She had been sitting down for breakfast when her mami's phone started to alert her to several new message alerts. She kept glancing at her mother nervously, "are⦠are you going to look at that?"
"In a bit mija, I thought we could enjoy our breakfast before your sister gives me another heart attack." Camila smirks at her own joke. As they were finishing up a blue blur appeared out of nowhere knocking the young girl down. "MIJA!"
There standing over her with a cloak made of witch's wool was none other than Luz Noceda, her 'sister.' As she stared down the end of a palismanless staff, her mami was saying something and Luz was responding but she couldn't hear anything but the blood rushing to her ears.
Then movement on top of Luz's head drew her attention as the cat ears of her hoodie twitched. "Wait twitched," she couldn't help but think. The oddest thing happened as an otter with cat ears sat up on Luz's hair. "Did it make a burrow on her head?" was the thought she had before exclaiming with a squeal. "Una nutria con un lado oscuro!"
As said otter spread it's owl wings, she missed the smirk on Luz's face, when it landed next to her it started licking her face. This snapped her out of her fear induced trance causing her to focus into the conversation as Luz removed the staff from her face and turned to look down the hall. "Told ya she'd pass the test!"
"Yeah, yeah, you were right, your doppelganger isn't evil," said the enigmatic woman with the chromatic eyes and wild gray hair.
"Mija, what is going on?"
"Well, we had to be certain so we gave her the tuning test." Luz explained to her mami.
"The tuning test?" asked a confused Camila.
"Nothing that isn't absolutely evil, can resist something so otterly adorable," Luz exclaimed, as both Eda and Camila groaned at the pun, Luz and her 'sister' laughed.
