"My god," Teela whispered as she stood upon the field which stretched towards the old castle which was the heart of their world. Castle Greyscale.

Around the castle were swarms upon swarms of enemies. So many that it looked like swarms of bugs which made it impossible to see the ground.

Duncan hissed as his hand clinched around his war ax. "So that's why. STUPID! I should have seen it."

"What?" Teela asked.

"Don't you see?" Duncan asked. "All those monsters who kept appearing recently. At the outskirts of our land. They were a distraction! To keep our eyes away from this!"

"But where do they all come from?!" Teela asked as she turned to the castle and her eyes widened as a woman floated in the air.

A long dress flowing after her as she raised her arms and around her portals opened to make demons pouring through.

"Evil-Lyn." Teela breathed.

"New spell of hers," Duncan commented. "So they can summon an army from hell. Or wherever those things are all coming from."

"Well," Teela smirked. "Lucky for us we got something better than an army."

Duncan smirked as well and right on time a brave warrior riding an amazing beast jumped down and landed in front of them.

"He-Man. Right on time. Just like always." Teela smirked.

He-Man bowed his head. "Captain Teela."

Teela halted then she grinned. Clearly taken with the acknowledgment.

"What is the plan?" He-Man finally asked.

"Under no circumstances can Greyskull fall!" Teela exclaimed. "We will fight to our last breath rather than allow Skeletor to take the heart and life force of our world! It seems like Evil-Lyn is the one able to summon an army. Take her down! She's the queen of the chessboard."

"And Skeletor the king." He-Man nodded as he rested his sword on his shoulder. "He goes and the fight is over."

Teela nodded then turned to Duncan.

Duncan smirked. "You are the captain now not me. You don't need my permission," he stated. "Stand strong Teela and give the order!"

Teela nodded determinedly as she stepped forward. She grabbed her own sword and held it tight then she raised it and she shouted. "CHAAAAAAARGE!"

And everyone followed in the roar as well. Including He-Man who had his own sword risen and roared at the top of his lungs.

And all the warriors that the palace of Eternia had to offer. With its new Captain leading their way running alongside He-Man himself. Ran down the hills to meet the swarms of enemies.

No one was going to back down and they didn't!

They clashed with their enemies in a big roar.

Guns were fired. Soldiers were flying on their jets shooting down. Teela swung her sword slaying enemy after enemy.

And all for one single purpose! To reach Castle Greyskull and Evil-Lyn!

He-Man crushed his hands into the ground and send out a shock wave pushing enemies back while Teela kept running.

Finally, they were at the entrance only for enemies to have them surrounded and He-Man gasped as he looked around. "Skeletor isn't here. He must be inside already."

Teela swallowed. But then nodded determinedly.

He-Man frowned. "Go inside. Go after Skeletor! I'll hold back this army!"

Teela smirked. "The one-man army going against an actual army alone," she stated then nodded. "I'll be as quick as I can!"

He-Man smirked. "No rush. It's just an army," he commented and Teela smirked amused before finally she turned and ran inside only to be met by quite a sight.

The sorceress. Doing her best to keep up her force field to keep herself safe. And Trap Jaw. A man who had allowed himself to become more machine than man hammering at her force field.

That wasn't all though. In the floor, there was something there hadn't been there before. A staircase going down… Deep down. To what Teela could only assume would be towards the heart of Eternia.

Which could only mean one thing…. Skeletor was already on his way down there. Teela hissed as the force field around the sorceress started to crack and then Teela attacked.

"GET AWAY!" Teela shouted kicking Lock Jaw away.

Only for the cyborg man to retaliate. Lifting an arm that turned to a blaster shooting at Teela. Quickly Teela managed to dodge and was just about to return the attack as a shot came from the side and send Teela to the floor.

Groaning did Teela glance up to see… Evil-Lyn.

Evil-Lyn smirked as she lifted her staff. "I think He-Man has enough playthings to play with outside for now. Don't you?" she asked. "It's more important that Skeletor finally gets to fulfill his glorious purpose and at last! Eternia will be ours."

And Teela roared as she jumped forward. Dodging every magic attack before she swung her sword and managed to break Evil-Lyns staff before she kicked the sorcerers back.

However, that took the attention of Lock-Jaw who came from behind with his blaster.

Or he would have if not for a trollan appearing raising a shield blocking the blast.

"ORKO!" Teela shouted relieved and next came Duncan who gasped as he looked at the sorcerers still inside of her force field.

"Are you all right?" Duncan asked concerned.

"I'm fine." The sorcerers said. "How-ever the heart of Eternia. It's not safe! Skeletor must not get to it!"

Duncan hissed then looked up. "Teela. Go!" he said. "We'll hold back the scum left up here. Catch up with Skeletor!"

Teela hesitated but finally nodded.

"Don't worry!" Orko exclaimed as he raised his hands filled with shining magic. "We have it handled."

"I know you do." Teela smiled. "You always have." and then finally she turned and hurried down the stairs to whatever was hidden beneath the great castle Greyskull.

And what Teela saw… Was what looked like an amazing garden. Crystals seemed to be glowing on their own and Teela gasped as she descended the stairs looking around.. Skeletor. Where?

Then finally the all too familiar raspy voice came. "You're not the champion!"

Teela gasped as she turned to see the grinning skull right in front of her.

"I need the champion!" Skeletor roared as he kicked Teela and send her falling down until she reached the grass for below.

Teela groaned as she rolled around and looked up. Just as Skeletor jumped down to stand above her. "Only the champion will do."

"You want the champion?" Came the deep voice from above and Teela looked up to see him. The blond muscle-bound hero. "HERE I AM!" he shouted as He-man just skipped the stairs and jumped down to land between Skeletor and Teela with a raised sword. "Now step away from the heart of Eternia!"

"The heart of.." Teela asked then turned her head to look behind herself.

"Yes, my dear. All the magic in all of Eternia. It comes from here." Skeletor smirked amused. "Like a spring. Offering this world life. And now it's going to be mine."

"In your dreams," He-Man stated. "You came this far but no further! This ends now!"

"Oh does it?" Skeletor asked.

"YES!" He-Man shouted and charged forward with his sword and Skeletor held up his cane. Blocking He-Mans great sword.

Skeletor frowned. "The strength of gods. At your fingertips," he commented. "A man like you could rule the world. But all you ever do is playing catch up to me? Doesn't it get tiring?"

"I have no desire to rule the world," He-Man replied. "I already have all the power I need."

"Of course you do." Skeletor snorted. "You have the strength of a hundred warriors combined," he stated. "How easy it must be. Just being granted that power by Eternia."

"He's worthy of it!" Teela stated as she stood up. "Again and again he has proven it! With his bravery and loyalty. He has the heart of a Champion! And that is why he is worthy of this power while you Skeletor!" she pointed her sword at Skeletor. "Never will be."

Skeletor lowered his head. His hollow eyes seemed to almost glare at them and then he yelled as he attacked.

They were though. Two against one. And while Skeletor had both magic and strength. He-Man and Teela were able to work as perfect extensions of each other.

And finally, Skeletor was backed into the pedestal. Both He-Man and Teela pointing their swords at his chest while Skeletor could not back any further away.

"It's over Skeletor," Teela said. "Surrender."

Skeletor bowed his head. Then his grinning skull suddenly seemed to grin even more than usual. He reached out and plainly grabbed the blade of He-Mans sword pointed towards him.

The surprise was so strong that for a moment He-Man blinked in surprise and that was enough.

"All I needed was this," Skeletor stated and then plunged He-Mans sword into himself and through himself so it entered the pedestal behind him.

In deep shock, He-Man did the only thing he could think of. Pulled the sword back out so it was now covered in blood. But it was too late. The pilar behind him was opening up and Skeletor grinned as he turned. Blood still pouring out of his open wound.

"Thank you for lending me your key." Skeletor grinned and then coughed. Blood streaming out of his mouth.

"Ske-Skeletor." He-Man gasped. "You… You're dying! Why?"

"Fool. With the heart of Eternia. Healing myself is merely childs play!" Skeletor stated as finally the pilar had opened and revealed a beautiful shining orb which Skeletor turned towards. It's magic shining towards him. "Yes… All the magic it contains. It's mine!" he stated reaching for it only for Teela to tackle Skeletor and they both landed on the ground.

"HE-MAN!" Teela shouted. "Under no circumstances can he get the heart!"

"Yes!" He-Man cleared out of his shock as he came running just as Skeletor kicked Teela away.

"NO! It's mine! I will not die now!" Skeletor roared as he turned back towards the heart and He-Man swung his sword Skeletor barely managed to dodge.

Then in a desperate attempt. Skeletor reached out to his staff, he slung it down with all his power, and then… It hit the orb. And then there was an explosion. Sending Skeletor hurling back and he slung towards the wall.

Teela and He-Man gasped and then they turned to the heart of Eternia where a crack had formed.

"Oh no.." He-Man gasped.

"Skeletor… What have you done?" Teela asked in horror as the cracks continued.

"He destroyed it…" A gentle female voice sounded and both looked up to see the sorcerers come floating down. Man-At-Arms and Orka following as quickly as they could.

"Wha-What?!" Orko exclaimed. "The heart of Eternia? The source of all magic?! But how."

The Sorcerers halted. "The orb that contains the magic. It is going to shatter in seconds."

"And then what will happen?" Duncan asked horrified.

"A blast… Which will consume our world and the worlds beyond it. All will perish. All will die." The sorcerers gasped.

"No." Teela gasped. "What can we do? Something has to be done!"

"What if…" He-Man hesitated. "My sword is a conduit. It pours the power of this orb… Into me. Giving me the strength of He-Man. But what if I did the reverse? Use myself and the sword as a conduit to lead the energy elsewhere?"

There was quiet.

"But… What would that mean for you?" Orko asked.

"You will be gambling your life." The sorcerers said. "I don't even know what could happen."

He-Man smirked. "If I don't do it I'll die anyway," he stated. "Beside. I am the Champion of Eternia. It is my honor and duty to put my life on the line for this land and the people who live in it."

Teela swallowed. Water forming in her eyes. "He-Man…"

He-Man turned towards her. Regret in her eyes. "There's so much I wanted to tell you," he said. "Teela… I'm sorry."

"For what? I don't understand." Teela gasped.

He-Man smiled sadly. "I suppose you will," he said and then he stepped forward just as the orb cracked even more and the first beam of light came.

He-Man inhaled deeply then glanced over his shoulder as he smiled. "You know. It was always my honor that I got to know all of you. And got to call you my friends." he said and then he raised his sword just as the orb shattered for good and the blast came but He-Man. He directed it towards himself and then…

Teela could see it. All of that power. The raw power of a whole world flowed into He-Man… But it was too much. Far too much and he screamed in pain.

"HE-MAN!" Teela screamed.

"It's not all there yet. I must take it all!" He-Man hissed. Clearly in pain. He was crying something Teela had never seen before. Everything went bright white and then.

And then… For a moment. As everything was bright. He-man… Was holding the power of the entire universe… All of it. His sword was raised and then he screamed as it released. Like a massive thunderstrike.

It was sent upwards. Towards space itself. And then… The sword shattered like it was nothing but glass. The figure of He-Man was suddenly small and lanky and he fell down on the ground.

Teela's eyes widened as she recognized the young blond in an instant. How couldn't she? She had seen him every day of her life. "Adam?" she asked.

Weakly the young man turned his head. To reveal a face that looked sick and bruised. "See… I told you you would see me here."

"No." Teela covered her mouth.

"Sorry…" Adam whispered. "Wanted…. To tell…" and then his eyes fell shut.

"Adam?" Teela fell to her knees grabbing the body. "Adam… Adam wake up. Please!" she cried. Tears streaming down her face. "You're my best friend! You were always there! Don't leave me!"

But the boy didn't reply. It was quite the scene... Adam was beaten and unmoving on the floor. Skeletor equally so slumped against the wall. But to Teela. Only the prince mattered.

"Adam…" Teela tried again. "ADAAAAAM!"
