I do not own Genshin Impact or the Fate franchise.

Hello again everyone, before the story start's I shall answer the questions but first I have some explaining to do. First of all, the reason I didn't upload anything for a while is because I essentially had to re-do my plans for this story as I learned more about Genshin Impact. You would think that the game not being done yet would leave me with more room to do what I want for a crossover but it's sadly the opposite. This is because the whole point of Genshin impact is essentially to solve the mystery of the world so everywhere you look there is some new hint or mystery to solve.

This gets even more complicated because I found myself eventually doing research on Honkai Impact which just made me have to restart my plans again for a second time. As a result, this story has been changed from a crossover to a fusion fic. So, if things don't line up perfectly it's because of me having to tweak a few things for the story, but I'll try to keep them to a minimum. Along with this one or two Honaki characters will be making an appearance in this story so beware.

Chapter length: I have gotten allot of people saying that the chapters are too small so going forward I'll aim for one 3000-word chapter every week. I am a slow writer so apologies.

Nifahs: Zhongli is in and will wear his regular outfit for battle but when he goes full god mode and releases his full power, he will be in Archon robes (insert rock hard abs pun/joke here).

Guest: Thank you for the correction, I tend to make that mistake often.

Drcaus: Yes, Waver will see Zhongli's memories, although some will be hidden due to the nature of this story and the mystery of Teyvat as a world.

Xian0451: - how is it possible to summon Zhongli using Gnosis a divine artifact, as a connection: Waver didn't use a gnosis to summon Zhongli, how our Geo god was summoned is a mystery to both Zhongli and Waver (It wasn't Angra Mainyu or Zelretch)

-How would Waver even support this class, considering the fact that he is not a psudeo-servant but rather the entity itself. Wouldn't he have been drained of mana by now: Waver isn't really supporting with his mana. Zhongli is entirely self-sufficient for a multitude of reasons. First his Gnosis is still connected to Celestia and second, I'm interpreting Teyvat to be a completely different world from Earth. It's not just another timeline/Dimension/ or Lostbelt within Gaia's supreme reality marble but a separate world with its own magical rules and laws.

To clear up on the cosmologies, on Spacebattles I posted images on how I'm interpreting the Nasuverse cosmology and that for Genshin Impact I will be using the Teyvat dome model as opposed to the hallow world. Just google Spacebattles geo and gems and the images are in the same informational tab.

English is not my strength so apologies for any grammar errors.

I hope you enjoy!

Waver tapped his foot up and down with a hint of nervousness as he waited for the phone to answer, his eyes occasionally darting over to the side to see if anyone was there. Ok, so maybe he should have let Zhongli come with him as the more he thought about a servant or master coming the more his previous confidence eroded.

The atmosphere of the Fuyuki night didn't help matters what with the clouds blocking out every star in the sky along with the moon leaving the city in total darkness save of the artificial kind.

Why was he nervous no other master had summoned a servant yet! He'd made sure of that by coming to Fuyuki early.

There was nothing to worry about, he even had light from the darkness thanks to the streetlamp he was under… If only it would stop flickering!

"Come on, come on, come on…" He continuously mumbled until finally.

"Hello who this?" Replied a tired voice on the other end.

"Melvin It's me! I…" Waver said only to be interrupted with.

"Waver! I'm so glad you called. I was actually going to try and get in touch with you, you won't believe what's happening on the Clock Tower." Melvin's voice had gone from slow to energetic in an instant as he replied to Waver, although the hint of tiredness from earlier was still easily discernible.

"Really? Sounds exciting." Waver said as his tapping continued to speed up. He really just wanted to get some help answering the questions he had in regard to Zhongli, "I'd love to hear about it but first I need to ask you somethings."

"No can do, this place is a mess. All the major lords have gotten together and even the students are being forced to help their superiors with any projects if needed. I haven't gotten any sleep at all!" Melvin whined as blood unknowingly trickled down the side of his lip.

"Ok that sounds bad." Admitted Waver. Not the Melvin not sleeping bit (although he could relate to that), the Clock Tower bit, "What's exactly going on?"

"You won't believe it but somehow… An actual god has been brought into the age of man!" Shouted Melvin as a gush of blood came out of his mouth and onto the Clock Towers campus floor, making every student's in sight run away is fright and discussed.

"Ugh." Waver sputtered as his mouth hung open and eyebrow twitched like a glitching computer. Both from the revelation that every mage in the world was aware of him summoning Morax and the sound of Melvin throwing up his liquid innards.

In later hindsight it was a miracle that both hadn't happened earlier.

"Waver?" Melvin asked, as he heard nothing from his friend's end. The silence though did give him time to wipe the blood from his mouth.

Waver eventually regained functionality though not with any composure as he began feeling hot in the cold night, his forehead had begun to sweat, "A god. Wow that sounds incredible… What do they know about it?"

"Not much accept that it appeared in Fuyuki Japan. That's why I wanted to call you to get any information possible as it's is fetching a high price right now. Favours are being traded around here like crazy. I hear Lord El Melloi is getting two dozen calls an hour and is in constant contact with the top lords do to being so close to where the god appeared. Even the vice director herself is communicating with him. Can you believe it!"

"Ya that sounds… HEY WAIT A MINUTE!" Waver hadn't meant to say that last part out loud. "What do you mean Kayneth is getting called for information! Nobodies tried to contact me!"

Melvin said everyone at the clock tower even the students were being put to work on something to learn this new piece of mystery in the world so why hadn't he been contacted, wait Waver thought "Why do they not trust me?"

"Well, you see…" Melvin twiddled his thumbs.

"Yes." Waver urged.

"I haven't heard any one mention you." Melvin said slowly as he moved the phone away from his ears.

"WHAT!" The phone in Melvin's hand actually jumped from Wavers outburst.

"Hey, I'm just a student, I don't know what the lords and magicians are talking about." Melvin patted the phone with his hand reassuringly as if he was touching Wavers shoulder, "Besides I was planning to call you so consider me your most loyal ally."

Stupid Kayneth, stupid lineages, stupid families Waver mumbled into the phone as his body heaved with every breath.

"Now Waver calm down." Melvin said like a parent.

"Easy for you to say." Waver replied.

"No really, I have a bunch of people looking at me awkwardly from your previous outburst." Melvin looked around as a dozen students and even professor Animusphere himself stopped walking mid step to look at him for a moment before continuing on like nothing had happened.

Melvin took a moment to put up a soundproof barrier and continued, "Besides it's not as bad as you think. You're in the centre of the action, report some information to me, I tell it to the higher ups, we both get recognition, and I get an entertaining story."

Waver wanted to retort that maybe the reason people were looking at him was more so a result of him vomiting blood all over the campus but instead he decided to just get to the point.

"That's easy for you to say when you're not the one who's getting all the recognition taken from them even though you did all the work to summon Zhongli to begin with!" He vented as he unleashed all his anger and fell to the floor of the phonebooth with a thud.

"Who's Zhongl… Wait, no. No! NO! Waver you didn't!" Melvin hurled again in his excitement although this time he caught it and putting a cloth to his mouth. He also made sure to look around and thankfully nobody paid any actual attention to him this time. Melvin mentally noted to make sure to put up a barrier whenever he had a conversation with Waver in the future. No need for any high-end information getting leaked to unwanted magi after all.

Waver unconsciously puffed his chest out and held his head up high, "I did, and I've made a contract with him where we'll work together and exchange information."

"You know when you said you were going to turn the Clock Tower on its head and give me an interesting story, I didn't think you'd go this far or get it done in your first night. You really know how to fulfill a contract Waver." As he was talking Melvin took out a notebook from his bag and began taking scribbling whatever Waver said.

"Funny you should say that. Anyway, I'll tell you what I know but I have some questions I need answered first."

"No problem, you tell me what you know, and I'll answer your questions. What are friends for after all." Also, Melvin may have wanted to rub some inevitably highly priced information in his father's face eventually. Screw helping his superiors for scraps, they were in the big leagues now. But friendship came first of course!

"That's great, I have a lot to go through but just for now do the names Morax, Barbatos, Baal, and Havria mean anything to you?" Asked Waver.

Melvin was quite for a moment save a light hum as he wiped new drops of blood of his lip before answering with, "Ya, those names come from the demon god pillars of Solomon."

That was one hell of a coincidence thought Waver, why would Zhongli have one of his names be that of a demon.

Still, it explained why Waver had recalled a sense of familiarity when originally hearing them.

Melvin himself thought for a bit before asking in a joking manner "Why are these questions so important Waver, did you summon the Christian god himself?"

Waver meanwhile was still in deep thought and didn't notice Melvin's joking tone and so replied with, "No, he's definitely not that god. From what he's said he's likely not from proper human history at all actually."

From the other end of the phone Waver heard something along the lines of someone spitting out their drink which was close to the situation at hand except this time it involved a non-drinkable red fluid.

"He not from what!?" Melvin screamed before once again composing himself, blood leaking down his chin, "You have to stop doing this to me Waver. I'm probably going to be forced to clean this mess up myself soon."

"You're the one who asked." Waver replied more than a little smug.

"Fair enough, this just gets more and more exciting. So, is there anything else you can tell me?" Melvin asked.

"Allot actually although a good deal of it is speculation both for me and Zhongli."

"What are you on a first name basis with a god already, how did that happen?" Talk about a juicy story thought Melvin.

Waver paused for a bit; did he really just talk about a divine being so casually as a magus. Yes, the discussions he had with Zhongli himself were casual but that was mostly due to the god's down to earth presence.

But now talking as one magus to another it felt rather self-contradictory to a part of Waver. In the end Waver could only give one response to his friend "It's a long story." Friend… huh, he never thought that before.

"And I'd love to hear it!" Melvin said.

"Didn't you say you were in a rush?" Asked Waver with a chuckle.

"It can wait, besides no other magus in the Clock tower has a primary source on this issue."

"Alright I'll tell you, but you can't tell anyone else and I'll need another loan to take out." Waver warned.

Melvin waved his hands in the air lazily, "No problem, now get talking on all the details. My mother's purse isn't going to be emptied all on its own you know."

So, Waver told Melvin everything from the summoning to the discussion at the Ramen store. They began to theorise on what the truth of the situation was based on their knowledge of magecraft and the mysteries presented by the alien god. The conversation did have its fair share of Melvin vomiting up more blood, but it hardly dragged the discussion down. In the end the young Count and Fes broke the standard of secrecy within their organisation/school and indulged in everything from the logical to the absurd.

They also may have enjoyed their discussions so much as a result of the knowledge that certain parental figures and instructors wouldn't be in the know any time soon.

It was nice, just two magi discussing the wonder of mystery and its role new in reality.

Eventually everything came to an end which was probably a good thing as Waver didn't want Melvin passing out do to blood loss.

"Call me tomorrow same time so I can give you an update about anything I find out for our adventure." Melvin said.

"If you're so eager for an adventure why don't you fly over here." Waver said.

Melvin snorted before dramatically replying with, "No can do, I like my adventures from a distance, and someone has to be your spy. Besides I got to go before someone makes me clean up this mess. Now go rest up a little and get a drink."

"Alright I'll call you tomorrow, bye." With that Waver hung up the phone and stood up. He'd been sitting since he initially sat down and despite his sore legs he was in a good mood. He'd have to tell Zhongli everything and of course everyone in the Clock tower would want to know what he knew but that was hardly a bad thing. Stressful, yes, but what was a magus who had an easy time anyway.

Yes, today was a good day for Waver Velvet.

If only he had entered the Mackenzie's house ten minutes later as on the television a Japanese news reporter said, "Government officials have released images of what was discovered at the location where the golden pillar of light emanated..."

On the screen was Wavers transmutation circle. Once red Chicken blood now having turned brown but still in the shape he had left it in when he had to evacuate the area to avoid people who were attracted to Zhongli's unexpected over the top summoning.

In that moment, Waver just sighed catching The Mackenzie's and Zhongli's attention who were both watching the television with drinks in their hands.

Before saying a thing Waver just walked over to the kitchen table, grabbed a small bear can and chugged it down in a single gulp before opening his mouth and letting loose.
