So this is not what I wanted to write, but my actual idea just straight up copied a scene from a certain fic. So I changed the scene, not my favorite anymore. In other things I'm done with all of my exams! You know that feeling where everyone is talking about one question and you realise you did it completely wrong. Well I do. It's not fun.

The Problem of Evil, by Charles Bhepin, I like the idea that Ainz brainstorms different arguments to deal with the more problematic sides of the NPCs, highly recommended.

Indolent Overlord by UnknownRegion, There is a certain scene where Satoshi(his OC) explains that they(players) are planeswalkers, highly recommended

They were once more in the holy hall of the supreme ones, called there by the exalted supreme being of death, Ainz Ooal Gown. After another successful mission, they had been called here to receive their next directive and, inexplicably, receive their rewards. To serve the Supreme Beings was a reward unto itself, and it just further proves just how generous the last remaining Supreme Being was that he insisted on rewarding them. Today, all of the floor guardians, except for Gargantua and Victim, and all of the Pleiadians, were gathered. The Pleiadians were especially excited, having only been in the throne room a few times. Especially since they had performed phenomaly, being a key part of the mission. To serve the Supreme Being well is the highest form of reward; To have such service recognised even higher; To be directly rewarded by a Supreme Being hand the ultimate pleasure. As soon as everyone had reached their spots, a flash of light indicated the arrival of the highest existence in Nazarick. His presence spread before being quickly reined in, forcing any to the ground, if they weren't already kneeling.

In his awe inspiring voice he started, "Rise my guardians, today you have proven yourselves once more and have won another victory for Nazarik"

"Victory always for you" replied the Guardians, even Mare and CZ yelled enthusiastically.

In his mind Ainz sweat dropped. They were always so enthusiastic in expressing loyalty. A familiar fear came to his mind, what if they found out that he was faking it…. Hopefully his speech today, would allay some of their fears and explain away their doubts.

"In light of your present and past accomplishments, I present to you a choice. Either I shall enlighten you on the Supreme Beings or give you each a personal reward"

The NPCs eyes grew wide, for them it was an easy choice. To learn more about their creators, the Supreme Beings is better than any material reward. Perhaps they could learn why they left and learn to serve the last better. Yes they were determined to better serve his majesty, united in their dedication they gave their answer as one.

Hearing their dedication and intent, their Lord started retelling a well worn tale.

" First it is important to know just what exactly a Player is, for my colleagues and I were, and are, Players"

The NPCs could not believe it to be as such, yet if their Lord declared it so… However, to compare the Supreme Beings to any Player is to compare gods to ants, it is sacrilegious. Dermuige was the first to voice his objections, "My lord, forgive my interjection, but to compare the Supreme ones to lesser being such as Players…" he trailed off.

A booming laugh came from their lord, "You are forgiven, while we are truly Players, one and the same species, Players are just that a species of transcendent beings, and in any species there are always superior specimens."

The NPCs could only marvel at the information they had just received, but before they could turn it over in their heads, Ainz sama continued.

"As I just said, Players are transcendent beings, we travel planes of existence and through different dimensions. While the reasons may differ, the only constants are that we are immortal in any world we travel to. Some worlds, like Yggdrisal, were for our enjoyment, those worlds varied immensely, from worlds of constant strife to strifeless worlds, small worlds to worlds spanning galaxies to explore, magical worlds to worlds without an ounce of magic. No matter how many times we die in these world, we still live in our original world. All players come from one original world, it could be said to be the original world. This world was called Earth"

His majestic visage turns brooding and remorseful, "However, Earth was no paradise of gods, rather it was the worst of hells. Machinations of a thousand years ensnared and killed millions of Players. I admit that we Supreme Beings, being the youngest of the Players, also fell victim to these machinations."

For the second time today, the NPC were shook, until Aura spoke up, "Such fiends, to targeting the Supreme Ones for millennia before their birth, of course that is the only way they could hope to defeat them" she finished smuggly.

Their Lord regarded her for a moment, before agreeing quietly, granted his majestic voice still boomed in their ears.

"Hmmm, yes, once weakened we were saddled with inane responsibilities, which led to our gradual departure as we ran out of time to devote to yggdrasil. Some of the Supreme Beings also had different responsibilities, such as raising their families and managing worlds."

He then smiled ruefully, or at least seemed to, "Hero-Hero hardly had any down time, barely managing the time to come" Solution looked like she was enlightened,

Then looking at the twins, "It is common knowledge that Bukubukuchagama breathed life into creatures" the twins looked conflicted on this, happy that their creator was recognised but sad in her imprisonment.

"I am not the compassionate one who stayed behind that you think I am" Lord Ainz started after a pause, "I had fully intended to leave after this avatar vanished with the rest of yggdrasil" The guardians refused to take that line of reasoning any farther.

"Yggdrasil was coming to an end, in other words dying, which only exacerbated the leaving of my comrades. I only stayed as long as I did as I had nowhere else to turn to."

Another pause, it seemed as if it pained the Avatar of Death to speak on this topic but before any could speak up he continued.

"Instead of vanishing into the void, instead I came to this world. What I say should never be shared lightly, but I also became sealed into this world."

The NPCs took a moment to process that, but once they did they couldn't stop the smiles that came to their faces. Luckily, Ainz was looking at the ceiling at that moment, reminiscing.

"I am sealed away from my home and responsibilities, but this world is comparable better", he mused, "That should suffice for your rewards, I trust you are satisfied"

The NPC couldn't express their emotions, both the happiness and sadness, but still their programing led them through. They responded with a clear and, somehow, more devoted "YES AINZ SAMA".

However much to their surprise, instead of teleporting out like usually, he instead walked down the steps of the throne, approaching the pleiades.

"Before I forget, Entoma step forward, I shall explain a few of my actions as substitution of her voice"

Entoma could hardly believe it, "Ainz sama, it is hardly necessary, I am content with the reward we just received!", despite that she stepped forward, she would not, could not disobey.

"I expected as much, but I feel you would be helpful in my explanation" he replied, "You all are aware of previous players, and their affection towards humans, yes?"

Albedo stepped forward now, "Yes my lord, it is prove of their inferiority"

"Except I also have such an affection, of course to a much lesser degree, or did you not notice" he asked rhetorically.

"Of course my lord, I had assumed it was part of a grand scheme I couldn't fathom"

"If it is part of a scheme or not is irrelevant, it is still an affection, of course to a much lesser degree than theirs. But why do you think that is, Demiurge?"

"I could not hope to guess your intentions, but perhaps it is some power we and even they themselves are unaware of?"

"Excellent, but not quite right"

Demiurge looked panicked at that response, to fail was the greatest sin, "Then what is the reason"

"I have told you that all players came from a world called Earth, we are all the same species. Our species looks remarkably similar to humans, they even showcase some of our lesser traits. It is why I am cautious of them and slightly affectionate, they remind me of Earth, and depending on their relative divinity, could be especially powerful"

With that bombshell of information, he gestured for Entoma to step forward and face him.

"Entoma, you are a superior specimen of the Arachane race, yes? How would you view a common house spider?"

Falling to a kneel, she replied, "with all due respect Lord Ainz, they are a inferior species, not worth of mention"

"Rise, Entoma, a well thought answer that was, but what if they could become strong enough to bring harm to Nazarik, or help it? What if they could become a shield for Nazarik?"

"It is right for all, to defend Nazarik, but I doubt their abilities" she paused, "if they do become strong enough, they could be worthy of defending Nazarik"

"A well intentioned answer, that should be enough for now, thank you Entoma. Hear me my guardians, I have been trapped in paradise alone, but I will not stay this way, eventually I shall free the others from their shackles and bring them to this paradise we have found"

After bowing and returning to the line, Ainz teleported away. Leaving the NPCs to disperse and try and process the information they had just received. Demiurge fell to his knees laughing maniacally, "Sasuga, Ainz Sama, the supreme ones are truly beyond us" and for once everyone agreed with him. That day marked a turning point for Nazarick, becoming a well oiled machine that truly understood their goal.

In another part of Nazarick, the chambers of the last supreme being, a salary man was worrying about his latest sale, "I really hope they bought that, I really really hope they did. I don't think I could stand another week of this tip toeing around my guildmates". A pause, "it isn't a bad idea, I wonder if I could actually bring them here? Ah, it is a problem for future me, I guess"

I like this chapter, even though I didn't mention some things. In other words I already have the next two chapters planed, just gotta write them. Easier said than done tho.

Comments on the last chapter

-Maskedkeeper

Supa awkward

-Visual Bliss

I guess that also makes sense, but I don't believe the dragons to be that much stronger than Zesshi, she could put up a fight at least. But with how - I think - levels work in yggdrasil, each level is 10 x more exp, which is kinda ridiculous but idk.

-Metafanfix and Bananachi

Thanks for the compliments, so far I haven't really written any actually stories, only minimum dialogue short bits. But I do have a story idea in the works!
