A/N: Bet you didn't think it would actually happen, did you? Well, surprise! Chapter 2 literal minutes later! I have a couple of questions that I'll ask at the bottom in regards to cast for both the viewers and the viewed of this story at the end of the chapter. Anyways, here's the Chapter 1 summary for all the reaction fic veterans.

Chapter 1: A Vampire's Gift Summary: Zelretch dropped Class Cards on Salem and wants entertainment while making sure the bad guys don't win. He decides to make the cast of RWBY watch Fate/ Oath Under Snow starring themselves by installing the Archer/Heroic Spirit ARC Class Card into Jaune, making him fall into a coma, and making the only cure be watching the movie. He also gave them a book, The Beginner's Guide for the Novice Magus, to help them not be too confused. Blake takes on the job of managing the book and explaining Fate's jargon, lore, and terminology.

Oath Forgotten, Born Anew

Chapter 2: Wish Upon a Rose

"Alright, is everybody ready?" Ruby entered the hospital room, arms full of chips, drinks, and popcorn.

Yang plopped herself down onto the largest bean bag they had, looking over the wide array of pillows, blankets, and plush chairs layed on the floor. "Yep!"

Nora looked up from the projector, eyes twinkling in excitement. "Projector's ready! It's time for movie night!"

Blake looked up from her book with one eye twitching. "Let's watch it already. I can't understand half of this 'beginner's guide' without context."

Ruby nodded, pleased with her leadership skills. 'Pillows, check. Blankets, check. Movie, check. Weird stuff, check. Jaune…' Pyrrha finished fluffing his pillow and placing it under his head. 'Check!' Ruby picked up the disc and threw it into the player. "Movie time!"

The screen came to life, showing the globe of Remnant from a distance with a starry sky behind it and an unshattered moon behind it.

All their eyes widened. They knew their planet was round and had a general idea of what it would look like from outside of its atmosphere, but had no idea exactly what it looked like. The unshattered moon was just as beautiful, if not more so, than artists depicted it once looked like. "Whoa."

Jaune's voice began narrating. "One man chased a dream of bringing salvation to all." as an image of a worn middle-aged hand reaching out as if to take someone's hand overlaid the planet behind it.

Ren perked up at the sound of his leader's voice. "I guess Jaune is the narrator."

"Giant space hand! Why is there a giant space hand?!" Nora yelled, almost falling out of her seat.

"It looks like it's not an actual giant hand, but just a visual to introduce us to the story." Blake glared at the pink grenadier. "Now shush, I want to watch the movie!"

In a flash of light, the hand was replaced with a smaller, pale hand. "Another made a choice…" The hand gripped the air, whether it was in desperation or anger is unclear. "...to assure humanity's survival."

Another flash of light, and the hand was now replaced by a less pale one, reaching out for a smaller hand. "Meanwhile, I made a wish." The smaller hand faded away before the larger hand could reach it. The lone hand clenched into a determined fist.

The visual of the earth disappeared, replaced by that of a young girl with black, red-tipped hair. "Just for her…", the voice of Jaune ended with a warm familiarity.

"Baby Ruby!" Yang instantly hugged her sister. "I thought I would never witness such cuteness again." She wiped away faux tears as Ruby struggled to escape.

Weiss ignored the sisters, focussing on the narration. "The three people have admirable goals. I wonder who they are." She said thinking about the hands shown. "Except the last one of course, that was Jaune. I do wonder what his relationship with Ruby is though."

Fate/ Oath Under Snow

Pyrrha smiled, thinking of the blonde knight's catchphrase. "An Arc never goes back on his word…", she whispered under her breath.

While nobody else heard her, Blake's faunus ears caught the comment. "Did you say something Pyrrha?"

Pyrrha looked up at her in surprise, not expecting to be heard. "I was just thinking about a phrase Jaune likes to say, 'an Arc never goes back on his word'. I was wondering if it may apply to the story since the word 'oath' is mentioned in the title."

They nodded, understanding her theory.

The title card faded, showing the inside of a small car driving on a rural road with two people in the front seats. In the driver's seat was a ragged James Ironwood smoking a cigarette. In the passenger's seat was a younger Jaune, no older than 12, holding a worn journal.

Pyrrha and Nora squeed at the cuteness. "Little Jaune is so cute!" Nora vocalized, since Pyrrha was overwhelmed by the cuteness. "He's even got a little hoodie!"

Yang, however, was focussing on something else. "Why is that guy smoking in the same car as Little Jaune?! Wait, who is he? He doesn't look related to Jaune."

Ruby perked up, glad her debacle at the CCT during the dance was coming in useful yet again. "That's General Ironwood! He's the guy in charge of security for the Vytal Festival and headmaster of Atlas Academy."

"I've heard a fair bit about him from my sister." Weiss added in with pride. She was the Atlas expert and she'd remind them of that, dang it! "He strives to protect others no matter the cost, and has gained both fame and infamy because of it."

"The Rose Clan?" Little Jaune asked out loud.

"Me?" Ruby questioned, tilting her head like a confused puppy.

Ironwood took a drag from his cigarette and nodded. "Yes. They're one of Fuyuki's most distinguished families, with history dating back to the Tensho period. But despite having such a lengthy past, they're hardly remarkable. Except for one irregularity."

Jaune turned to face Ironwood. "Irregularity?"

Yang tilted her head in confusion like her sister. "Fuyuki? Tensho?"

"I read something about one of those… Fuyuki." Blake flipped through the book given to them. "It mentioned it was a city and the site of some kind of war. And Tensho… it said somewhere that it was a time period long ago. At least 800 years? It wasn't very specific."

Everybody went wide eyed at that thought. A family with a recorded history older than the modern kingdoms?! That was unheard of!

'I wonder if that means I'll have a bigger family?' Ruby thought.

Ironwood nodded. "To be specific, the fact that nobody has seen any of their daughters prior to the age of seven."

Jaune lowered his book. "What do you mean?"

"Whenever they reach that age, their kids suddenly appear in public. The family has given a variety of excuses, 'they just recovered from a serious illness' or 'they were staying in the care of a relative' and so on." Ironwood took another puff from his cigarette. "But I suspect they're remnants of a sect that worshipped children as gods."

"Children are their gods?"

"Any kid's dream, and a terrible way to parent." Weiss shivered, thinking of her spoiled younger brother. "At least that's what it sounds like."

"So this Ironwood man is… chasing conspiracies?" Ren asked.

"It's not too out there compared to some of the stuff in this journal." Blake said, getting multiple raised eyebrows. "It mentions dead heroes fighting and making stuff out of nothing but magic, and I haven't even read a quarter of it yet."

"'All are with God until the seventh year.'" Ironwood quoted. "In other words, the children are not actually human until they reach the age of seven. Their existence is more akin to that of a holy spirit or a god. That's what their teachings say."

Jaune leaned over the divider between the driver's and passenger's seats. "Wait, if those kids are like gods, then could they have the power to make your dream a reality?"

"His dream… wait, is it?" Ren squinted, focussing on the alternate general's hand.

"The probability of that is fairly low. Even if such children actually do exist, I'm not so certain their power could grant what I want." Ironwood narrowed his eyes. "At any rate-"

Ironwood was cut off by Jaune loudly closing his book. "At any rate, it's not entirely impossible." Jaune looked up at Ironwood with an eager smile. "And those are the kind of odds a hero of justice gambles on!"

"Hero buddies!" Ruby cheered as she pumped her fist.

Blake shook her head. "While it's admirable, he's still too young to know what it means to be a hero." Her frown melted into a smile. "That doesn't stop it from being adorable."

Weiss was struggling not to try to hug the younger version of Jaune. Pyrrha had settled on hugging a pillow while taking photos of Little Jaune.

"How many times do I have to say it?" Ironwood didn't hesitate in his response. "That's not what I am."

"Yeah, yeah. I know you like to stay humble, Dad."

"Jaune's his kid?" Nora asked and turned towards Weiss.

Weiss shook her head. "No, he's decided to focus on his career, or at least that's what he's told the press." She raised an eyebrow. "Why are you asking me anyways? You three live with him."

"He doesn't talk much about his family." Pyrrha answered. "The only thing we know is that he has seven sisters."

"Hmmm…" Weiss turned back to the screen.

Ironwood was about to reply when he suddenly gasped and slammed the breaks.

After recovering from the whiplash, Jaune looked to his father for answers. "What's wrong, Dad?!"

Ironwood stared wide-eyed through the front window. "Do you see that?"

The camera cut to show a black vortex covering at least a quarter of a city, spinning with enough force to tear trees out of the ground and turn houses into rubble on contact. As the camera panned out, thousands of civilians could be seen trying to flee as the vortex expanded. The camera stopped once it reached the where Jaune and Ironwood are, standing besides their car looking at the disaster on top of a hill far out from the city.

"Shit." Yang stared wide eyed at the disaster shown.

"I thought this was going to be lighthearted with how it started. This..." Nora gestured at the screen, "is not lighthearted."

Jaune stared at the city in shock. "Wh-what is that…?"

"What is happening?" Ironwood was just as shocked as Jaune, but far more afraid of the disaster itself. "This anomaly… nothing like this should ever appear in our realm!"

"We're in trouble Mr. Ironwood!" Jaune said, looking intently at the darkness covering the city. "That black vortex… it's growing even bigger!"

Ironwood's grip on his walking stick tightened. (Ruby: "Huh, he has one like Ozpin.") "Get back to the car, Jaune. We're leaving!"

"You can't be serious Mr. Ironwood! The town will be wiped out!"

"We'll be lucky if that's the worst of it. It's impossible to predict how far that darkness is going to spread. It could soon reach us here. No! Even worse, it could envelop the entire country!"

Weiss raised an eyebrow. "While I agree it would be best to leave, isn't it a bit extreme to assume a whole country would be wiped out?"

"Not according to this thing." Blake held up the Beginner's Guide for the Novice Magus. "It mentions several disasters that can happen capable of destroying countries and sometimes the world, most of which are caused by some kind of cup."

"WHAT?!" Was the general response.

"So what?! We- huh?"

Jaune was interrupted as a bright light began shining at the edge of the vortex, like a single star in the night sky. The star of light expanded into several tendrils of light, wrapping around the darkness and growing in size. Once it had completely covered the darkness it shined even brighter turning everything white to the point where even shadows couldn't be seen. When the light faded neither the darkness nor the shining star could be seen anymore, leaving only a wasteland in the center of the city.

"Beautiful…" Pyrrha said, only being able to describe the event in one word.

Nobody disagreed with it.

The scene cuts to Jaune and Ironwood in the car again, going against traffic to try to get further into the city, only to be stopped by a police barricade.

Ironwood slammed his fist onto the driving wheel. "Damn, this is as far as we can get in the car."

"I'm going ahead on foot, Mr. Ironwood!" Jaune told him as he unbuckled his seatbelt and ran out the car door.

"Wait, Jaune!" Ironwood shouted as Jaune ducked under the police tape. "Jaune!"

"Where is he going anyways?" Yang asked.

Jaune ran as fast as he could. Weaving between refugees and around street corners until he reached a crumbling estate, then sprinting through the bamboo forest and past shrines until he reached his goal.

Panting, Jaune looked at his goal in awe. A crater the size of a small town lay in front of him, but more importantly…

The place where the star appeared.

"The place where the light came from…" Weiss looked down in thought. "Why would they go there?"

Jingle.

Jaune turned to face the unexpected noise, finding a Temari ball next to a girl in an old western style house, half of it removed where the crater now was. The girl turned to face him, revealing bright silver eyes and red tipped hair. The girl looked at Jaune with a neutral expression, almost distant, despite the disaster that had recently occurred.

"First baby Ruby, then young Jaune, and now baby-er Ruby?!" Yang once again ensnared Ruby into a death hug. "Too much cuteness!"

"Dang, I thought Ren could keep calm under pressure, but Ruby's sitting by a massive crater in a messed up house like nothing's wrong!" Nora said in awe. Ren felt challenged.

Jaune stared at the girl, not sure what to do for a moment. "Who are you?" he asked.

Suddenly, the roof started shaking and splintering, the support beam nearest Ruby snapping at its center. Jaune saw this and immediately ran to save her. "Look out!"

As he ran, he thought 'Please don't break yet!'

Ruby's eyes glowed, as if answering his plea, and the ceiling above her stopped mid-fall. Jaune grabbed her and immediately carried her out of the collapsing house. The instant they were outside, the building collapsed, the force knocking Jaune and Ruby to the ground.

"Did we just hear Jaune's thoughts?!" Nora yelled.

"Did Ruby read his mind?!" Yang yelled louder.

"How did the ceiling just stop?!" Weiss yelled the loudest. Physics doesn't just do that! Even her broken Semblance that can mess with time can't do that!

Jaune sat up and looked over at the now collapsed manor. 'Wh-what just happened?!'

"It hurts…" Ruby calmly stated as she started pushing herself up.

'Did she cause that?' Jaune thought looking down at her, trying to comprehend what just happened.

"This is the first time someone other than my mother has hugged me." Ruby told him in an almost robotic tone.

"She sounds… strange." Blake voiced her opinion.

Pyrrha nodded in agreement. "Indeed, I would go as far as to say emotionless."

Ruby and Yang, on the other hand, had a very different train of thought. 'Mom?! Where is she?! Will I get to see her?!'

Meanwhile, Ironwood, who appears to have just shown up, looked on at the situation with a steel-eyed stare.

The scene cuts to nighttime back at Ironwood's car near the edge of the city. Jaune laid a blanket over Ruby, who was asleep in the back seat. Jaune closed the car door and walked over to his father by the roadside.

Pyrrha smiled at the scene, thinking about how Jaune plays the part of team parent and tries to do little things to help, even if it was to make up for his lack of ability in other areas.

Ruby and Yang were disappointed that they didn't get to see their mother. They hid it well, but Weiss noticed their excitement die down despite the wholesome moment on the screen.

"This is the first time that someone other than my mother has hugged me." Ironwood repeated Ruby's words from earlier as he looked over the notebook Jaune was reading over their drive. "One in a line of children kept hidden and revered as holy by the Rose Clan. They erected a barrier in their own mansion, and this indicates that she was born and raised inside of it until now."

"What's the deal with all this holy children stuff anyways?" Jaune griped as he looked at Ruby through the car window. "It seems like abuse to lock up such a young girl."

"Isn't he a bit too young to call other people young?" Nora asked with a small giggle.

"Jaune. This might finally be what we've been looking for."

"Huh?"

"The holy children of the Rose Clan. They have the unique gift to make any person's wish come true without exception. By concealing them within a barrier that shuts out the thoughts of other people, the Rose Clan have raised the holy children by only their mother's hand until they became human after six years." Ironwood explained, his eyes darting back and forth rapidly as he read over his notes. "However, an unforeseen disaster occured today and caused that barrier to fall. The desperate pleas of the panicked townspeople swelled up and eventually reached Ruby."

Jaune looked at Ironwood wide-eyed. "And then… she granted them…"

"So that's what happened earlier!" Yang shouted. "She heard Jaune's thoughts and made them happen! That's cool! ...And kind of terrifying now that I think about it."

"Indeed." Ren nodded sagely like the quiet, wise man he is. "Especially because it's indiscriminate, granting anybody's wish if they so much as think it."

Blake was busy flipping through the journal frantically. 'Wish granting? Didn't it say somewhere that the war has something to do with the cup and getting the wish? And why does everything seem to revolve around that damn cup! Or grail. Whatever!'

"Our long journey is over now, Jaune." Ironwood stated as the rain began to fall. "I'm going to use this girl. Then from right here… we'll save all of humanity."

Then the screen went black, signifying the end of the viewing.

"That wasn't ominous looking at all." Nora said sarcastically. "Seriously, he manages to make doing a good thing sound like a war crime."

"He was talking about using Ruby like a tool!" Yang shouted in righteous anger.

"Is that the entire film?" Weiss asked. "For a movie, that was awfully short-"

Next part available in: 3 hours, 30 minutes.

"Oh.." Weiss whispered, having forgotten they would be watching it in multiple parts.

Pyrrha stood up and brushed off her skirt. "That should give us plenty of time for our afternoon classes. Once we finish up, do you want to meet back up for the next part?"

"Sounds good to me." Blake said, closing the book with a loud smack. "Hopefully we'll get more info next time. I've only been able to put together bits and pieces."

"At least we know who the first hand in the introduction was." Ren said as he tossed the snack wrappers into the garbage. "I wonder who the second one was?"

Everybody turned on their heels to face Ren. "What? Was it something I said?"

"You said you figured out who the hand shown at the beginning was." Blake said, irritated she hadn't figured it out herself. "Who?"

"Ironwood." Ren answered, getting several looks of surprise and understanding. "He's the only one shown to be old and large enough to have a hand that matches the one in the intro, and his goal is the same. He's the man with a dream of 'bringing salvation to all'."

"Makes sense. Now off to classes!" Nora cheered, grabbing Ren by his uniform jacket. "Tally-ho!" Sheshouted her battle cry, sprinting out the door with her partner in hand.

Pyrrha laughed behind her hand at her teammates' endearing antics. After calming herself, she walked up to Jaune's bedside. "I have to go now, Jaune." She whispered to him, brushing his hair out of his face. "Get well soon." She then sprinted off to join her team.

Ruby, not one to be left behind, especially when it comes to running, rallied her team. "Onward, Team RWBY! To class!" A second later, she was replaced with an outline of rose petals.

"Ruby! Wait!" Weiss called, trying not to get left behind.

Yang stood there smiling before turning to her partner. "So, you spent the whole movie trying to understand what's in that book. Any progress?"

"Not really." Blake replied with a sigh. "Most of it's just jargon. Hero this, circuit that, and weird mentions of the soul that I can only vaguely connect to Aura. I do have one thing that I understood though."

Yang raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"This wish granting thing the Ruby in the movie had, it's either involved with or comes from something that wars are frequently fought over and tends to cause or be a part of major events. It said it was called the Holy Grail."

"Hmmm…" Yang hummed in thought. "Doesn't ring a bell... but it sounds like it means we'll get to see some action soon! Besides, maybe you'll understand it better once you've read more! We both know it's what you'll be doing in Port's class later anyways."

Blake smirked. "As if there was anything else to do. Anyways, we should catch up before we're late."

"Yep!" Yang grinned as they sprinted out the door and out of the medical ward, both completely unaware that the cyan lines across Jaune's body dimmed slightly and his expression became less pained. He began to tussle and roll in his sleep-like state as he dreamed a strange yet familiar dream. A dream of a hero, of justice, of living up to a father, and...

Of a Hill of Swords.

A/N: Hello again! So, I have two questions for the upcoming chapters:

Who should play the part of Sakura?

Keep in mind that this reaction fic will only cover Oath Under Snow, and it will not affect any pairings for certain, assuming I even choose to do that. I'm personally thinking Pyrrha, with a maybe on Velvet. If you have someone else in mind, please say why since it would make it easier to write and make them a part of the viewing cast. Speaking of...

Who else should join the cast?

Characters that come up in the story are pretty likely to join the viewing cast unless they're only shown for a couple of seconds or are evil. It's kind of hard to justify bringing baddies into a Beacon nurse/hospital room.

That's all, and thank you for reading!
