Lady Eve Fanfiction: Mother Knows Best

Chapter 1: Cooked Books

Lady Eve sat at her dark wood table in the grandiose office of the Funeral home she and her husband own.

Her first born daughter was holding an accounting report she calculated on her mother's business I-Pad.

"What exactly am I looking at?" Lady Eve said taking the I-Pad from her daughter's hands.

"You're looking at my account summary that I put together with the expenses you authorized then I marked expenses that were authorized but you didn't verify mother."

"What do you mean were authorized? Are you saying that Jeremy Nichols has been giving himself bonuses on top of the handsome salary I've been giving him?" Lady Eve asked as she began to squeeze a full wineglass, she had in one hand.

"Yes mother. But the weird thing is, the account the money has been going to is at the same bank where Tobias Whale keeps his money. See the account number there on the next page?" Nandi said swiping to the next page.

Lady Eve let out a guttural growl before throwing the full wine glass at the chandelier above her. Glass shattered and exploded like a firework.

Nandi let out a shriek before teleporting herself across the room with her face shielded.

"Come back my dove. I'm calm. I'm calm," Lady Eve said coaxing her daughter back.

Nandi Zoomed back to the chair in front of her mom. "So, this is my theory. I think that Tobias put him up to it and split the profits with him. I think he's messing with you to let you know that he can make you money and mess with your money," Nandi said meekly as she watched her mother for another violent reaction.

"I have a job for you, my Dove. I need you to pay his bank a visit. Look at the money and if it equals to the amount that's missing from my account. It's time for me to harpoon an albino whale."

Nandi nodded her head and then zoomed out of the room for a few minutes and then appeared with the cash, dumping it on her mother's table. "Here's the money in that account," she said as she began to rapidly count the stacks of one-hundred-dollar bills.

Lady Eve counted the stacks her daughter didn't get to. Then said, "There must be at least half a million dollars I counted, and you no doubt are counting the other half. Go get your brother, I need him to dispatch Tobias."

Nandi nodded her head and then zoomed out of the room quicker than she could become a blur.

Meanwhile her brother Octavius was practicing Judo in the martial arts studio of the mansion.

"Yo, that was one sorry punch," Octavius laughed before he did a round house then flipped his secretary in training, Jordan.

"Oh yeah well you kick like punk," Jordan said before catching Octavius's right forearm and flipping him onto the floor mats.

Octavius grabbed Jordan's feet and flipped him leaving his knee in his stomach. "How about now?"

"Okay man, I give," Jordan said laughing.

Nandi entered the room in her black suit and pumps. "Sorry to break up your bro-mance, but mom has some business for you to attend to," she sarcastically.

Her twin brother took his knee off his secretary and helped him up before saying, "You're dismissed."

"Mother wants you to dispatch Tobias Whale but to handle the situation delicately apparently Both he and Jeremy Nichols have been stealing from the business," Nandi said.

"That punk-"

"Exactly. But she wants you to handle it wisely."

"You don't have to lecture me baby sis, I'm the first-born son remember?"

"Ugghhhh you kill me that. Mother had you four minutes before and by the way when I saw wisely it better not be like the time you handled those crooked cops who decided to be crooked to mother too."

"Oh yeah, they made nice scarecrows. Do you think it got Black Thunder noticed God she's hot."

"Ewww. I don't want to know about your fantasies with superheroes. Just take care of the rat and send Tobias the message." Nandi said with disgust.

"Alright bet." He said before going to a samurai sword.

"This isn't playing code of samurai you do know that. If you jack this upyou can kiss any promotion goodbye," Nandi said snidely.

"Oh, This blade never misses. You know I got it from Japan. They call it "Odachi" it means "field sword". It's a two-handed sword Japanese soldiers used to take down calvaries."

"Yeah, thanks for the history but all that sword needs to do is be able to give a warning or take off the head of an Albino, so he doesn't get it," Nandi said rolling her eyes.

With that he suited up to handle his business.
