Chapter 12
Meeting in Secrete
Tracker couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Was it really her?" he wondered. "Xochi?" he finally asked.
The hairless nodded.
"Wha-what-why?" he asked.
"I just couldn't bear the thought of not being able to see you," she replied.
"What do you mean?" he asked in response.
"With our owners fighting, they probably won't be spending much if any time around each other, and that will make it harder for us to see each other," explained the xolo
"Oh," realized the Chihuahua. "But didn't Maria let you come out here?"
Xochi shook her head. "I snuck out," she explained.
"But aren't you scared of getting in trouble?" he asked.
"A little, but I don't care about getting punished if it means I get to spend time with you," she informed.
Tracker smiled, touched by her words. "So, are we going to meet like this every night?" he asked.
"Every other night," she corrected, if we did this every night, our owners might catch on to our absence, or notice the fatigue from loss of sleep."
Tracker nodded in agreement. The two pups then smiled, pressed their muzzles together, and kissed.
