This is a game my cabin taught me when I was at summer camp. We played with a bag of Skittles and with jellybeans. Jellybeans are a lot harder but still fun. I HIGHLY recommend this game. It is so much fun.

"Hey Ahsoka, want to play Guess the Flavor?"

"What's that?" She looked up from her datapad.

"We get a bag of Stardrops and try to get the colour just from the taste." Barriss held up a back of the candy. "Want to play?"

Five poked his head around the tent flap, narrowly missing banging his head on the tent pole. "Come on, Commander, it'll be fun! A lot of the guys are doing it."

"You realize I will trounce you all, but okay. Sounds more fun than homework anyway."

They sat in a circle on the floor of the troopers barracks. Barriss dumped the teardrop-shaped candies into a bowl and set the bowl in the middle of the circle. "Who's going first?"

"I'm feeling brave." Jesse closed his eyes and picked out of the bowl. "You all see what colour this is?" He waited until he heard a few affirmatives before dropping in it his mouth and opening his eyes. "Um, I dunno. Was it red?"

"No." Barris grinned.

"Hmm. Was it the purple one?"

"Yes. My turn." Echo reached for the bowl and tossed one in his mouth. "Oh, I know which one this is. I really like this one. It is light blue."

"Nope." Ahsoka grinned. "Not light blue."

"It's not?" He wrinkled his nose. "Uh, I don't know, purple?"

"No." Rex leaned back against the side of a bunk.

"Um, green."

"Yes, that was green. Rex, your turn." Barriss leaned over to hand him one. "No peeking."

"I'm not peeking." His face scrunched up as soon as he bit it. "Oh, that's licorice. I hate licorice."

"Yeah, it was the black one. My turn." Barriss closed her eyes and picked one out of the bowl. She frowned. "Okay, it's fruity. I'm not sure, is it orange?"

"No, not orange."

"Okay." She sighed. "I don't know! Was it the red one?"

"Yes!" Ahsoka grinned. "So is it my turn then?"

"Yup. Close your eyes and hold out you hand. No peeking."

She did and a candy settled into her palm. As soon as she brought it close to her face, the smell gave it away, but she ate it anyway. "Yellow."

"Ugh, how did you know?" Fives groaned.

"What, afraid you might have competition?" Jesse elbowed him in the ribs and the troopers laughed.

Ahsoka raised an eyebrow and Rex clarified. "Fives has an uncanny knack for guessing them on the first try. The boys like to keep track of how many times they can guess correctly the first time. If you're getting it on the first try, that's bad news for his record."

"Well, just you see." Fives closed his eyes and held his hand out. "Hit me."

Almost immediately everyone close to him leaned over and punched him in either the arm or the shoulder.

"Hey, not literally! Give me a candy!"

Ahsoka laughed and handed him one.

"Okay. You guys usually give me one of the blue ones 'cause they're hardest to tell apart, but…what is that?" He frowned. "Ugh, I don't know this one. It's not black right?"

"Nope." Barriss grinned.

"Okay. That's not a guess, by the way, doesn't count. This is, the white one."

"And he strikes again!" Jesse clapped his brother on the shoulder.

Ahsoka rolled her eyes playfully. "You guys do know I could probably guess the colour from scent alone. I don't need to taste it."

"Oh ho ho!" They looked interested. "Hey Commander, you should try that!" Echo grinned.

"Okay sure."

The game was supposed to be played until the candy ran out, but it devolved into seeing who could guess the most on the first try. Ahsoka could guess them correctly just from the smell and it befuddled the troopers, but also ruined Fives' record. And got Barriss all hyped up on a sugar high, which according to Master Unduli was a terrible idea.

The next chapter of Broken Hearts is finished. But I'm trying to stall, since the chapter after that is the trial and that is going to be a MONSTER to write. So I'll probably publish it tomorrow or the day after and then the trial chapter will be up whenever it's finished.
