Author's Note: I have this story finished a hopefully should have the last few chapters up this weekend, but don't hold me to it. Read on and leave me some love when you are done:)

I looked over at Pam as she walked into the room and that solidified my resolve. I knew what I had to do and I had to do it alone. I would not risk losing anyone else that I cared for.

I pulled Eric down so that we were face to face and I kissed him with all of the love I had in me. "I love you and I pray that you will forgive me for what I am about to do." I kissed him once more before pulling away from him and disappearing into thin air.

I popped myself just outside of Russell's mansion where I wouldn't be seen. My heart was pounding knowing what I was about to do, but I managed to quickly calm myself down so no one would discover me. I was doing this for my vampires, for my family. This is what I needed to do to protect them, to protect us all.

I opened my mind to find where Russell was. From what I could hear from the wolves wandering the property, Russell was out riding by himself. That just made this so much easier. I searched for his void and popped near to where he was.

I watched him from my hiding spot in the tree line for a few minutes before making my presence known. "Good evening Mr. Edgington."

He stopped short on his horse when he saw me standing there having quite literally appeared out of nowhere. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?"

"I am what you have been wanting for almost three thousand years. I am your ticket into the sun."

He was in front of me with his fangs bared before I could even blink, but I wasn't afraid of him anymore. "Well then, you are going to hold still while I take my fill of your blood."

"Your glamour doesn't work on me. And you are the one who is going to hold still while I get vengeance for my mate." I could feel the power building up inside of me as I conjured my vampire killing ball of light. I felt more powerful than I ever had before. "You killed my love's family and if you live you will kill more of our loved ones and bring anarchy to all vampires. I can't, I won't let that happen again." I held my ball of light up so that he could see his death coming. "Goodbye Russell. Say hello to Bill when you get to hell." I pushed the light ball into his chest and watched him light up like a Christmas tree. It was like the sun was inside him and burning him from the inside out.

I stepped back as the light completely engulfed him and he exploded. There was no trace of him left behind. I felt an enormous sense of relief now that he was gone, but I could also feel worry, anger and panic fill part of me. Eric. This was not going to be good. I focused as hard as i could on Eric and popped back into the hotel room.

I appeared in the middle of the room and saw Pam and Godric off to the side while Eric was pacing back and forth running his fingers through his hair. "Eric."

He stopped short when he heard me say his name. He zipped over to me and I could feel the anger radiating off of him and seeping into me. We needed to talk before we went off on each other, but I didn't want to do it with an audience.

Before he could say anything I grabbed Eric's arm and popped us up to the roof. "Let me explain before you start yelling at me."

"What could you possibly say to make what you did okay? You were the one who kept saying we needed to do this together, but I'm going to assume that Russell is dead now?"

"Yes he met the true death at my hands."

"Sookie, what were you thinking going there alone? What if he had attacked you before you ended him? I wouldn't have been able to do a fucking thing except feel you slip away from me."

"You don't have to worry about that anymore." I held out my arm to him. "Bite me."

"What?"

"Bite me, but don't do it gently. I want you to tear into my arm."

"Are you insane? What are you thinking?"

I pulled him down so that we were face to face. "You asked me to trust you, now I'm asking you to trust me." I held my arm up between us. "Bite me."

He kept his eyes locked onto mine as he dropped fang and tore into my arm. I felt the pain for a split second before Eric pulled away. We looked down at my savaged arm and we watched the skin knit itself back together on it's own.

"How is this possible?"

"I may have borrowed your healing ability earlier." We watched my arm finish healing and I smiled up at Eric. "I knew that I would be fine no matter what."

"Sookie, you took a big risk tonight and I don't want you to do it again."

"You're not the boss of me, but I will try to stay out of trouble. That's the best you'll get from me."

"For now." He took my arm and kissed where he'd bitten me. "Is there anything else that you may have 'borrowed' from me?"

"Well, I may have also taken your immortality as well."

"I thought that you wanted to grow old and..." He trailed off and I could feel his pain at just the thought of me dying.

"I used to feel that way, but being with you has changed my mind. It hurts to watch the people that I love die, but that's possible no matter how long I live. Also the thought of you watching me die breaks something inside of me." I felt the pang of pain that went through him at my words. I wrapped my arms around him and poured all of my love into him. "I am not going anywhere Eric. We were meant to be together. Nothing can or ever will come between us ever again."

"Do you mean that?"

"I do. I want to be with you forever."

"I want to be with you forever too."

"Good." I pulled him down and kissed him. "Now take me home to Bon Temps."

"As you wish."
