A/N: So this is my attempt at doing something different with what's been done in Fanfiction especially with the wrestling side of things. We've seen several guys attempt to write their OCs careers including me, my cousin, Ced and so many others but I don't hink we've ever wrote about guys who are past the point of their in-ring career and are approaching their wrestling career as an Authority Figure. And that's what I'm attempting here with this story. My OC, "The King Midas of WWE", "The Modern Day Gladiator", "The Chosen-1" Xavier Williams or the man known mononymously as Xavier who is a former 5-time World Champion in WWE. So without further ado, I hope you guys enjoy the story and stick around because it's gonna get interesting.

Chapter 1: The Call

Sunday, November 18th, 2018 - Miami, Florida

Today was Sunday, November 18th. Today was a special day. For most people, it's a basic sunday. For football fans, it's the best day of the week football sunday, the day you would see some of the best games that the NFL had to offer but for wrestling fans, this sunday, today was Survivor Series, one of the best Pay-Per-Views that the WWE has too offer. Possibly one of the most important as well considering it was part of the Big 4 that included the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series. Survivor Series had a special place in a lot of people's hearts including Xavier Williams.

12 years ago, Xavier made his debut in the WWE and it had been nothing but special ever since. 12 years ago the WWE decided to take a chance on a 22 year old kid signing him to a contract. He had done a lot in that 12 year span winning the World Heavyweight Champion 4-times, the WWE Championship 1-time, the WWE Intercontinental Championship 2-times, the WWE Tag Team Championship 1-time and finishing up his career winning the title that had eluded him for so long and that was the WWE United States Championship making him a Grand Slam and allowing him to retire in the year 2016.

Retirement had been nice for the 6'4, 250 pound African-American male, Xavier Williams. Retirement had allowed him to live his life and finally spend the money he had earned over the years from his battles in the ring. During his 12 year career, he had earned a little bit over 9 million from his wrestling contracts alone but he used that money to build his portfolio investing at least 2 million into business and investments that had managed to double and damn near triple. To put it simple, he was well off. He didn't have to work another day in his life truly unless he wanted to. He did things the smart way, using his money to invest in other avenues of money. Keep the money flowing as his mom would always tell him up until her unfortunate passing when he reached the age of 16 years old.

Josephine Williams. Mama Williams did the best she could raising Xavier and his brother Deion all by her lonesome. Deion became a football player making it to 3 Pro Bowls in his 15 year career. Heart Disease led to her downfall. Before her death, the two brothers were never truly close but after her death their bond was tighter than ever and Deion was prime supporter for Xavier in his wrestling career that started when he was 18 years old after he graduated from High School. Deion even managed to come to a few WWE shows to support his brother. In death, Josephine taught Xavier the biggest lesson of them all: You can't turn your back on family.

Xavier currently laid alone shirtless in his King Size bed in his 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom home on Miami Beach. He laid on his stomach with the whit sheets covering his body. He had clear almond-brown skin with the tattoo of "Chosen-1" across his upper back and shoulders. He had chocolate brown eyes with a well-kept beard. Currently in his sleep, he wore a red satin durag. He had tattoo sleeves on his arm with his most notable tattoo being the tiger on his left shoulder with his mothers name above it. In his ears, he had a pair of white gold diamond earrings. He had an oval-shaped face with a defined jawline with well-kept black eyebrows.

"Beep! Beep! Beep!" The alarm coming from his iPhone on his nightstand rang out making him groan as he reached out pressing the button stopping the alarm. He rolled over onto the side of the bed and rose up, feet touching the cold floors in his home. He sighed as he stood up stretching, popping his back as he looked out seeing the sunlight peeking through the tall windows of his bedroom. He grabbed his phone and walked to the sliding door, pulling it open to walk out onto his balcony looking out over the beach. The time was 7 so the sun was just now starting to rise which meant he had a little bit of time to enjoy the sunrise before he would have to go to the gym to get his workout in. At 36 years old, Xavier had managed to maintain the same build he had when he was in his 20s and a lot of that was due to dieting and working out. So in order to keep that look that he wanted, he had to workout.

He looked at the water seeing it crash up against the sande. It was peaceful and the fact that he was able to see things like that made Xavier happy about retirement. He was able to travel the world freely and do things that he wouldn't be able to do when he was in the WWE. There was a small part of him that did miss the WWE but that part of him was always gonna be there no matter what.

He turned around walking back into the house, closing the door after himself and made his way to the bathroom to shower and freshen up before he went to the gym.

Hours Later - Gym

Xavier stood in the gym wearing a pair of black shorts with black compression pants underneath with an all red pair of Nike Huaraches. He was currently on his 3rd set of Barbell Deadlifts. He was lifting his body weight making sure that he was still able to lift his own weight in his older age. Currently Xavier felt that he was in the best shape of his life. Hell if he wanted to, if he felt the need to, he could go back to the ring but that's only if he felt the need but he didn't. He accomplished what he wanted to accomplish and did everything he said he was gonna do. In his eyes, he had done it all.

He was well off in his workout with a pair of Beats over his ears. He didn't want to be bothered by that didn't stop the occasional fan from coming to him asking for a pic. At one point, it got so bad that the woman he had been dating at the point had gotten tired of it and added that to the list of reasons as to why she left him. Another being she was tired of sharing him with the road and the wrestling world but he told her when they started dating that his career came first but maybe she didn't believe him.

Xavier grunted picking the barbell for his final rep, feeling the burn in his arms. He picked it up holding it for a few seconds before he quickly placed it back on the mat. He stepped off to the side wiping the sweat away from his forehead. He had been in the gym for the past 2 hours. He felt a tap on his shoulder making him turn his head to see a blonde fan standing behind him. He turned around taking his Beats off letting them loosely hang around his neck.

"Are you Xavier Williams?" She asked with a phone in hand.

"Yeah, I am." He said, nodding with a smirk on his face.

"Do you mind getting a picture with me?"

"Sure." He said as he stood next to her putting his arm around her shoulders as she handed the phone to her friend. The blonde girl next to him smiled as the picture was snapped.

"Thank you. You were one of my favorites growing up." The girl said before walking away from him leaving him there with a smile on his face as he chuckled. In a way, that did make him feel old but it still made him feel good to be able to hear those words from a fan.

Hours Later - Williams Household

Dinner had been cooked, errands had been completed, laundry done and he had done some overal basic cleaning which meant it was now time for Survivor Series. The card was pretty decent, the overall basis was that it was Raw vs SmackDown and the match in his opinion that was going to be the best of the night was Rollins vs Nakamura or either Lesnar vs Bryan. There were somethings in the WWE that could change but with the way it was going right now, maybe it was for the best.

Xavier sat in his home on his couch without his durag. He had a low-cut with faded sides and back with waves up top. Xavier wore a pair of black Nike shorts with socks and white tank-top. He had his plate full with smoked salmon with a garlic butter sauce over whole grain rice with a side of grilled asparagus. He bowed his head getting ready to say grace but was interrupted when his phone rang. He sighed, reaching over to pick up his phone to see who was calling and frowned once he saw the name.

"I hope this isn't a call about coming back to the ring because the answer is no." Xavier said into the phone hearing a chuckle on the other line.

"No, it's not that. We got a new gig for you, if you're interested."

"Your dad's got you doing the recruiting calls now Shane." Shane and Xavier had a good relationship so much so that Shane was probably one of the few members of the WWE that could convince him to come back if he wanted to.

"Well, he wanted to get someone the fans like for this gig so I suggested you. Interested?"

"What's the gig?"

"On-Screen, you'd be the Executive Director of Professional Wrestling, that's the job title but off-screen, you'd be a member of our creative team and a member of the booking team."

"Woah, Vince allowing there to be other bookers in the company now?"

"He wants to try something new and Stephanie and I suggested it to try to take some of the workload off of him. But throw me a bone, what are you thinking?"

"I would be lying if I said that I didn't miss it. Traveling up and down the road, going around the world. If I were to come back it's strictly for this. I don't want anything to do with the ring. I'm serious Shane."

"Alright man, so it's official, you're in?"

"I'm in."

"Great, I'll tell dad. Enjoy the Pay-Per-View tonight, we'll talk tomorrow about how we'll approach your return."

"How'd you know I was watching the-" Xavier was saying but the phone hung up making him sigh shaking head leaving him thinking about what the hell he just agreed to. Earlier he was just thinking and bragging about he was enjoying retirement, enjoying his time away from WWE and here he was going back in less than 3 years of his retirement. When they say: Then, Now and Forever, they really meant it and that's how it felt being a member of WWE especially for Xavier.
