It's How You Play the Game
Disclaimer: I do not own RWBY or Kamen Rider
It had been a few days since the food fight in the cafeteria and Teams RWKBY and JNPR were relaxing in the Beacon Academy Library, with Kazi, Ruby, Yang, and Weiss sitting around a table playing Remnant: The Game, with Blake abstaining in order to do some light reading. The Teams were taking advantage of a lull in activity to do some relaxing, hoping to have some fun before their Professors went back to piling on their homework, and the game was starting to get a bit competitive.
"Now my dear sister," said Ruby as she jumped to her feet and pointed a finger at Yang with a confident look on her face, "prepare yourself, for my forces are attacking your Kingdom!"
"Bring it on," smirked Yang as she fanned out her cards in her hand with a quick flick of her wrist.
"I deploy my Atlesian Air Fleet," said Ruby as she slapped a card down on the table, "which means my forces get to fly over your Ursai and attack your walls directly!"
"You fiend!" exclaimed Yang in mock horror as Ruby moved her pieces on the board.
"And," added Ruby, "since Atlas is part of Mantle, my repair time is only one turn!"
"Pretty sneaky sis," said Yang as she held up a card of your own, "but you just invoked my Trap Card: Giant Nevermore!"
"No!" said Ruby aghast.
"That's right!" said Yang, "If I roll a seven or higher, a barrage of razor-sharp feathers will spell the end of your fleet!"
"Ah," countered Ruby, "but if you roll a six or lower, then the Nevermore will turn on your own forces!"
"Well then," said Yang as she cast the dice across the board, "we'll just have to see where the dice fall!"
"Noooo!" wailed Ruby dramatically as she saw the numbers on the dice while Yang rearranged the board, her Nevermore having decimated Ruby's forces, "My fearless soldiers!"
"Meh, they were probably all androids anyway," said Yang with a shrug.
"You will be avenged!" said Ruby dramatically as Yang pulled out another card.
"Not before I collect the spoils," said Yang, "and because of the Mistral Trade route, the rewards are double!"
"Bah!" scoffed Ruby angrily.
"Oh, and what's this?" smirked Yang as she drew yet another card, "The Smugglers of the Wind Path? Looks like I get to draw two cards!"
"Have you no heart?" pouted Ruby as she slumped on the table.
"Well Weiss," said Yang, "it's your turn now."
"I have…absolutely no idea what's going on," admitted Weiss as she looked down at her cards.
"Look it's easy," said Yang as she slid up next to Weiss, "you have Desert Scavenge and Resourceful Raider, so you can take Ruby's discarded Air Fleet and put it in your hand."
"I see," said Weiss thoughtfully.
"Don't forget," added Kazi, "you're playing as Vacuo which means that all Vacuo-based cards come with a bonus."
"Right," agreed Yang, "and since Vacuo warriors have an endurance against Natural-based hazards, you can use Sandstorm to disable my ground forces and simultaneously infiltrate my kingdom! Just know that I will not forget this declaration of war."
Kazi narrowed his eyes as Yang returned to her seat while Weiss looked at her cards inquisitively, "And that means…" asked the heiress.
"You're just three moves away from conquering Remnant," moaned Ruby, still upset at the loss of her forces.
Weiss was silent for a moment before she began to laugh maniacally, throwing her head back as she stood to her feet, and Kazi swore he heard thunder and saw flames dancing around the ice queen, "Yes! Fear the almighty power of my forces! Cower as they pillage your homes and weep as they take your children from your very arms!"
"Trap Card," said Yang, causing Weiss to stop abruptly and snap her head around at Yang.
The blond quickly rearranged the pieces on the board before smiling at Weiss, "Your armies have been destroyed."
"I hate this game of emotions we play!" cried Weiss as she slumped in her chair much like Ruby had.
"Stay strong, we'll get through this together!" said Ruby as she leapt into Weiss's arms.
"Shut up, don't touch me," sobbed Weiss dramatically as she returned Ruby's embrace.
"Well then," said Kazi, "looks like I'm left."
"Seems that way," said Yang as she smirked confidently at the Faunus.
"Don't think I'll go easy on you," said Kazi as he spread out his cards, "first, I play Bountiful Harvest, allowing me to draw three cards from my deck, and I follow through with Elder Death Stalker, allowing me to attack your forces."
"Ah, but my combined forces won't be taken down by one Death Stalker," said Yang.
"Right," said Kazi, "their combined points are too high…but since I'm playing as Vale, the natural defenses that the Kingdom has, gives my forces a Defense boost."
"And," he said with a smirk as he slapped another card down, "with Mountain Glenn Legacy, I can sacrifice three cards to give my Deathstalker an additional boost in Attack due to it being a Grimm Card."
"Ah ah ah," said Yang as she waved her finger tauntingly, "I still have my trap card, Rockslide. Your invading forces are buried under a mountain of boulders."
"Oh dear," said Kazi dramatically, "you've just invoked my trap card. Geist Possession!"
"No!" exclaimed Yang.
"Yes," countered Kazi, "all those boulders are now a massive Petra Gigas that also gets a boost, as it is a Grimm type unit. I believe that takes care of your ground defenses, leaving my army free to topple your Kingdom."
"And that, I believe, is the game," said Kazi with a smirk.
As Yang spluttered indignantly, Kazi heard footsteps and he turned to see the blond Faunus from a few days back, who's name they had found out was Sun Wukong walking up with a male teen with blue hair, obviously a friend of his.
"Sup losers," said the blond teen.
"Oh, hey Sun," said Ruby.
"Ruby," said Sun in greeting as he addressed the members of Team RWKBY, "Yang, Kazi, Blake, Ice Queen."
"Why does everyone keep calling me that?!" exclaimed Weiss.
"To be fair, you are a bit frosty," quipped Kazi.
"Quiet you," snapped said Ice Queen.
"So, what's up Sun?" asked Yang.
"Well I'm in Beacon for the Tournament and I thought I'd introduce you guys to my friend Neptune," said Sun, "Neptune, everyone. Everyone, Neptune."
"Nice to meet you," said Neptune with a smile.
"So, Neptune," said Weiss and Kazi raised an eyebrow as he noticed a dusting of pink on her normally pale cheeks, "where are you from?"
"Haven," said Neptune, "and I don't believe I've caught your name Snow Angel."
The tinge of pink grew more pronounced as Weiss toyed with her hair and looked away, "Um, I'm Weiss."
"A pleasure to meet you," said Neptune, causing Weiss to giggle uncharacteristically.
"So, you guys playing a game?" Sun asked before glancing at Blake, "Didn't peg you to be the type."
"I'm not," said Blake flatly, "I'm trying to study, but it seems to be getting increasingly difficult to do that here."
Closing her book with a snap, Blake rose to her feet and headed out of the library.
"Don't mind her," said Kazi, "she has things going on that are taking up a lot of her time."
"Right…" said Sun with a frown.
"In any case," said Kazi, "we're playing Remnant the Game. Want to sit in? I think the others would be pleased to have you replace me."
Sun chuckled at the pleading looks from the other members of Kazi's team and decided to have a seat, with Kazi pulling out his scroll as he glanced at the door Blake had left through, worried about her.

Later on, Blake was sitting in Team RWKBY's dorm reading through her notebook when the rest of her Team loudly entered, talking amongst themselves.
"We should have never let him play!" exclaimed Yang as she threw her hands up in the air in exasperation.
"You're just upset that you got thrashed. Twice," chuckled Kazi, "though to be fair, Neptune was surprisingly good."
Wanting some peace and quiet, Blake rose to her feet and gathered her notes, but as she reached for the handle of the door to their room, Weiss snapped around to face her.
"Stop right there!" she ordered as she pointed at Blake, causing the Faunus to freeze in place, "Blake, we need to talk."
"About what?" muttered Blake,
"Blake," said Weiss, "lately, every time we try to talk to you, you've been quiet, antisocial, and moody!"
"Have you met Blake?" muttered Yang to the side in a flat voice.
"To be fair, she's also been spending a lot of her free time going through her notebooks and checking the news on her Scroll for White Fang sightings," said Kazi.
"In any case," stressed Weiss, "there is obviously something that is bothering you. We're your Teammates and you made a promise to tell us if something was wrong."
"We want to help you," said Ruby, "but we can't if we don't know what's bothering you."
"I just can't understand why you're so calm and relaxed!" exclaimed Blake, "The White Fang is still out there, Torchwick is still out there. They have something planned, something big, and nobody seems to be doing anything about it!"
"Um, I've actually been working on a few projects about that," said Kazi, "granted none of them are ready yet, but when they are, they'll be a big help."
"Still," said Weiss, "we're only students. Are we really ready to fight the White Fang head on?"
"That's just it!" said Blake, "We don't have the time! The White Fang is moving as we speak and could strike at any time! We can't just wait with lives at stake until they think we're ready!"
"All right then," said Ruby as she pumped her fist, "all in favor of becoming the youngest Huntsman and Huntresses to single-handedly taking down a corrupt organization conspiring against the Kingdom of Vale... say aye."
"Yes! This is going to be epic!" said Yang.
"I suppose it could be fun," allowed Weiss.
"Nobody said 'Aye,'" pouted Ruby.
"Aye!"
"Thank you Kazi," said Ruby with a smile.
"Alright then," said Blake, "we're all in this together?"
"That's right," said Kazi, "and I even completed a new power-up just recently. Seems like a good time to test it."
"Ok Team RWKBY, let's get planning!" exclaimed Ruby before stopping short, "Crap! I forgot my boardgame back in the library!"
As the young leader of their Team shot out of their room in a burst of rose petals, the other members of Team RWKBY couldn't help but sigh.
"…has she always been like this?" Weiss asked Yang.
"Pretty much," confirmed Yang, "if it doesn't involve weapons or cookies, then she can be a bit scatterbrained."
"And we're trusting her to lead us into the fray against a terrorist organization that is cooperating with a known criminal?" confirmed Weiss.
"I have a bad feeling about this," groaned Blake.
Meanwhile, Kazi just chuckled as he turned to his desk and checked the status of the program he was coding on his laptop, and the four Gashats plugged into docks connected to said laptop.
