AN: Uhhhhh, I didn't know where this came from, but well here you go. Maybe I'm avoiding writing my other character's HEAs, but I guess their loss is your gain….

You Broke Me First

Penelope sat at her computers, checking through her programs mindlessly. He new hobby after…

"Pen, you got a minute? "

Her body stiffed hearing Derek's voice echoed through the small space. Damn, it had been over two weeks and it still sent pain through her body hearing his voice. The same voice that now haunted her dreams, her fantasies, her every waking moment.

God, Pen, you feel so good. So wet, so hot.

The best and worst night of her life.

Even after all this time she still couldn't wrap her head around everything. It was like any other regular Friday movie night. Although, this one involved a hell of a lot more alcohol but still. It was tons of flirting, cuddling, and well just being best friends.

As Penelope stood to get a cup of water, Derek grabbed her arm, pulling her onto his lap. The heavy bulge in his pants sobered her up right away. Then, out of nowhere, he kissed her. And as his hands skimmed up her thighs, migrating to her core, it finally happened.

One moment she thought she was getting everything she'd ever dreamed of, then, then before she knew it, everything crumbled. She had woken up early the next morning, and after admiring her chocolate god of thunder for a moment, she headed to the living room with a huge smile on her face, she was bent over picking up their mess from their passionate night. Things had definitely gotten a little wild, the least she could do was help clean up when he slept in.

After all he did get a massive workout in.

However, when he walked into the room, he acted like nothing happened. Actually, it was worse than that. Within seconds, she clearly understood Derek was doing everything he could to pretend none of it happened. He barely even looked her in the eyes.

She'd never be able to describe the pain she felt. Not even if she tried.

Before she could lose it, she left his house the next morning just as she'd done thousands of times after their movie nights. And instead of any protest, all she got was a quick kiss on her forehead and a "I'll see you at work Monday."

It was only reaffirmed to her the next time they ended up at the bar, and he was on the dance floor grinding against any young willing woman he could find.

After only ten minutes, she left.

She couldn't see him go home with someone else. Not after what they shared. Sure, he might have decided it never happened, but to her…. to her it was everything.

Penelope had never felt pain like that before. Not even when his parents died. This was different. This was like her heart was ripped out and stomped on and then thrown in a shredder for good measure. All the while Derek acted like everything was fine.

He broke her, and she refused to ever let him break her again.

Swallowing her pain, she turned. "What can I do for you, Agent Morgan?"

"No, Hot stuff?" he placed his hand over his chest. "I'm hurt."

"Pft." Penelope huffed. "I've got somewhere to be, what do you need, Morgan?"

Derek arched his brow. "I don't know what your issue has been the last few weeks, but whatever it is, you need to get over it."

She stared at him, wide-eyed. "What did you just say?"

"You've had a real bug up your ass. What's your problem? It was like out of nowhere you changed. You don't even hangout with the team anymore. Lord knows the last time we had a movie ni- "

That bastard.

"What do you need, Morgan," she spat, turning back to her computer doing her best to harden everything inside of her. She thought she knew everything about her best friend. She thought she knew him inside and out, and after that night, she thought she knew him intimately as well. But somewhere along the line, she was wrong.

She knew nothing about Derek Morgan.

And at this point, she never wanted to know another thing about him again.

"Hotch needs you to get details on this guy." He handed her a file, "he needs it by morning."

Garcia took the file, not looking at Derek. "He'll have it."

"Penelope, what "

"This is gonna take me all night, Morgan. If you don't need anything else, I ask you nicely to leave."

Derek shook his head. "You've changed. I don't know what happened to you, but you aren't the Penelope Garcia I know."

"Ha." She laughed. "You don't say?"

He looked at her, his face sad. "I miss how we used to be. I miss our movie nights, our banter, everything. It was like out of nowhere you changed. It hurts, Pen. You're my best friend. But right now you don't even feel like a friend anymore."

That's it.

She stood, snapping her body toward him. "It hurts? It hurts? Are you kidding me? You've got some nerve there, Morgan. You can say you missed how we were all you want. You can say I've changed, you can say whatever the hell you want, and I don't' give a shit. You broke me first. Sorry you don't like the consequence of your actions. That's not my problem." She grabbed her laptop and the file. "Tell Hotch hell have everything sent to him by morning."

Before she could take a step, Derek grabbed her arm, stopping her from leaving. "What the hell are you talking about?"

"You know what, Morgan. I was wrong about you. I was wrong about you since day one. You weren't ever my best friend. No, you were nothing."

"Penelope- "

"You did this to us. You changed us. You chose to sleep with me and then pretended nothing happened. You chose this not me. Have a good life, Morgan. If I never have to interact with you again for the rest of my life, I wouldn't complain." With that Penelope grabbed her stuff and stormed out of her office, thankful for her, she made it to the elevator before the tears fell.

AN: uhhhhhhh, yeah so. Not really sure where this came from, but if I didn't write it, I'd go crazy. Maybe when I need right now is some P&D to finally get me out of my writer's funk. What do you guys think?
