This is where the stuff from the actual source material sets in. You thought the entire story was going to be just Rosie, Tom, Jackson, and Alexa snarking about high school films? TOO BAD, SAVE-UMS TIME.

It was another morning. This one was not as mundane as the previous morning, because here is where the conflict sets in.
Rosie woke up in a very strange place. It was dark, with bizarre technology adorning every wall. It looked like something out of a bad science fiction film. Surrounding her were Tom, Jackson, her baby brother Ben, Alexa, and…who's that other kid? Oh yeah, Alexa's brother Max.
Rosie was very confused, although realistically she would be in a complete panic waking up somewhere that was not her house. That usually means you've been kidnapped. She picked up Ben off the floor, both because we want to make you think Ben is an important character (he's not) and because it's generally a bad idea to leave a baby laying on the floor unattended next to four sleeping bodies that could crush him. Or her. Actually, this baby is male, so yeah, him.
At this point, Tom woke up. "Where in God's name are we?" He asked in an unrealistically alert tone for someone who has been awake for all of thirty seconds.
"I don't know," said Rosie, "but it looks like we've jumped from a bad high school film to a bad sci-fi film."
"Film," said Ben, because in media babies can only communicate through repeating random words that older characters say.
"Why am I outside?" Max asked. He was lying on his back looking at the ceiling.
"We're inside," said Alexa, sitting up. "It appears that we're in some sort of control room."
"Hey, why am I in purple?" Jackson was looking down at himself. Sure enough, everyone's outer clothing had been miraculously changed. "Did someone change our clothes in our sleep?"
"I'm pretty sure that's illegal," said Tom.
"Something's on the wall," said Rosie, staring at a series of photos on the wall. She stood up and approached them to get a closer look. They were pictures of them. Rosie looked over a photo of herself in a purple frame with a gold plate with a word on it: "JAZZI".
"My name's not Jazzi," said Rosie. "Or Jasmine, or anything that even remotely sounds similar."
Alexa came up behind her. "This is creepy," she said, although a much better word would be "stalker-ish". She looked to her right and saw a photo of herself. It was also framed and plated; hers was yellow and the plate read "NOODLE".
"Noodle?..."
Max laughed at his sister, as twelve-year-old boys do. "You're named after pasta!"
"Yeah, well you're up here too, and yours says "Foo", and that's not even a word, so kiss my-"
Rosie elbowed Alexa. "This is a kid's film, you can't swear." Alexa grumbled.
Jackson and Tom got up to see what theirs said. "'Custard'. Well, will ya look at that. I'm named after a dessert that no one likes."
"'Ka-Chung'? Is that 'Ka-Chow', but…weird?" Tom was confused by the bizarre name listed on his frame.
"Okay, I've figured this out. We've become superheroes, and all this stuff is part of our secret identities." Rosie smiled, proud that she has taken the time beforehand to master the power of knowing stuff purely through plot convenience.
"Yeah, and a bang-up job they did," said Jackson. "This place is creepy and all of our superhero names suck."
"It's not that bad." Rosie shrugged.
"Really?" Alexa gave Rosie a "you have got to be kidding me" look. "I'm wearing a flight jacket with yoga pants and my name is after pasta."
Before Rosie could respond, the big screen in front of them began blaring, thus giving this chapter the perfect cliffhanger to end on.

I don't want to do an outro and you can't make me.
