Chapter Six: Secrets Revealed

While Harry and Jaesa were gone Vette was pacing before a nervous Ginevra.

"I suppose I should start by teaching you the sith code that you will live by." Vette said coming to a halt. "Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The force shall free me. Every sith has a different interpretation of these words. Tonight, you will tell me your interpretation. You are dismissed, apprentice."

Meanwhile in Potter Manor

Harry had just finished conjuring the silence barrier when Bastila shot him down, saying "That is for you and Jaesa to figure out, not me." A chastised Harry went to say something when Bastila held up her hand. "I wasn't finished, while I will not help you plan, there is someone else you need to meet. Someone who has been waiting the last 8 years to reunite with you.

Harry looked up startled before quickly regaining a passive mask and asking, "Who?"

Bastila smirked, "Vivian, your twin sister."

"Bullshit." was Harry's emotionless response.

"It's done, but we may have a…" Jaesa started before she noticed the tension and asked "What's going on here?"

"She says I have a twin sister." Harry said pointing an accusing finger at Bastila.

"Are you forgetting we can prove or disprove this easily?" Jaesa asked putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. She knew that family was a bitter topic for him still.

"Fine, where is she?" Harry ground out.

"In her bedroom I expect." Bastila replied, before floating her way through the door.

"Bloody smart arse spirits." Jaesa muttered to herself.

"When do we need to arrive at this dentistry?" Harry asked as they followed her.

"A couple of hours, which should be enough time to deal with this however we're going to need to be on our guard." Jaesa said in a serious tone. Harry was going to make a witty comment on a normal person being a threat to them when Jaesa's next words brought him to a halt. "She had an imperial accent."

Harry stopped dead in his tracks. "Do you think we've been discovered?" he asked.

"I doubt it." Jaesa said, "But Darth Baras has a reputation for having spies in his enemies' ranks. If she is an imperial agent, then she no doubt recognized my Alderaanian accent."

"We can force her to take an oath before we kill her then." Harry said.

"And give up a useful asset?" Jaesa snorted, "We can bring her into the fold one way or another. Besides, we are jumping ahead here. We don't even know if she is an agent, but we should be careful nonetheless."

By this point, Bastila had stopped walking and was standing outside a door. "Vivian?" she called out.

A muffled "Come in." was heard from inside the room.

When Harry opened the door, he saw an eight-year-old with long black hair sitting in a chair. "Brother, you've finally come!" she exclaimed.

Harry stood there acting unimpressed and simply replied, "So I've been told."

Vivian looked down and muttered, "I should have known you wouldn't believe me." Speaking louder she said, "Allow me to take an oath that I am in fact your twin sister."

Jaesa took out her ever-present notepad and pen from an inner pocket of her robe and simply wrote:

The person giving the blood takes the following oath with her life force as payment if it is broken. The oath-taker is Harry James Potter's twin sister.

Handing Vivian, the paper and a vibroknife, while both she and Harry took out their lightsabers ready to end her life should she try any sudden moves. They needn't have bothered, however, as Vivian simply read through the oath and then cut her finger and smeared her blood on the paper.

Looking up she handed the paper back to Jaesa along with the vibroknife and asked "Satisfied?"

Harry, who for once was speechless, simply nodded and asked the one question that was on his mind, "How is this possible?"

"From what I read in their journals neither trusted Dumbledore but knew better than to challenge him outright. So, they suppressed all knowledge of me from the outside world once I was born. Only two people knew of my birth. The nurse who birthed us, and Professor McGonagall when she secretly entered me into the school on behalf of my parents. Both were wiped of their memories after they completed their tasks.

"So, your parents used you as an insurance policy to continue the family line if everyone died. Smart, heartless, but smart." Jaesa said with a cruel, bitter smile reflecting on her former life.

"I wouldn't say they were heartless, they did leave a house-elf to look after me. Although, unbeknownst to them Bastila started teaching me about what she knew of the sith once I was old enough to understand. I've managed to do a fair amount with the force but I've had no one to fight against, so I imagine my combat skills are extremely lacking, especially since I accidentally killed the house-elf." Vivian said looking both amused and annoyed at the force spirit.

"Well, it isn't exactly easy teaching someone to fight as a spirit." Bastila shot back.

"How did you accidentally kill the house-elf?" Jaesa asked somewhat amused.

"Hey, I was only five at the time!" Vivian retorted, "It simply got in the way of my lightning and got sent flying out a window."

"So, we are now going to have four sith inside Hogwarts from the start?" Harry said trying to get things back on track.

"Yep." Jaesa said with a smile, "Although you will still be bound to our empire by the blood oath we use, Vivian, though it will be slightly different as you will be the primary heir to the empire should both of us fall." She then pulled out one of the standard oaths she always carried with her and simply rewrote the part about succession to the throne.

Vivian had just sworn the blood oath when Harry whispered in Jaesa's ear "I want her as my apprentice." Jaesa nodded with a smirk.

"Now Harry and I need to return to our ship." Jaesa said.

"Why?" Vivian asked, a little put out that they were leaving so soon.

"Because we are resurrecting your carer." Jaesa said in reply.

"And who are you?" Vivian asked looking Jaesa over.

"She is Jaesa Potter, your sister-in-law." Harry said.

"But how?" Vivian sputtered out.

"Not now." Jaesa said, "Come along we can't afford to be late."

"We can discuss things later, sis." Harry said testing the last word as they exited the manor and entered their ship.

Almost immediately they were met by Vette's red blade blocking their path, before kneeling in front of Harry and Jaesa. As Jaesa went to the cockpit to take them closer to the dentist's practice, Harry told Vette to rise.

"How goes the training of young Ginevra?" Harry asked.

"I've given her the same task I was given when I started training with the deadline of tonight." Vette said, before glancing at Vivian and Bastila.

"Allow me to introduce you to a fellow sith Vette, Bastila Shan." Harry said nodding at the spirit who inclined her head.

"And the girl?" Vette questioned sensing her power.

"My sister, Vivian." Harry introduced and then started laughing as the thrusters kicked in causing Vivian to stumble, unused to a ship's movement.

"Bloody hell you Potters certainly are a powerful family." Vette gasped in shock.

"She's what Harry's power level was before we merged our power in the soul bond." Jaesa said smirking at Vette's gobsmacked look.

30 Minutes Later

"We're coming up on the drop zone." Vette reported from the cockpit with Vivian sitting next to her in the cockpit pouting that she was being left behind.

"Keep the ship cloaked, we'll signal you when we're ready for pickup." Jaesa, now looking like she had originally, called before she and Harry jumped from the ramp, Bastila's spirit following invisible to those without the force.

Walking towards the bus stop they saw that the correct bus was already there and got on. A simple mind trick later and the entire bus thought they had paid their fare and they had a ticket each. Sitting next to the emergency exit they waited until Vette notified them that their stop was coming up with Jaesa pressing the stop button and getting off. They set off at a brisk pace and made good timing to the dentistry, a small remote building.

Upon reaching the dentistry Jaesa reached out with the force and, detecting a young girl in one of the rooms above the dentistry, ruffled Harry's hair letting him know that their target was in the building. Pushing the door open a woman with dark brown hair and light blue eyes greeted them.

"Mrs. Sinclair?" she asked.

"Salina, please." Jaesa replied, using the alias she had come up with, "Go on Adrian, there's no reason to be nervous." Jaesa said to Harry passing another message that her suspicions had been confirmed and they should proceed with the secondary plan.

"But I don't want to." Harry replied.

"I'll come with you sweetheart, come on." Jaesa replied, both playing their parts of mother and son.

"This way." the dentist said leading them into a room and holding the door open. Both noticed the way the dentist slipped behind the door and therefore were not surprised when she pulled a blaster pistol on them as soon as they were in her sight causing them to dive in opposite directions the moment it became visible. Both had lightsabers drawn deflecting her shots the moment they came up.

"Give it up!" Jaesa hissed, "While you may prove useful to us, neither of us have any qualms killing you if you prove difficult."

"Why should I sith?" the dentist asked, "You'll only force me under that mind control drug."

"You don't work for Baras or the empire?" Harry enquired.

"I knew as soon as I defeated Darth Jaedus that I would be deemed a threat by the dark council." the dentist replied figuring the only way to stay alive right now was to keep talking.

"So you're the infamous cipher nine." Jaesa stated motioning for Harry to retrieve the girl before asking, "And the one that travelled with you, where is she?"

"Formerly, I go by Renna Granger now. As for Kaliyo, she was a liability so I killed her." the now identified Renna said simply, "How did you know?"

"Nomen Karr, my former master, often cursed your name, he said that you would have had a promising career in the Republic SIS." Jaesa said as Harry forced the girl down the stairs, "You have two options. Work for us or..."

"Or what you will kill the girl?" she interrupted sneering at the two sith, "She's not even mine. I killed her parents and took her as a cover."

Seeing the girl whimper at this, Harry replied, "What is it going to be?"

"Why would I go back to being a puppet for the sith?" Renna sneered.

"Oh, my dear, we aren't from that empire." Jaesa replied, "We represent a new sith empire one that while the sith will be at the top of the chain, they will not be the only ones. The navy, army, and intelligence services will have their own seats on the dark council."

"I have no desire to be political." Renna snorted before asking, "But my question to you is are you going to be going after the sith empire as well as the Republic?"

"Both will be crushed in due course." Jaesa said smiling sinisterly.

"Then I will join you." Renna said.

After she surrendered her weapons and had been searched Jaesa laid out the contract for her. Having read the contract Harry handed her a small knife. Seeing the confused look on her face Harry said cruelly, "You sign the contract with your blood, and before you think that because you aren't force-sensitive so it won't work on you, we already tested it on someone just like you who bullied me in school. Put simply, the contract caused the boy to die painfully as his life force was sucked out of him."

Once it was signed Harry looked over at Bastila and asked "What do you need for the ritual?"

Renna looked on slightly bemused as Harry seemingly talked to thin air.

"Place my anchor in front of her. I need to use the force on her, it will just take a few minutes." Bastila replied as she started worming her essence into the girl's body causing her to scream and cry in agony as her skin and muscles started to shift, her hair becoming straighter, and her eyes changing from brown to blue. While this was happening Renna watched with a passively curious look on her face.

When it was finished Bastila did some simple stretches as she exhaled "Ah much better, after centuries of waiting I can finally move physically again."

Immediately Harry and Jaesa held her at lightsaber point while tossing a contract on the table, not trusting her until she swore the oath. They needn't have bothered as she simply summoned the knife from the table and slit her finger after reading the contract sealing it in her blood.

"Do you have any personal items you wish to collect?" Jaesa asked, turning to Renna who gave her a questioning look to which Jaesa responded, "We are destroying this building so that it will seem like both you and your daughter died. The former imperial agent simply nodded and headed upstairs. Thirty minutes later Renna came down carrying a cardboard box. After repeating this three more times she announced she was ready.

Stepping out of the house Jaesa signaled for Vette to come to the dentistry. The three sith levitated Renna and her items aboard the ship, before jumping onboard themselves. It wasn't long after the ramp was up that the building was blown to pieces leaving a crater. Walking into the room beside Bastila she saw Harry sitting with Vivian. Renna had gone to the bridge to witness the destruction of her former home. While she knew that Harry and Vivian needed time to reconnect, there were still things that needed to be done. Sighing to herself she walked into the bridge and ordered Vette to take them back to the island.

Once they touched down outside the manor Jaesa asked Bastila to show Ginevra to a bedroom and then meet the rest of them in the library. When everyone was situated around the large table Jaesa went to speak when Vivian beat her to it.

"Who's she and what's she doing here?" she asked, pointing at Renna.

"Her name is Renna, and until we have an official minister of intelligence she will be representing that organization." Jaesa replied.

"I'm assuming you didn't bring us all here just for a meet and greet." Renna said dismissively as if Vivian's comments didn't affect her one way or another.

Jaesa shook her head, "From what Harry and I have researched regarding Hogwarts, children are registered at birth by their magical signature. However, Bastila doesn't have the same signature as the child she used in the ritual."

"So I need to be enrolled there and that means we are moving out of the shadows." Bastila finished thinking quickly, "We don't have much time either, as they close it off three years before the first year starts."

"Vette, Renna, I want you two to work on fortifying this island. Use the ship's scanners to do a complete analysis of this island." Harry said speaking up, "I'm sure you both have different viewpoints on how this island could be attacked, so do try not to kill each other."

"So tomorrow we floo over to Hogwarts?" Bastila asked.

Seeing that the only one not looking confused was Vivian caused Bastila to pinch her nose in frustration. "Are you telling me that for all the research you've done on this world you never looked into so-called magical transportation?"

"It never even occurred to us that they would have separate transportation methods." Vette said.

Sighing Bastila, with the occasional input from Vivian, filled in the rest of the group on so-called magical transportation.

When the meeting finally broke up Vette asked Bastila to show her to Ginevra's room. As they moved through the halls Bastila asked "Forgive me if this comes across as rude, but how did you become a sith? In my time twi'lek females were used almost exclusively as slaves."

Vette snorted in disgust, "That hasn't changed in the three hundred years since your departure. I was a slave of the sith lord Dannath."

"Oh, a sith slave that became sith? This I have to hear." Bastila said.

"Oh, there's more to it than that." Vette replied stopping and leaning against a wall. "When I was a slave I wasn't force-sensitive. When Jaesa and Harry corrupted their soul bond there was some unknown entity embedded inside Harry who absorbed it adding to their power. But from what we were able to piece together there was residue left over from the absorption increasing my connection to the force to that of a normal sith. Now if you'll excuse me I need to check on my apprentice and continue to break her of the notion that magic is all-powerful."

"You have given me much to think on." Bastila said nodding, "Your apprentice is three doors down on the right. I look forward to seeing what you and the agent come up with in terms of defences. A word of advice though, don't let your scorn of what they call magic cause you to ignore it. In combat, it isn't very useful true, but in defence, and everyday life from what I have seen it can indeed be useful."

"Oh on that we agree, but I need to make sure she understands that as well as we do." Vette replied walking down the hall. Quietly opening the door, Vette surveyed her apprentice from the door.

"I know you're there master." Ginevra said from where she was lying on the bed with her eyes closed.

"Your time is up apprentice." Vette said pulling over a chair and sitting down in front of her as she sat up swinging her legs over the edge, "Remember there is no wrong answer in your interpretation, every sith's interpretation is different and will help me guide your training. It is a methodology millennia old. Now I will recite the six lines of the sith code and for each line, you will fill it in and tell me your interpretation of that line."

"I'm ready master, but may I make a request?" Ginevra asked screwing up her courage.

"You may, but I won't necessarily grant it." Vette replied.

"If you refer to me can you call me Ginny instead of Ginevra? I hate the name." Ginevra asked.

"I don't see why not, Ginevra." Vette teased, "Now Ginny the first line, peace is a lie…"

"There is only passion." Ginny replied, "To me, it means that I must always be on the lookout for deception. My anger and need for revenge against my former family is my passion."

Vette nodded, her answers were logical with her upbringing, continuing she said, "Through passion…"

"I gain strength." Ginny finished, "For me the greatest strength is information. If I had known about the contract I would have been more on my guard against my so-called family."

"Through strength…" Vette said.

"I gain power." Ginny answered, "Deception of my own gives me power over others."

"Through power…" Vette started.

"I gain victory." was Ginny's answer, "My victory is gained through defeating my enemies when they didn't know I was a threat."

"Not always possible, but certainly a thrill when it is pulled off." Vette mused, "Through victory…"

"My chains are broken." Ginny said, "My chains are my potential slavery, by becoming sith I destroy those chains."

Vette smiled and mused, "Just like me."

"Master?" Ginny asked.

"I was once a slave, apprentice, and when I became a sith those chains weakened and were broken when I was no longer an apprentice." Vette answered knowing the question in her apprentice's mind, "And the last line?"

"The force shall free me." Ginny replied, "The force shall free me from servitude."

"Not quite. Even if you ascend to the dark council, the step just before the emperor and empress, you are still serving the empire, but yes, you do have a lot more freedom."

A/N: Next time Hogwarts sees sith enter for the first time as Bastila is enrolled, defences begin being planned, and Ginny's training begins.
