Caboose and Dawn had gone through alot of pre-dates to get to the first date. Dawn was extremely patient with him and found his caution to be an endearing factor about him. She knew what it was like to get her heart broken by someone she trusted.
However, today was unique. The war on Chorus was finally over, and they could actually enjoy their lives. Right now, Dawn was waiting for Michael to come pick her up. He built his own car that relied on nuclear fission shortly after the war's end. In appearance, it was a Chevrolet Camaro. It looked exactly like the Transformers Age Of Extinction version of Bumblebee after becomes a Chevrolet Camaro once again. However, Michael's version was lightning blue with white angel wings on the hood.
When Michael arrives, Dawn smiles and watches him open the door for her and holds her hand as she gets into the passenger side. When he shut the door, he quickly got in on his side before driving away. Michael felt so giddy, but he didn't want to show it. So many different things were on his mind. Would he do well? What if he screws up? What if he causes her to hate him?
"Nervous?" Dawn asks in a calm and warm tone.
"Very." Michael said.
"You'll be just fine. If you're worried about driving me away from you, you should know that you can't shake a loyal Texas woman away." Dawn said with a smile as she caresses Michael's cheek.
"Thanks, Dawn. That means alot to me." Michael said with a smile.
"Hey, we prepared for this. We're ready." Dawn said with a smile.
"Alright." Michael said before taking a deep breath and relaxing.
When they arrive at the restaurant, Dawn receives a call from her sister, Midnight.
"Hey, sis. What'd you need?" Dawn asks.
"Well, I somehow got your daughter to go to sleep." Midnight said with a smile.
"Sorry about Eden, she gets really anxious and scared when she doesn't see a familiar face." Dawn said with a smile.
"I see that now. This also means that I'm gonna need to come around more often." Midnight said with a smile.
"Yeah, and thanks for watching her, sis." Dawn said with a smile.
"No problem, have fun you two." Midnight told her sister before hanging up.
When they walk into the restaraunt, they are taken to a table on the second level on the balcony. When they get to their table, Michael pulls the seat back so that Dawn could sit down.
"Thank you, my handsome gentleman." Dawn said with a warm smile.
"You're welcome, my lovely sunrise." Michael says causing Dawn to blush and taking a seat.
"Oh boy." The waiter says with a sigh.
"Sorry, he's new to the whole dating thing. We don't get out much cause of our little girl." Dawn explains.
"Oh sorry. I wasn't trying to be rude." The waiter said apologizing.
"You're fine." Dawn said.
"So what'll you be having tonight?" The waiter asked.
"We'll be having the Marion Sunrise." Michael said.
"Ah, right away sir." The waiter said before walking away.
"Marion Sunrise? Is that a code word?" Dawn asks with a devious smile as she leans on the table crossing her arms.
"Oh, you know me so well." Michael answers with a smirk.
"I like to think I do." Dawn says flirtatiously.
After 20 minutes, the food and drinks arrive causing everyone inside to smile in anticipation. After the couple finish their meals, they open the champagne with a loud pop. After a waitress pours a couple glasses, she hands them to Michael and Dawn. When the staff walk away, Dawn notices a look on her boyfriend's face.
"What's troubling you?" Dawn asked Michael in a concerned manner.
"You remember the other day when I snapped at the person on the phone?" Michael asked.
"Yeah." Dawn said becoming curious.
"It was child services." Michael said causing Dawn to raise an eyebrow. "And they told me that I have three older children. A boy and two girls. They withheld their names, but they asked if I wanted them."
"And you did." Dawn said observantly.
"Yes, but I need your okay to do so." Michael said calmly.
"They're your kids, hon. It's your decision, though if we had more of our own as well, I wouldn't mind sharing you." Dawn said with a smile.
"You mean it? No strings attached?" Michael asked.
"Mhm." Dawn said with a smile.
"Thank you so much. This makes tonight so much easier." Michael said with a sigh of relief.
"Why?" Dawn asks in concern as Michael stands up with a painful effort.
Everyone in the building turn their heads and watch the couple intently. When Michael kneels on one knee, pulling out a box, and opening it to reveal a sapphire ring on a silver band, groaning in pain due to his war wounds.
"Will you, Dawn Goldielocks Monroe, make the happiest man in the universe by becoming my wife?" Michael asked.
Dawn stood up covering her mouth as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"Yes! Oh my God, yes!" Dawn shouted before kissing her new fianceƩ passionately.
When the new engaged couple heard clapping from everyone inside, they pulled away, smiling happily as confetti flew into the air and Michael placed the ring on Dawn's finger. Dawn turned to her fianceƩ and draped her arms around his neck before kissing him passionately. When she pulled away, she and Michael held their foreheads together and whispered a promise to each other.
"Now and forever. No stone unturned, and love unsquandered. For eternity, till death do us part."
