Kuroko has been trying to find and keep some sort of schedule for his new life. It wasn't as if he could walk into a book store and look for a book or guide on what to do when you have been sent back in time. Kuroko got desperate enough to go online and try asking people on the internet, every single answer was a troll, so that was also a big failure.

After a couple days of freaking out and making sure that he did indeed travel back in time, and not some mental breakdown from his loss to Rakuzan. He finally calmed down a bit, Kuroko realized that he was in a unique situation that almost let him do anything. He could win the lottery, or become a millionaire.

Most people would only describe Kuroko in four different ways: He has Low Presence, Low Stamina, Physically weak, and a basketball geek. Kuroko's love of basketball only seemed to be matched by either Aomine before his skill blossomed, or Ogiwara before the G.O.M. rigged final's score to be 111-11. What most people never seemed to notice or care about, is his intellect. While Kuroko was no Seijūrō Akashi (Who Kuroko has never witnessed to get less than perfect in any school assignment/test) Kuroko would always be at least in the top 10% of all students when midterms or finals came around. When midterm tests came around, it was Kuroko and Momoi that were always given the task to make sure Aomine, Kise, and Murasakibara passed.

If you were sent back in time, by three years in education, and you were always one of the best students, what do you think would happen?

Kuroko this time around, would have been considered a genius if anyone paid attention to him. That was why Kuroko could easily become a millionaire, he could just invest into stocks, or anything along those lines. With his future knowledge, it would have been a breeze. But that would of drawn attention, something he was vehimily against until he was at least in high school

But what Kuroko was really thinking about, was the near future middle school basketball circuit, and the high school basketball circuit in a couple of years.

It would be an obvious statement to say that the G.O.M. destroyed the middle school basketball circuit, Kuroko never realised the mental damage that his team caused until seeing his best friend's love of basketball die right in front of him. Kuroko knew this time that he would try his best to change that.

Another thing Kuroko had to think about, was whether or not he would try to befriend his former teammates once again, in either Teikou or Serin. Kuroko knew that it was Teikou's policies and how the school operated it's sports that were a big factor in how and why his teammates became monsters, but he also knew that they were not entirely not to blame, and it could be said that Kuroko would not be jumping at the first opportunity to either befriend anyone from his past that betrayed him.

High school was another thing on Kuroko's mind. He didn't want to go to Serin anymore, especially after what happened the first time, and all of the other schools that he went against were also somewhere he would not want to go.

This is what Kuroko thought about most of the day. He would have been content like that as well, just going through school not drawing attention to himself, but fate never went how you expected it.

*One Day After School*

Kuroko was laying on the floor in gym three. Even though Kuroko had much better stamina then the first time, he wasn't superhuman. Kuroko still loved Basketball, even after everything that happened, he couldn't stay away. So it was only natural that he kept practicing well after everyone had left, usually they would close the gym but I guess it was good Kuroko had a nice Sempai. It was actually very simple to acquire the keys…

"Excuse me, Nijimura-Senpai?"

"AAAHHH, DON'T HURT ME I'M INNOCENT"

Nijimura quickly looked around and saw it was only Kuroko. Both Teenagers looked at one another for quite a bit and even though Nijimuran never said anything, Kuroko swore he heard Nijimura say "Tell anyone about this and I will make your basketball life a living hell".

After recovering himself, Nijimura responded "Hello there Kuroko, you need to stop doing that"

"I am sorry that you didn't notice I was here"

"I can't belief that I never notice you with your blue hair, you stick out like a sore thumb, how do you do that"

"I am sorry Nijimura-Senpai, but that is a trade secret"

After going back and forth Nijimura finally asked what Kuroko wanted

"You need keys for the third gym, Why?"

Obviously, Kuroko couldn't respond with the entire truth, he didn't want Nijimura to believe him to be crazy once he tried to explain he was from the future, so Kuroko left a couple of details.

"I really want to improve my basketball and I don't have any access to any court or practice area near my house, so the school is my next best choice. So please give me a set of spare keys, I want to join you on the court one day Senpai"

Kuroko felt a little bad manipulating Nijimura like that, what he just said would probably not happen. Not due to a lack of skill, but because Kuroko wouldn't be caught dead playing with his former teammates, at least, not until he forgave them, if he ever did.

While Kuroko was feeling bad about his manipulations. Nijimura was in his own world. He could picture it now:

It was the fourth Quarter and the score was tied. There were 10 seconds left and he had just passed the ball. The enemy team quickly covered him with a triple team. All his team's hopes and dreams were on his shoulders. He broke past the triple teams and scored the final goal with a dunk. With Teiko winning the championship and Kuroko saying "You're the best Senpai!"

Even though Kuroko would never say that, or he can't dunk never occurred to him. After being snapped out of his daydream by a quick pinch by Kuroko.

'"I like your attitude First Year, you want to get better and join your favorite Senpai on the courts, who am I to deny that request"

"So you will give me the keys?" Kuroko asked surprised it was so easy

"Not Yet!" Kuroko felt as if an imaginary anvil dropped on him

"What do I have to do to warm the keys Nijimura-Senpai?"

After pausing for dramatic effect Nijimura answered

"You must score in the top 50 first years for the mock exams coming up!"

Kuroko looked at him deadpanned

"Are you serious, do you realize how hard that would be?"

In Reality, for Kuroko, it wasn't that hard at all, but what Kuroko wanted to avoid was sticking out. That was the biggest reason why Kuroko wanted the third gym keys, he didn't want to practice with other people, and if he did well on the mock exam, the same thing would happen. But it appeared Nijimura was very insistent on the fact.

"Sorry there Kuroko, but having gym keys is a huge responsibility and if you lost them it would be on my head. I also need to make sure that you are your education just as responsible"

Kuroko tried to argue with him but it had no results. He went home trying to think of a way to complete his task while not standing out, the only thing that he could think about, was trying to answer a couple answers and incorrectly or just answer the questions randomly.

Weeks went by and clubs let most members take some time off. Kuroko would have to take that time just to make sure Nijimura didn't think he wasn't trying.

Finally, the week of exams came and some students were stressing out or trying to cram, and others were not worried at all.

Kuroko was in the second category.

The day of exams came and he sat down with his goal in mind, try to get top 50 but not do too well to stick out. The day finished and most students have different reactions, some were depressed, some complained about teachers, somewhere confident, and some just arrived thinking it was another day entirely. Kuroko was confident about his plan however. He just had to wait for his results.

The next day, Kuroko arrived at school but it didn't go how he expected

"KUROKO!"

Kuroko turned towards who was yelling his name, and saw it was Nijimura running towards him.

"Good Morning Nijimura-Senpai, why are you yelling my name?"

"Don't play stupid with me, I told you to get into the top 50 of students but I never thought you actually would, I just wanted to make you apply yourself to education, but then you prove me wrong and do it. I guess you got some inspiration from yours truly, huh? Anyway, here are your keys and I hope you don't mind me coming to join you in practice once and awhile. I have to go now, but just remember Kuroko, you brought tears to your Senpai!"

With that. Nijimura dashed off and Kuroko started to walk towards where they post test results. But funny enough, it was actually a little difficult getting there. For some reason people were noticing him and even congratulating him. Kuroko was not sure why, but he found out shortly after.

Kuroko made his way towards the results and saw what happened:

#1: Seijūrō Akashi 100/100

#2 Kuroko Tetsuya 98/100

#3 Shintarō Midorima 95/100

He… Came… Second.

Even beating Midorima.

All Kuroko said was two words "Damn it"

Authors Note:

Holy, I am so sorry about not posting for awhile. I have had universty work combined with a lack of motivation and just Covid in genral had really killed my mood. It has gotten a bit better so that is why you see the chapter now. I hope you really like it, it was fun to like. I really hope you don't mind what I did with Nijimura. I know in the anime he is a bit more serious in the anime but I really enjoy writing him like that.

Sorry in advance for any spelling errors. I usually write just for an hour or two staright and get off and I just can't be bothered to spell check. If anyone also offers to beta write for me I will turn down the offer. So if anyone was going to offer thanks for considering it but I want to write this story solo, even if some of the spelling makes sence.

I hope everyone is doing well and I might try to get another chapter out this week, but no promises. I hope everyone is doing well and if anyone wants to leave suggestions in the comments I will read them.

Last Note: I actaully used "Kuroko's" name over 40 TIMES. I am sorry if that annoys anyone.
