"Someone's calling us on the screen," said Alexa, simultaneously picking up where the previous chapter left off and referencing a common phrase from the original cartoon.
"No, duh," said Jackson. "How do you turn this thing on?"
"I think with this," said Rosie, picking up a remote off of the floor. "Guessing the green button means 'on'." She pressed the green button, and the screen turned on and showed a world map (why am I explaining this, if you're at all familiar with the Save-Ums, you know how this bit goes).
"Hello, you've reached…us," said Rosie. "Who is this?"
The screen faded from the world map to a screen view of two monkeys on an island.
"Hi, Save-Ums. It's us, Oscar and Tina," said the monkey with glasses. "You guys look…different."
"Yeah, I think your regular guys are out right now…" Rosie looked sheepish.
"What do you need help with?" Alexa asked.
"We lost our ball in the jungle," said Tina, the monkey without glasses. "We need your help to find it. Us two small monkeys can't do it alone."
Jackson shrugged. "Sounds simple enough. We'll be there soon. We've got enough brains to fix your problem."
"Believe it!" Both monkeys chirped. Rosie scanned the remote, and pressed the red button to turn the screen off.
"Okay, so how are we supposed to get to this island?" Jackson cocked his head.
Tom pulled up a blueprint-esque view of a waterski. "I bet this can get you there."
"Okay," said Jackson. "We've got work to do. Come on, Alexa."
"Can I come?" Max asked.
"Might as well," said Jackson, and he, Alexa, and Max stepped up onto the launch platforms. But nothing happened.
"These are voice-activated, aren't they?" Alexa asked.
"Guess we're gonna have to figure out the password," said Jackson.
"One of those monkeys said something about being small," said Rosie. "The password probably has something to do with that."
"And they ended with 'believe it'," said Tom. "So the password is a snappy phrase about being small, followed by 'believe it'."
"Yeah," said Jackson. "It sure is convenient that we left the screen on long enough to hear that."
Jackson and Alexa began brainstorming ideas.
"Tiny is mighty!"
"It's great being small!"
"Mighty and miniscule!"
"Little heroes, big adventure!"
"Small is great!"
The lever loosened.
"Close!" Rosie exclaimed. "It's something like that."
"Okay, uh, small is amazing!"
"Small is beautiful!"
"Small is wonderful!"
"Small is strong!"
Jackson and Alexa both snapped their fingers and looked at each other. "Small is powerful!"
"Believe it!" Rosie pushed the lever down. The tubes closed off.
"Uh, aren't we supposed to g-" Before Alexa could finish, the floor slid out beneath her feet, sending her, Jackson, and Max careening down three separate slides.
"Yeah!"
"Woo!"
"This is highly inaccurate to the source materiaaaaaaaaaal!"
Outside, Jackson and Alexa mounted the waterski. They pulled on their helmets, clicked on their seatbelts, and set the waterski into drive mode.
"Ready to ride, Alexa?" Jackson asked.
"Ready as I'm gonna be," said Alexa.
Jackson revved the handles, and the waterski took off down the slide onto the ocean.
"This is the coolest thing I've ever done!" Jackson yelled, setting on course for their destination. Not long behind them, Max was flying awkwardly, trying to get used to operating a jetpack.

Soon enough, Jackson and Alexa arrived on the shore of the island.
"That was awesome," said Jackson, still riding off the high of driving a waterski.
"I pity those poor people who are gonna have to drive on the same roads as you," griped an exasperated Alexa as she pulled her helmet off. "Now where's Max?"
As soon as she asked, Max flew overhead and crashed into a tree, adding some amusing-if-unnecessary comic relief to the scene.
"Max, get down from there," said Alexa, unamused and of the opinion that the crashing scene was unnecessary.
Oscar and Tina came up to them. "You're here!"
"Yup, we are," said Jackson. "Now where's that ball?"
"In there somewhere," said Tina, pointing towards at an explosion of greenery surrounding a large volcano with a gorilla's face carved into it.
"Alright, let's go," said Jackson, leading Max, Alexa, Oscar, and Tina into the jungle.
"It would help to know the colour of the ball," said Alexa. "That would give us something to gravitate towards."
"It was a dark blue," said Oscar, adjusting his glasses.
Alexa nodded, and looked up to the trees for a fleck of dark blue.
Just then, a rumble rippled below their feet, throwing them off balance.
"What was that?" Jackson asked.
"Oh, no," said Tina, "the volcano's going to erupt soon! We have to find that ball fast!"
"I found it!" Max shouted from above the treetops. He dropped the ball down to the monkeys.
Sure enough, the volcano began to erupt at a much faster pace than what is realistic. Everything suddenly slowed down for the obligatory slo-mo scene, as Jackson, Alexa, Oscar, and Tina turned to hightail it outta there. Picking up back to regular speed, they all escaped the jungle.
"I was definitely not expecting that," said Alexa.
"No one was," said Max. "At least we found the ball first."
The monkeys chattered. "Thanks, Save-Ums!"
"It was nothing," grinned Jackson. He and Alexa returned to the waterski, while Max activated his jetpack. They took off, but instead of going straight up, Jackson decided to explore the surrounding area. He and Alexa passed by a tall, purple mountain.
"You think that's a volcano, too?" Alexa asked.
"It can't be," said Jackson. "There's no opening."
In the distance, there was a little snowy land. "Aw, look at that cute little igloo! I bet that place is gonna be important later," cooed Alexa.
Finally, the three returned to the base and parked the waterski.
"So, how did it go?" Rosie asked when they got back up to the main area.
"We almost got killed by a volcano," said Jackson nonchalantly.
"Okay, but did you find the ball?" Tom asked, paying no mind to the horrifying info Jackson had just given him.
"Yeah," said Max.
"Okay, that's good. Mission accomplished." Tom grinned.
