Kuroko didn't have the greatest awakening ever. From his alarm constantly blaring to the lights shining through his curtains right on his eye, no, Kuroko definitely didn't have the greatest time waking up, but that wasn't all that was wrong..

Kuroko was always on the short side, obviously compared to someone like Murasakibara anyone could seem small, but he almost 5/7 last time he checked. Looking at a mirror now, he couldn't even have been 5/6. Now, Kuroko had been going through crazy theories on why he would be shrinking, the most dominant one in his head was his lack of eating, which he promised he would change if he had the chance, he couldn't live if he kept shrinking, but Kuroko looked in the mirror and saw some other things.

His face was younger, Kuroko already didn't have that adult of a face, but his face looked like how he looked in middle school….

Kuroko quickly turned on his phone and looked at the date and it was 7:00 AM, JULY 21ST! Year ****

"How was this possible, I traveled through time?" Kuroko thought

Most people would be freaking out upon discovering this event, but Kuroko has been keeping his emotions in check since Middle school, so he had much less of a reaction then most people. Kuroko has also been playing basketball with people most people would be calling "Impossible". So Kuroko kept his cool and had a very minor reaction

"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME?!" Or maybe not….

Kuroko was knocked out of his little breakdown by a notification sound on his phone. It was a text from his mom:

"Good morning honey, I know you always awake at this time so I know you should read this before you head out to school, your father and I just wanted to wish you good luck on your first day and we are sorry we couldn't be there to wish you off. We are super proud that you got into Teiko and we hope to hear lots from you in the next coming weeks, whether that be about school, some new friends, or just anything in general. With lots of love, your mom and dad :)"

Even though Kuroko was wrestling with some major terror right now, his body seemed to be on auto pilot, getting ready for school, and heading out the door. He was so out of focus that he didn't even notice that when he dropped his keys from his right hand while he was about to lock the door, his left hand caught it before they hit the ground. Once he locked the door he started his way to school.

What was amazing about Teiko especially in the beginning of the school year were the cherry tries on the school campus and right on the sidewalk. Kuroko was excited for his first year there and wanted to see those tree's, and his body this time was no different, what broke Kuroko out of his daze/thought process once again was him finally noticing how fast he was going. Kuroko obviously was never gifted with anything spectacular in the fitness department, in fact, it was quite the opposite. It seemed as if life was against him and he was given a small body, with a small running speed, and even a smaller than usual stamina department. Kuroko had only one thought on his mind at that moment however.

"When was I ever this fast before?"

Kuroko was running down the sidewalks, zigzagging through both civilians and other students/parents on their way to school.

Since Kuroko always had a low presence, he had just given up on people not bumping into him on the streets by accident, so it was always up to him to make sure nobody ever bumped into him, and that training was coming into use. Right, left, right, left. Kuroko was almost like a ninja. Unseen by most until he arrived at his destination, Teiko Middle School.

Kuroko arrived earlier than most to school, so there weren't that many people there yet, mostly over zealous students wanting either to meet their friends, or trying to join a club ahead of the line that would inevitably start once everyone arrived. The other major group of people were the students setting up their club banner/booth.

Soccer, Baseball, Football, Math, Robotics, Science, Library, Ancient history, heck, even a fish club both were set up. But none of these were as impressive as the basketball booth. It reminded Kuroko of the first time he arrived here. Obviously Kuroko was a basketball fan before middle school, but the banner/booth made it a much easier time finding it. While Kurko was remicicing, he was knocked out of his thoughts, once again, but this time much more forcefully.

"HEY, WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!"

Kuroko looked up and recognized the person right away. It was Shūzō Nijimura, the previous captain of the basketball team before he had to give up his duties for family reasons which led to Akashi having the position much earlier then normal

Nijimura looked around a little bit and finally saw Kuroko.

"Oh… Um… I am sorry about that, I didn't see you there, that whole incident was my fault, don't worry about it. Are you okay?"

Kuroko took a couple of seconds to realize what had just happened, but one major thing he realized was Nijimura didn't recognize him.

"No, it was my fault for not being aware of my surroundings, I should be used to this by now, don't worry Nijimura-Senpai" Kuroko said while getting up

Kuroko also didn't notice that he had used Nijimura's name before he introduced himself.

"How do you know my name…?"

Kuroko quickly thought of two options, the first was.

"Hi Nijimura-Senpai, my name is Kuroko and I have just managed to time travel my future consciousness into my younger self by a couple of years so we technically haven't met yet, but in the same sense, I am actually older than you, please show me some respect."

The second option was the option Kuroko chose, mostly because it wouldn't get him locked up for being crazy and miss his first day of school

"Oh, sorry about that Senpai, I have read about you in a middle school basketball sports article, I promise I am not a stalker or anything like that, you are actually one of my favorite players here at Teiko" Kuroko said quickly

Nijimura, not used to anyone recognizing him, especially from a basketball article, was at a loss for words for a moment, but then he felt even guiltier. First he knocked over some First year to his school, and it was a fan to boot. He Quickly apologized to Kuroko after that

"Don't worry about it, it was my fault for not looking where I was going, While Nijimura was apologizing, he had made a quick glance towards Kuroko bag, after seeing a pencil case and other school items, he almost looked away, but then an item really caught his interest.

"Are those basketball shoes you have in there?" Nijimura asked

Kuroko looked where Nijimura's eyes were and saw that he did have baseball shoes in them, although he didn't really remember packing them.

"It appears to be, Nijimura-Senpai, I didn't realize I had packed them" Kuroko then zipped up his bag before any other random items appeared in there

"Perfect, here was my chance" Nijimura thought immediately

"Well, since I knocked you over and you are my fan + a basketball lover to boot, here you go"

Nijimura passed Kuroko a sheet of paper which read "Basketball club application form" on it.

Kuroko wasn't really sure why he was given this

"Senpai, why did you give me this form?" Kuroko asked

"Well, Judging by the fact that you have basketball shoes in your bag and your a fan of mine I could only assume that you were going to try to join the basketball club, so as a way to make up for knocking you over, I have decided to give you a tryout sheet, you are much too early to get a application normally, and I have a feeling it would of been hard to get one after things got hectic here. So now you won't have to fight over this sheet, you can hand it back to me after school ends and the baseball club joins the gym, your senpai's amazing isn't he?" Nijimura looked proud at what he did

Kuroko on the other hand didn't really know what to do, so he gave a polite answer.

"Thank's Nijimura-Senpai. I appreciate it"

"No problem my number one fan, I hope to see you there, now if you excuse your Senpai, I have a booth to put together" Nijimura said as he walked away

Kuroko didn't have the time to correct him about being his "number one fan"

He quickly moved on into the school a few minutes later, just as most booths opened up, herds of people crowded around each booth trying to get an application to their favorite club.

Kuroko quickly found his classroom and sat down. Staring at the application sheet, thinking "What should I do now?"

Authors note: Hello everyone who is reading this. Sorry for the late upload, but I at least hit my quota once I week. I looked up Kuroko height which was where I got those numbers from. I also looked up when school started in Japan, which was where I got July. I also remember seeing pink tree's when Kuroko re-told his life at Teiko to Serin. I could be wrong but I didn't think it mattered enough to go to the episodes and check. I already like this story better than the first and hopefully whoever reads this does too.

I am super hyped, the second part of season 4 of Haikyuu came and I loved it. I have already read the manga so I know what happened (Pushes up made up anime glasses). But I am still excited to see it animated. I hope everyone has a good day today and again, if you have anything you want to put in the comments in the realm as suggestions, I will be reading them. Have a great day and stay safe :)
