Chapter 11: The Van Heist
Johnny, Terry, Clay, Willie, and Clef were on their bikes, they were armed and ready for the heist. The van rolled up in front of them going through Alderney, on route to the bank in Algonquin. "You ready boys?" Niko asked them. "Ready boss." Clef replied. "Let's go!" Johnny shouted. The gang rode up to the van, Johnny shot out the back tire on the driver's side, bringing the van to a stop. Terry and Clay rode to the front of the van and got off their bikes, Willie and Clef along with Johnny surrounded the van. Johnny aimed his sawed off shotgun at the guards. "Get out of the fucking van right now!" Johnny screamed. The guards did just that, they got out and Terry tied them up. Clay grabbed the keys off one of them and headed to the back, the gang loaded up the cash. "Police are already on the way, you won't get far with that loot." One guard told Johnny. "Oh yeah?" Johnny asked in response.
The bikers cleaned the van out, they had loaded it into an unmarked black van which Terry drove off in. Johnny, Clay, Willie, and Clef rode off away from the scene. They heard police sirens, and Johnny turned around. The ACPD were on their tail, he sped up with his gang trying to outrun the police. "Fuck, there has to be at least ten cars!" Clef exclaimed. "I got an idea. I'll run a diversion and split off, you two continue to make a run for it." Johnny told them. "Are you sure, brother?" Willie asked Johnny. "No, but we got no other choice. See you soon." Johnny replied before slowing down. Johnny took his pistol and shot at one of the police cars, he then turned down a street completely opposite of where his brothers were riding. Johnny lead the police on a three mile chase, they finally got him in a roadblock where he was completely surrounded. Johnny stopped his bike as they all surrounded him, they aimed their firearms at Johnny. "Hands up! You're completely surrounded!" A cop said. Johnny gave himself up and was taken in.
Johnny sat in a small room, it had a table and two chairs adjacent from each other. A man walked in the room wearing a three piece suit and carried a briefcase. "I'm Dominick Goldwater, I'm your PD." The lawyer told Johnny before sitting down. "Look, I'm a struggling lawyer. I know you don't have a chance in hell of going free. So I'm gonna refer you to an attorney. Her name is Kiki, here's her card." Dominick told Johnny before giving him a business card. "You get one phone call, I suggest you use it on her." Dominick told Johnny. Dominick stood up and walked out, a detective walked in and sat down. "You've saw your attorney, now I got you on armed robbery of federal funds, numerous murder charges, a break in of a state prison, and millions of dollars worth of property damage. Are you willing to confess and get a deal?" The detective asked Johnny. Johnny looked at the card. "I want my phonecall." Johnny told the detective.
Kiki sat in her office, she was typing out an email to the mayor over the protests in Bohan. Her phone rang and she answered it. "Kiki Jenkins, attorney at law." She spoke into the phone as she answered it. "Hey, my name is Johnny Klebitz. I am being detained in Alderney, and I need a lawyer." Johnny replied. Kiki grabbed a pen and piece of paper, she started writing. "Okay, where are you at?" She asked Johnny. "Alderney Police headquarters. Okay, I'm on my way." Kiki told Johnny. Kiki hung up the phone and got her jacket. She left the building and got into her car, Kiki drove down the streets of Algonquin towards Alderney. Her cell phone rang and she answered it. "Hello?" She asked into the phone. "Hey, Kiki. It's Niko. After work do you want to come to the bar?" Niko asked Kiki. "Okay, but first I got to meet a client in Alderney. Can you believe it Niko? My first criminal case since I started my own practice!" Kiki exclaimed. "That's great. Well, I'll leave you to it beautiful." Niko told her. "Okay, love you." Kiki replied before hanging up the phone.
Johnny sat in the room, he was cuffed to the chair. The door opened and Kiki walked in, Johnny noticed her beauty and figure. "Are you my lawyer?" Johnny asked her. "Yes, I assume you're Mr. Klebitz?" Kiki asked in response. "Yeah, so how am I getting out of here?" He asked her. "Well, the police chief posted a $50,000 bond. I paid it, so after our consultation you are free to go. But you need to meet with me tomorrow at my office to discuss your arraignment." Kiki explained. "The evidence against me is strong, how will I get out of this?" Johnny asked her. "We play victim. Poor man from Alderney, turned to a life of crime by the circumstances he endured in his youth. I make the system responsible." Kiki explained. "A lot of men in prison played the same hand, we may need a different approach." Johnny replied. Kiki noticed his masculinity and she felt a slight attraction towards her client, she felt guilty over it due to Niko. "Well, we'll discuss more tomorrow. Here is my personal number if you have any questions." Kiki told Johnny. She handed him a piece of paper with her number on it, she grabbed her bag and walked out of the room.
