My entire body was tingling with magic, but I didn't care about that, all I cared about was pouring my magic into Eric, giving both of us what we needed. I didn't know how all of this was possible, but this was what needed to happen.
I kept running my hands up and down his back and his arms and kissing him all over his face. I felt completely content for the first time in a long time and my love was feeling a little out of it. "Eric, are you all right?"
"I don't know."
"Do you still love me?"
"More than anything."
"You trust me, right?"
"With my life."
"Good. We are going to be just fine."
"What did you do?"
"What I needed for us to be together."
"Could you elaborate a little more on that?"
"When the time is right I will, I promise." I kissed him one more time on the lips. "Do you think that you can stand?"
"I think so." I helped him to his feet and I could still feel the power emanating between us.
"How do you feel now?"
He looked down into my eyes and smiled. "I feel invincible."
"Good, let's go tap some fairy blood so Godric can walk in the sun." I grabbed his hand, but I stopped short before reaching the door. "Did you want to call Pam to come and help us?"
"I already did. She should be here anytime now."
"Good, let's go interrogate a fairy. I have some more questions for him."
We walked back out into the main room and Godric had restrained Lloyd to a chair. "Are you both all right?"
"We're fine Godric, thank you." I stepped up to Lloyd and got right in his face. "Since you seem so full of useful information, I'm going to ask you some questions. Answer truthfully and you'll get out of this alive. Lie to me and my vampires will enjoy a day in the sun while you turn to dust. Are we clear?"
"Yes majesty."
"Good." This majesty thing was a big ego boost, but I couldn't think about that now. "Okay, I can siphon powers. How long will they last?"
"For normal fairies the powers would fade over a few weeks to a month, since you are royalty, you can choose to keep the power permanently or release it back into the universe."
"Is that only with other fairies or is that with any magical creature?"
"With you, any magical creature."
"That's good to know Lloyd I'll be needing another power from you." I placed my hands on his chest and I pulled out his ability to create multiple vampire killing balls of light. This was my ace in the hole and I wasn't ready for a one and done shot. I had gotten used to my fairy powers and I wasn't ready to give them up.
I felt the power slip out of him and into me, but it felt different somehow. I couldn't think about that now. Pam would be here soon and we needed to finish our plans for Russell.
I pulled my hands away from Lloyd feeling more powerful than ever before. "Okay Lloyd, we are going to need a small donation from you now."
"What kind of donation?"
"We just need a little of your blood." I went into the bathroom and grabbed one of the glasses, then I got the steak knife from my purse. "Can you boys handle being in the same room with a bleeding fairy?"
"We will be fine Miss Stackhouse."
"Godric, we are practically family, call me Sookie." I paused and took a deep breath before I brought the knife to his wrist. "Okay, here we go." I sliced the knife across his wrist and I heard two sets of fangs snap down, but I'd expected as much. I held the glass under the dripping blood until it was full. I instinctively held my hand over the wound and I watched his skin knit itself back together. I should have been shocked at what I had just done, but at this point I wasn't about to let anything surprise me.
"Thank you Lloyd, you have been most helpful." I set the glass of precious blood down before turning back to him. "Now I want you to tell Queen Mab to leave the hybrids alone or she will have me to deal with. Understand?"
"Yes majesty."
"Good." I waved my hand at him and said, "Go home." He vanished leaving his restraints behind. I turned to Eric and Godric and they were staring at me with their mouths hanging open. ""What?"
"Lover, what did you do?"
"I sent him home. We got what we needed and I was done with him."
It seemed like he wanted to say more, but before he could there was a knock on the door. "That must be Pam." Godric went to answer the door while Eric came over to me. "What's the matter?"
"Sookie, you have never done things like that before."
"I know. It's pretty cool, huh?"
"I wouldn't quite put it that way."
"Are you worried?"
"More like concerned. We are in uncharted territory and I couldn't go on if something happened to you."
"Nothing will happen to me, I'll be fine." I placed my hands on Eric's chest and my mind was filled with images that weren't coming from anyone's mind and that somehow I knew hadn't happened yet.
We were in Russell's mansion in the midst of a fight. It seemed as if we were winning when suddenly Pam and Godric both became bloody puddles on the ground. Eric dropped to his knees and before either of us knew what was happening, a blade had taken off his arm. I could feel his pain as if it were my own and it was enough to bring me back to reality.
I looked up at Eric and in that moment I knew what I had to do.
