"You are saying you will not hold a sign?" Mason asks.

"Isn't being there enough?" He argues.

"OK, but I am putting your name on the sign. I am signing love Theo." Mason smirks.

"Please don't." Theo sneers.

"Dear, are you almost ready? You are going to be late!" Jenna calls to Liam.

Theo hears a loud bang and Liam stumbles down the stairs. His shirt is half off and his sweatpants are on the wrong way. He looks out of breath and sleepy. Nolan looks at Corey and shake his head. Liam scrambles around the kitchen pouring himself orange juice. Dr. Geyer hands him a banana and just like that, they are shoved out the door. Liam falls asleep in the car on the way there. His head keeps tipping to the side and his juice almost pours on the truck floor, much to Theo's horror.

"Did he not sleep last night?" Corey asks.

"We did, but we got up early to talk about some stuff." He explains.

"WE?" Mason asks.

"What were YOU talking about?" Corey asks.

"You are really annoying." Theo grumbles.

"That is the goal." Mason teases.

Theo watches Liam in the passenger seat. His eyes are closed, and he looks peaceful. His head turned slightly to the side, while it rests on the seat. His shirt still half off and the banana in his hand. Liam is a mess. They did talk, or really Liam talked mostly. He made a point to talk to Theo about what he read. He wanted to go over everything that was written in there and talk it out. Liam said something about making sure Theo does not still feel that way. It is completely overbearing, but he enjoyed it.

He gets to the school and parks the truck. Mason shakes Liam and he stretches his arms across his head. He looks over at Theo and smiles. Theo smiles back. He feels the smile in his soul this time. Liam seems to bring that out of him. Liam stares at him for a few moments and he hands Theo his orange juice. He gives him a pointed look. Liam sometimes talks to him without saying anything. His eyes always give everything away that he is thinking. His blue eyes cannot hide anything. Or at least not from Theo.
Theo takes the orange juice from him and he watches while Liam runs his hand over his wrist. Theo shivers and looks up at Liam.

"Not to break this up, but we need to get ready." Nolan points out.

Theo shakes his head and Mason pulls him over to the lacrosse field. Mason has to be the first person there of course and sits them in the front row. He glares at the sign Mason is holding. It has the team's name on it and the number one. It also is signed love Theo. Mason turns to him and winks.

The lacrosse game seems to go well. Liam is not trying to kill people this time and his anger seems to stay under control. Nolan takes a hard hit, but he gets back up again quickly. A few girls smile at Theo when they read Mason's sign. He will be getting him back for this.

"Hey, look it is Matt. Did he ever apologize?" Mason asks.

Theo looks over and sees Matt a few rows away from them. He looks angry and very serious. He has not spoken to him since the incident in the woods. He is not mad, but he does not really know what to say to him. Matt acted really weird after anyway. He avoided them all in the halls and barely talks to any of them. He cannot blame him though. Liam almost tore people's heads off that day. It would rattle anyone.

"No. He probably was embarrassed though." Theo says.

"I still would apologize for almost killing someone, but maybe that is just me." Mason says dryly.

"Not a fan. Huh? He asks.

"He almost killed one of my best friends. I take that pretty personally." Mason complains.

Theo stares at him. Best friend? What an odd thing to say. He was not aware Mason even considered him a friend. He looks up to see the team talking to the coach during a time out. The coach is throwing his hands up and yelling about teamwork. He gets a weird feeling. He looks around. Theo starts to feel uneasy. He looks around again, but everything seems fine. His skin starts to crawl, and he shivers. A feeling of dread starts to form in his stomach. He does not know why. He feels off. He tries to focus on the game, but he fidgets uneasily in his seat.

Mason looks over at him and frowns.

"You okay?" Mason asks.

"I don't know. I feel like something is off?" Theo questions.

"Maybe it is because it is the last day that they have a game. You might miss this and us." Mason smiles.

Theo rolls his eyes, but he cannot shake the feeling of something being wrong. He watches the crowd trying to figure out what is going on. His eyes fall on Matt. He is looking back at him, but his eyes keep moving back and forth to watch the crowd. He listens for his heartbeat and hears his heart pounding erratically. His eyes keep going back and forth between the team and the crowd, while his heart pounds. Theo has always been able to tell when people are nervous or lying, and Matt is nervous. Matt looks over at him again and narrows his eyes.

Theo looks back over at the team and sees some unfamiliar water bottles that the team is drinking from. They all look the same, but he does not recognize them. Did they have a sponsor on their last game? He watches the green water bottles be passed around between the team members.

"Mason?" Theo asks.

"Yeah." Mason says.

"Where did those water bottles come from?" He asks.

"Oh, I don't know. I just noticed them." Mason shrugs.

Theo frowns. He looks over at Matt again and sees him watching the team. He watches while they drink from their water bottles. Corey looks over at him, holding the water bottle to his lips and frowns. Corey looks back at him and raises his eyebrows. He is the only one not drinking from it.

Theo feels like Stiles. Paranoid and crazy. Is this how he felt all of the time? He looks down at his hands and sees they are shaking slightly. He hears a thud, and he looks up. Laying on the field is Liam. He is coughing and gagging. Theo's mind goes blank and he feels Mason shaking him. He is yelling something to him, but he cannot make out what he is saying. Theo feels his eyes shine yellow and he stands. An arm pulls him towards the parking lot, and he growls as he searches for the person responsible.

"THEO." Mason cries.

He refocuses and sees Corey and Nolan at the truck. Their eyes are wide, and he hears their heartbeats pound. He hears an ambulance in the distance, and he hears that nervous heartbeat again. He growls and looks around.

"We need to get him to Deaton's. Their trying to take him to the hospital, but the water had wolfsbane in it." Corey says.

"Thewaterbottleisawit." Nolan yells.

"Nolan, I can't understand what you are saying. Slow down." Mason says.

Nolan takes a deep breath.

"I said the water seemed off anyway." Nolan says.

"Where did you get them?" Mason asks.

"It was a donation for our last game." Corey says.

"Ok, where is Liam?" Mason asks panicked.

"He is in the truck. I told the coach that we needed to take him ourselves. He seems to know something is different about this town, so he let me drag him out of there." Corey explains.

"You guys go." Theo says quietly.

"Theo, no. What are you going to do? You are coming with us. I don't like driving trucks anyway." Mason says.

"I will send Stiles after Matt." Corey says.

"Stiles?" Theo sneers.

"I think right now it is better that you stay with Liam." Mason points out.

Theo gets in the truck and looks in the back. Liam's breathing is shallow, and he has coughed up a yellow liquid all over the truck floor. Mason and Nolan sit in the backseat with him, trying to get him to cough up anything he can. Theo starts to panic. He does not really know what Deaton is going to do, but this is uncharted territory. He did not even think wolfsbane caused this reaction? Maybe it is a different strain.

He drives as fast as he can to the clinic while he hears Liam gagging in the backseat. His heart clenches every time Liam makes a noise. He grips the steering wheel and tries to keep his emotions under control. This is why he hates emotions. He cannot even approach this situation from a calm perspective. He growls and tries to calm his heart. It feels like it is going to fall out of his chest.

"T…." Liam coughs.

"Shut up Little Alpha." Theo says.

He finally makes it to the clinic. The truck screeches to a stop and he races around to the door. Theo tries to open it but it is locked. He does not really have time to think about it and he rips the door off the hinges. He sees Deaton appear a few moments later and he is frowning.

"Liam….I….door…sorry…"He stumbles over his words and tries to figure out what he is trying to say.

Corey and Nolan lead Liam inside. Deaton sets him up on the table and then Theo is shoved out of the room. He stands there in shock with Mason. How can they expect him to wait outside a room? He paces back and forth and tries to see what is going on. Corey and Nolan are blocking everything, but he stills hears Liam coughing.

"Hey, it is going to be okay." Mason says, touching his shoulder.

"I…never…..I didn't…." He says.

"It doesn't matter. We are here now. You can't do anything by being in there and freaking out." Mason says.

Theo sits down in the chair and his blood boils. He is going to find Matt and rips his fingers off. Scott probably would not approve of that, but it will make him feel better in the moment. He rocks back and forth nervously. At some point Scott and Stiles show up. He has no idea how long it has been, but it has to be hours. All he hears is Liam gagging and his shallow heartbeat.

Scott tries to talk to him, but he cannot hear anything right now. He can only hear and feel Liam. He promised himself he would not let anything happen to him when he brought Theo back from hell. He never told Liam that, but he silently promised himself that he would make sure he was always okay. He saved him from hell and Theo feels indebted to him forever. He failed on that promise.

"Hey, Theo. How about you go home for a little while. It has been hours." Scott says gently.

"No one is telling me anything." Theo growls.

"So, it is yellow wolfsbane. A different strain and can be fatal. Deaton managed to get it out of his system, but we are not sure the amount of damage it might have done to his internal organs. He just needs time to see if his wolf will fight it off and heal. We told you, but you were pretty out of it." Scott explains.

"I think he is my anchor." He admits.

"I know and you are his." Scott says.

"Then why can't I see him?" He asks.

"We thought you might get upset." Scott says.

"I am not a 2-year-old." Theo frowns.

"I know but Deaton told me about Liam's conversation with him." Scott says.

"So?" He asks.

"So, sometimes it can cause a lot of anger in your wolf if you see him that way." Scott points out.

"I am not like you guys." Theo points out.

"Maybe not completely, but your more like us than you think." Scott smiles.

Theo refuses to go home that night. He waits at the clinic and does not sleep. Liam is the only thing he ever had that he cares about losing. He does not know what he would do if he lost him. It makes his chest ache to even think about it. Finally, Deaton walks over to him.

"He is fully awake, and he is going to be okay." Deaton says.

"Really?" Theo asks, trying to keep the emotion out of his voice, but fails miserably.

"Really. Do you want to take him home?" Deaton asks.

Theo nods and watches while Scott and Corey help him off the table. They lead him out into the truck and lay him down in the back. Mason sighs in relief and smiles at his best friend. Theo feels relieved too, but he also feels something else. He just cannot place what it is.

"Ok, I am going to check on Stiles. He went with Malia to find that guy." Scott says.

He pats Theo on the shoulder and walks over to his own car.

Theo keeps looking back in his rearview mirror. He wants to make sure Liam is still breathing. He is of course, but he still checks on him. He pulls up to the Hewitt household.

"Are you sure you don't want us at the house with you?" Mason asks.

He nods. Mason nods back and gets out of the truck with Corey. Nolan hangs back but is given a death glare by Corey. Nolan slides out of the truck and shuts the door.

"Call us?" Mason asks.

"Ok." Theo says.

Theo drives them back to the Geyer residence and the door flies open. Jenna runs out Dr. Geyer helps Liam up to his room. They hug him and tell him about how worried they were, but Deaton told them to wait. Theo stands at the end of the stairs watching them. He tries to ignore the nagging feeling of wanting to be everywhere Liam is. He knows he is going to be okay, but he still wants to keep an eye on him.

Jenna walks down the stairs.

"You can go up and see him if you want." She says.

He walks up the stairs slowly and opens the door to Liam's room. Dr. Geyer is talking to him softly about not taking things from strangers. Liam is frowning at him and arguing that it was not like that. He smiles and watches them in the doorway. Liam is even stubborn with his parents. He will probably always be like that.

Dr. Geyer stands up and walks past him. He smiles at him on his way out.

"Hi sunshine." Liam smirks at him.

Theo frowns. He is not very amused by this situation at all and does not know why Liam is. Liam's face softens and he motions for him to come sit. Theo sits down on the bed next to him. He is not sure of what to say.

"So, that was a great last game." Liam says.

"I thought…it is not a joke. I thought I might lose you." He says.

"I know and I was pretty freaked out while it was happening. However, you cannot ever lose me. I think you might be stuck with me. I am sorry I scared you though and I am glad you did not go hunt Matt down. I think the old Theo would have." Liam smiles at him.

"I wanted to, but I didn't want to be away from you." Theo admits.

"Aww. Are you getting soft on me?" Liam teases him.

"Apparently. I allowed Mason to hold up a sign that read love Theo." He says.

Liam chuckles softly. He reaches out and takes his hand. His fingers run over Theo's knuckles and he smiles. Tingles make their way along Theo's skin and his chest tightens at Liam's smile.

"I am thinking of not going to the college I originally picked." Liam says.

"Why? That is a good lacrosse program." He points out.

"I know, but my career is not going to be lacrosse and maybe I don't want to lose you either." Liam says softly.

"You are not losing me Little Wolf. I am always here. I think my lack of sleep last night proves that." He says.

"Yes, but I love you." Liam says.

It is said softly and differently this time. Last time Liam yelled at him and they were arguing about it. This time seems more personal and with more emotion. He is not sure if he is ready for all that, but today showed him that he cannot ever lose Little Wolf. It would hurt too much, and he cannot bare to go through life without him. He is willing to admit that now. He is also willing to admit that Liam is his anchor and if that is the case, then he really should not be away from him anyway.

"I think I like you a lot." Theo says.

Liam rolls his eyes but smiles at him. He doesn't press him to say more. He moves over and opens the covers to welcome Theo. Theo slides in next to him. Liam touches the bite mark on his neck. He runs his hands over it and Theo shivers at the contact.

"What are you doing?" Theo asks.

"Just studying you." Liam says.

"Why?" he asks.

"Because you're my favorite person too, but don't tell Mason." Liam says.

Theo shakes his head.

"Also, we are going to visit your dad tomorrow. NO arguments." Liam says.

Theo glares at him and Liam kisses his cheek. It is quick and soft. It makes Theo's heart melt, and he doesn't argue this time. He snuggles next to Liam.

"I think you owe Deaton a new door." Liam whispers.

"Stiles never paid him for those windows." Theo argues.

"Goodnight my Theo." Liam says.
