger. Is it the anxiety over the cost of the door hinges?"
After a while, The bathroom swung wide open immediately breaking it as Tatsumaki exited the bathroom. She slowly scanned the living room before giving a stare at Rover who ruined her planned gift. Rover squealed as he hid from Tatsumaki's sight, afraid of what she'll do next if she gets a hold of him. Saitama then exited his bedroom with his cactus in his hand as he slowly plopped it down on the dinner table for him to water. Tatsumaki floated towards him wondering why he was watering his cactus for the billionth time.
"Why are you watering your cactus, you know it doesn't need that much water to survive," Tatsumaki questioned as she crossed her arm beside Saitama.
"Yeah but a cactus needs some acknowledgment once in a while," Saitama explained as he kept watering, not looking at Tatsumaki.
"Why? It doesn't need a lot of water, you're just wasting water," Tatsumaki expressed as she stared at the pot of cactus.
"I know, but it doesn't hurt to give it a little bit more," Saitama quietly explained before stopping. "Cactus needs some water, I need it to survive since it's a gift fro-"
"Yo Saitama-bro, you wanna play some video games?" King asked as he began walking towards Saitama.
"Not right now King, I'm going out to buy some vegetables later," Saitama quickly replied as he set down the watering can.
"Ah, alright, if you're not playing then I'm going to go out to get some sushi so see you later," King exclaimed as he began to walk towards the apartment door. Tatsumaki stared at King for a while wondering why King didn't stop her outburst on Rover but decided to dismiss it and decide to question Saitama on something that was plaguing her mind.
"So how are you going to help me and my sister?" Tatsumaki asked as she followed Saitama back into his bedroom. Saitama simply ignored her for a while as he was too focused on not dropping the cactus.
"Do I like, follow your instructions or something or you're going to show me how it's done?" Tatsumaki added as she floated beside Saitama. Saitama then placed his cactus back down on his table before giving it a small pat before exiting his bedroom, sitting back on the couch, not acknowledging Tatsumaki one bit.
"H—Hey! Are you listening to me?" Tatsumaki snapped, but Saitama was unfazed by it. Tatsumaki was getting irritated over how Saitama wasn't taking her matter seriously, since she was kind of there just for his help. "Do you have a plan! Or are you as clueless as me? Do you even want to help me?"
"Tats, I do want to help you," Saitama revealed as he slowly glanced over at Tatsumaki's pouty face.
"Then plan it out and help me, damn it!" Tatsumaki demanded, crossing her arms. "I didn't cry my face out for nothing, you know?"
"Tats, you know what kind of plan never fails?" Saitama quizzed as he slowly stared at Tatsumaki.
"Hm? I don't know an intelligent one?" Tatsumaki retorted, wondering what kind of plan Saitama is going to come up with.
"No, no plan at all," Saitama revealed as he stared back at the blacked TV screen.
"W—What? So you don't have a plan! Then how are you going to know if what you're doing will work out?" Tatsumaki explained as she slowly moved closer to Saitama.
"If you make a plan, life never works out that way," Saitama explained as he stared back at Tatsumaki. "With no plan, nothing could go wrong since you never planned it in the first place, you don't have any expectations."
Tatsumaki thought of it for a while, taking in every single word that exited Saitama's mouth. Tatsumaki knew Saitama was right as every single plan she made had been a failure and it never worked out as she had planned it. She knew that what she planned failed and almost broke her relationship with Saitama but it all worked out in the end, why? It's because she didn't plan for it, she acted by herself.
"I need to buy some door hinges and groceries, you can stay here for a while since your apartment is apparently dirty," Saitama announced as he got up to exit the apartment door as Genos was waiting for Saitama. Tatsumaki's instincts were crying to follow him but Tatsumaki was hesitant. Tatsumaki knew that Saitama didn't have a plan but her instinct was crying for her to be with him as if there's something beneficial for her to gain from it. Tatsumaki decided to take it as she quickly took her spot on Saitama's shoulder much to Saitama's displeasure.
"Why do you always sit on my shoulder anyway?" Saitama questioned as they walked towards the elevator door.
"I-I don't know? I'm just lazy," Tatsumaki hesitantly explained as they waited for the elevator to arrive. Genos silently stared at Tatsumaki, taking in her hesitant actions and behavior with his Sensei. Saitama could only sigh before hearing the elevator ding, announcing the arrival of the elevator. The elevator slowly but surely opened its two doors before a familiar blonde swordsman appeared.
"Ah, Saitama, I was looking for you," Flashy Flash declared as he stepped out of the elevator before recognizing Tatsumaki on his shoulders. "The Tornado of Terror, are you with Saitama?"
"Hmph! Yeah, I'm with him to buy some groceries," Tatsumaki scoffed as she couldn't handle Flashy Flash entitlement, let alone his ego.
"So it seems that the rumors of you two being in a relationship is true," Flashy Flash revealed as he walked towards Saitama who seemed to be talking to Genos.
"W—What? No not like that you idiot! Baldy tell him!" Tatsumaki retorted as she nudged Saitama's head who seemed confused as he was talking to Genos.
"Whatever, I'm only here for Saitama," Flashy Flash replied as he walked in front of Saitama's face. "Saitama, I demand to test your abilities and train you to be my disciple."
As Flashy Flash revealed such a controversial statement, Genos interjected by standing in front of Flash Flashy, as he began to heat up. "You better retract that statement or you'll be dealing with me."
"I don't have time to deal with you trash can, my only interest is Saitama himself," Flash Flashy retorted before watching Saitama order Genos to back off.
"Genos, help me buy some door hinges, I can go train with u-uh S-Speed?" Saitama explained before hesitantly stopping much to Flashy Flash shock and horror.
"Flashy Flash, Baldy," Tatsumaki stated, with her arms crossed as she stared at Saitama's lit-up face.
"It is fascinating to see you be in a relationshi-" Flashy Flash teased.
"You better not finish that sentence or I'll turn your face into Sour Mask!" Tatsumaki boomed as she began to glow bright green. Saitama quietly tugged on Tatsumaki's leg to calm her down as she already destroyed enough in the hallway.
"Let's go do your training thing, Fl-Flesh?" Saitama happily stated as he began walking to the elevator. Flash and Genos simply followed right behind him as Genos kept an eye on Flash, making sure he doesn't say anything that would upset his Sensei. Flash simply shrugged it off as he followed along as he was curious about Saitama's abilities much less of Genos.
All three exited the apartment after a long period of awkwardness in the elevator which was accompanied by 17th-century music. Genos separated from the group as he had to purchase the finest quality door hinges that his Sensei needed as Flash, Saitama, and Tatsumaki entered the training room.
The three entered the most up-to-date training facility: giant white walls with as much space as any hero could ever want. The walls echo back each and every footstep the three were emitting as they entered the facility—except for sitting Tatsumaki. Tatsumaki crossed her arms and had her eyes closed as she entered the facility while Saitama was very much amazed in the surroundings as he slowly did a spin to catch every nook and cranny of the features of the room as he never knew there was any training facility near his apartment as he nearly flipped Tatsumkai off him. Flashy Flash slowly walked towards the control panel next to the main door as he rested his palm on the pommel of his sword as he slowly leaned forward to change something within the dashboard of the control panel. Slowly but surely giant and war-torn rocks started manifesting across the training facility signaling the beginning of training.
"Metal Knight designed these training facilities for only the S class, so you should be privileged to use one of these," Flashy Flash explained as he slowly walked to the center of the room. "But if you're willing to be my disciple, I'll allow you to use it as much as you like."
"Wow! These feel as real as the real one!" Saitama exclaimed, poking the rock as Tatsumaki struggled to stay on. "You think they have a food feature?"
"No! you cueball! And stop moving so much!" Tatsumaki yelled as she struggled to stay on Saitama's shoulder.
"Hey! You know you could get off you know? There's no reason for you to stay on my shoulder," Saitama added as he slowly stood up and walked towards Flashy Flash.
"I-I There's no reason for you to fight Flashy Flash! Just train with someone more capable like Bang or even me!" Tatsumaki retorted as she started to stumble with her words as there was no reason for her to sit on Saitama's shoulder.
Flashy Flash could only sigh in disbelief over the chaotic exchange between the one he believes is a brick wall to an actual brick wall, "This relationship wouldn't even last a few weeks, I'm surprised it even started." Flashy Flash sighed as he slowly took a deep breath, bringing his hands up to signal Saitama to stop. Saitama slowly stopped dead in his tracks as Flashy Flash stared at him a few meters away.
"Alright, let's duel for a while, 30 minutes time limit. I'm not allowed to use any weapons. If you land one hit on me within the time limit, you win; however, if you lose, you will follow my teachings and be my disciple," Flashy Flash declared as he straightened out his holster.
Saitama could only stare unexpressed as he slowly tugged Tatsumaki's leg to signal her attention. Tatsumaki was leaning her head on her hand, bored before the sudden tug almost sent her to the ground.
"What?!" Tatsumaki quickly replied before trying to reposition her perfect spot.
"Alright Tats, Flash and I are going to fight for a while so could you get off my shoulder for a while?" Saitama kindly explained as he stared at Tatsumaki's annoyed face.
"What? It's fine, it's not like Flash can hurt me or hit me anyways," Tatsumaki explained as she slowly adjusted her sitting spot.
"Sigh, You can sit later, I want to have at least some fun without having some stress on my right shoulder," Saitama sighed before feeling an increased amount of heat emitting from his right shoulder.
"Are you saying I'm fat?" Tatsumaki questioned with her eyebrow up, as Flashy Flash began to look up.
"You haven't eaten anything today, no fat person can survive that and we need to meet up with Genos soon so…" Saitama explained as he slowly picked up Tatsumaki off his shoulder like an owner picking up a cat. Tatsumaki could only freeze up as for an odd reason, she could never do anything whenever Saitama held her. Tatsumaki could only blush tomato red as she slowly set her down on her feet as her legs began to shake over the lack of leg movement she had for the day.
Tatsumaki slowly looked up at Saitama as she immediately let off a huff, "Hmph! Make it quick please, I'm hungry," Tatsumaki scoffed as she slowly turned around and floated a few meters away to watch the fight. Tatsumaki sighed as she floated high above the air as she laid on her side, bored out of her mind. She slowly glanced over at Saitama's unexpressed face as she can hear Flashy Flash mumbling towards Saitama. Tatsumaki sighed as she felt the scars of her wound in both her palms as she could not stop finding something fascinating over the bald hero as although Saitama did say that he'll help Tatsumaki with her problems, Tatsumaki is not generally confident that Saitama will after what he said to her. After all her interactions with him, she could not seem to break her shell over the lack of ability to take help from others even though she believes he has the maximum credentials for it as hints of her own stubbornness start to return.
"Am I just overthinking it?" Tatsumaki thought. "When have I taken suggestions from others? Family members? No! Friends? Obviously not! Then what? Power? Blast?! I accept Blast's suggestions since he saved me but he hasn't really given me much? It's not like I don't appreciate his help but other than that, he never really treated me anymore but as a co-worker or maybe a victim. I'm not sure at this point but I am sure that power and strength are everything, that's what Blast taught me. Only the strongest can survive this harsh world."
As Tatsumaki continues to recall her thoughts and memories about her past and compares them to Saitama, Flash continues to explain the duel to Saitama. "Alright, I won't use my weapons. You got that?!" Flashy Flash declared as he stared at Saitama's expressionless face before sighing over his lack of attention. "Alright, let's begin."
As soon as the last syllable exited Flashy Flash's mouth, Saitama immediately teleported in front of Flash as his cape soon blew behind him at tremendous speed within a millisecond later before attempting to grab Flash with his iron grip. Flash, surprised by his speed, almost tripped as he dashed backward destroying the rocks along the way as he began to wipe his sweat with his arm. Tatsumaki instantly stood up after the first exchange as her concentration started to grow into the fight. "Dammit, I almost let my guard down. He always seemed so laid back that I keep forgetting that he was the one who defeated Garou." Flashy Flash recalled as he slowly got back up to his position. "I have to commend you for that bold and perceptive surprise attack but that was your first and last chance; now it's my turn!" As Flashy Flash got into his stance, bringing up his hands into a martial arts form waiting for Saitama to hit first.
Tatsumaki propped herself up as she crossed both her legs together as she slowly watched the two, exceptionally interested in Saitama's abilities. "It's my first time seeing him fight and it's very close to who I think it is. I'm not a martial artist but even I can see that his movement is so laid back and simple, it's as if he isn't caring at all about the fight?" Tatsumaki wondered as she shook her head to forget her thoughts as she knew another move was about to start.
Saitama instantly dashed forward with his right arm up as Flash immediately dodges it with a spin move before announcing "Spinning Top Slide" before surrounding Saitama with a yellow electric circle with after images of himself projecting over the electric walls as "Flowing Shadow Feet" is calmly declared around Saitama generating a surround sound over the speed Flash was creating.
Tatsumaki looked on as she kept thinking about if Saitama could help her at all, "Power? It's not like power is everything right? Power doesn't really matter, does it? This dumb Baldy's words were enough but no! Words can't protect me or my sister, strength and power can then why? Why? I-I You're powerful and each of your words means so much so what? Why should I give you a chance to help me? Because you're powerful? Blast is powerful but we don't hang out at all other than work and even then?! He never really bothered helping me, but only getting me stronger. Then what changed? Blast is a hero and I appreciate him for saving me but does it give me a reason to follow his words just because of that, because he's powerful!" Tatsumaki wondered as her thoughts in her head began to constrict as blood vessels are displaying themselves from her forehead. Tatsumaki immediately held her forehead as the biggest migraine began to hit her. Tatsumaki slowly loses her balance as she begins to lose her focus on her telekinesis. She slowly calmed herself before plopping herself back with her legs crossed as she wondered more about what she thought while watching them fight. Flashy Flash continues to use his technique on Saitama to no avail as Tatsumaki continues to watch them fight as her thoughts keep jumbling over her ideals. Everything she built upon and followed now is contradicting each other as she stared at the two.
"Falling Leaves Barrage!"
"Power?"
"Blue Temple Fist!"
"Strength?"
"Wind Blade Kick!"
"Words?"
"Dragon Thrust Kick!"
"Action?"
"Misty Mantle!"
"Hero?"
"Falling Moon Palm"
"I don't understand anymore!"
"Can you even last 30 minutes running around like that?" Saitama added after seeing Flash begin to wobble as tears of sweat began pouring down his face. As Saitama continued walking towards Flashy Flash, he immediately took a stance as he announced, "Ultimate Technique: Flashy Fist!" before sending a barrage of lightning punches at Saitama who stood wide open as he took every punch head-on.
"Then what's different! I don't understand!" Tatsumaki wondered, frustrated as she stared at the two fighting. "He's powerful like Blast, right? That's what Bang told me! But why should I let him help me? Because he's powerful? No! I followed Bang's life advice and it didn't work out for me even though he's powerful! Baldy being a hero? For what?! He's not a hero to me, he didn't save me from any danger! Then what?" As Tatsumaki continued to rub her hair over the frustration about it as her headache began to rise again.
"Alright Saitama, from now on I'm going to use my weapon to simulate a real battle," Flashy Flash declared as he removed his sword from his holster.
"Weapon? I should've brought a mosquito swatter," Saitama wondered as he stared expressionless at Flashy Flash. "Would it even work against swords?"
As Genos was quickly returning back with a bag of door hinges, he immediately stopped as if he detected something.
"There are two life forms who are moving at incredible speeds, I'd expect it to be Sensei and Flashy Flash," Genos wondered as he began walking towards the door of the training facility.
The pair continue to engage in tremendous speeds with Saitama completely blocking and destroying every ability and technique Flashy Flash is throwing at him. Each punch and kick provides no benefit for him and even his beloved sword that he received from Metal Knight was shattered through Saitama's teeth. Techniques were useless now as Flashy Flash was backed into a corner as he was prepared to take the force of one of Saitama's punches before:
"Sensei! I'm sorry to interrupt your session with this disciple applicant but I have delivered you the door hinges!" Genos announced seconds before Saitama landed a punch at Flashy Flash.
"Genos! Ah thank you Genos, now we won't have to ask the front desk anymore. The hinges in the Hero Association building are expensive," Saitama expressed with joy as he looked inside the plastic bag.
"Sorry Sensei, but there is a monster alert and we have to get there as soon as possible." Genos explained.
Tatsumaki slowly floated down as she noticed the fight was over. She wanted to be fascinated over how surprising it is for Saitama to be this strong but she had no expectations as she expected this from the respect King and Bang gave him. But it was more so of the fact that she was too focused on why Saitama is special. What is the reason for her to accept him to help her when everyone else failed? "I never reach out to therapists or professionals because I know they'll all fail. Fubuki should be the last person to know this and Blast? I want him to but he doesn't help as much as I want to and even so, he's not around. Then why should Baldy be the one? I just don't understand, does he feel pity? Is he just doing his job as a hero?"
"Alright, Genos let's go see what kind of monsters are there," Saitama declares as an enthusiastic disciple agrees with a confident nod. "Flesh, you coming?"
"It's Flash! We'll continue the teaching lessons later after I observe your fighting skills against the monsters," Flashy Flash explained as he fixed his cape.
"Dammit, then what? He's not a hero to me yet he's powerful, then why would he help me and why should I accept him? Why?" Tatsumaki continues to wonder.
"You should eat some food, we're going to get some groceries after the monsters, you can join and all since that's repayment of that sword I just broke," Saitama explained as he walked over a scrap of metal on the ground.
"Ah a celebration of you becoming my disciple, that is not needed I—" Flashy Flash explained before being cut short by Saitama.
"Nope!" Saitama quickly replied.
"What? A friendship offer?" Flashy Flash joked, slightly annoyed over how he still isn't accepting his offer.
"Mostly your sword but sure?" Saitama quickly explained, as he slowly walked towards Tatsumaki.
"Friendship?" Tatsumaki thought and as if a lightbulb went on in Tatsumaki's head, she slowly recalled back to the hallway with Saitama. Pools of blood and tears dripped and flooded the narrow hallway as if the only source of light and relief was Saitama himself. Words of wisdom and encouragement of change echoed through the hallway every time Saitama spoke, giving Tatsumaki a chance to change for the better for her sister.
"Not as a hero, but as a friend"
"Friendship? Baldy did that because he sees me as a friend? He doesn't see himself as a hero to me nor does he feel the need to help me at all. After all the interaction with him, he sees me as a friend?!" Tatsumaki thought as her headache began to progressively worsen but she felt a sigh of relief over her new discovery of what she saw in Saitama, "Blast never interacted with me that much after him saving me except for work, it just feels like I'm a co-worker to him but Baldy's different. Badly, you're very strong but this may be the first time someone helped me because of friendship rather than their job. That's the difference between you and a therapist and maybe, no he provided me too much for me to say that. But in the end, I'm just overthinking it, I guess, Bang said Saitama is the key and I slowly can understand why he said that."
Saitama slowly walked towards the thinking Esper as she slowly floated down towards the group before Saitama patted Tatsumaki's shoulder, trying to wake her up from her daydream.
"Tats! We're going to fight some monsters, you wanna come?" Saitama asked cheerfully. Tatsumaki could only give a hint of a smile before slowly sitting back down on Saitama's shoulder, much to the surprise and displeasure of Flashy Flash.
"Never in a million years could I see you forming a relationship Tornado of Terror," Flashy Flash expressed as he slowly walked past the two.
"What? Don't get jealous because you don't have any friends, Flash," Tatsumaki retorted as she closed her arms.
Flash was about to give his rebuttal but was quickly cut off by Genos:
"Don't fight something you don't have Flash," Genos interjected as if they were attacking Flashy Flash all at once. "Unfortunately, actions speak louder than words."
"Tsk! Genos! That is not an acceptable way to talk to your Grand Master, I'll have to discipline you after I deal with the monsters."
"You dare believe you're superior to my Sensei?" Genos retorted as he slowly walked up towards Flashy Flash before Saitama quickly got in front of two to break up the fight that was about to start.
Tatsumaki could only think about the line that Genos said as Saitama began breaking up the two. "Actions speak louder than words," Tatsumaki thought. "Wait, has he done that little?"
As the group begins to leave the facility, a camera within the training facility follows them until they left the sight of the camera causing the lens to slowly retract. The training facility's door slowly begins to close behind the group as lights began shutting off one by one before finally, the camera shuts off its recording...
Author Notes:
Sorry for the huge break that I took. I honestly didn't have the motivation to write at all since for some reason after a while of rereading everything and writing new chapters. I just felt some odd cringe every time I wrote a new sentence, it's just some odd feeling about it. I don't know, maybe it's just the feeling of writing fanfictions instead of original work. Not to mention, got some personal problems to deal with such as moving and such so that caused a huge delay as well but I'm alive and well. I have more ideas to write since I have technically written the storyboard but I am not sure when the next chapter is going to be out. But I guarantee that this story is not dead. Moreover, some parts of the lack of motivation are just that I hate boring chapters, like stalling or explaining, but it's important to the story even if it's boring to write.
I just want to make clear that it's been a while since I've written anything so I apologized if it does not meet your expectations after that long of a wait or the writing is oddly different for some reason. Or anything related to the chapter as I've mentioned before just felt boring to write after the previous chapter I've written.
In addition, I realized that I bit harder than I could chew if I have to write every single aspect of the webcomic as I guarantee you that'll take at least 500,000 words to include everything I wanted to add and the story will just grow stale. I'll include as much as I can but the focus is always going to be Saitama and Tatsumaki and that is the end of that always. So, if I miss anyone, anything or I don't complete a minor character's background, I guarantee you I realized this but I just didn't want to add them as they provide no benefit to the story. I know there's not enough information for some characters and I apologized in advance.
Thanks for all your reviews, it definitely gave me some motivation to continue the story.
Anyways, I hope I made your day a little bit better and obviously hope to see you all soon.
