A few hours later Vic found herself moved to the delivery room and ready to push with an OR on standby in case something went wrong, but it was doubtful anything would. Luke coached her through her contractions and held her hand.

"Alright Vic, are you ready for this?" Dr. Broderick asked as she pulled on her gloves. Vic nodded through gritted teeth.

"Let's get me my babies in my arms, doc." She replied.

"Okay, on the next contraction push for ten seconds and then stop to catch your breath." Vic did just that twenty seconds later.

After another twelve rounds of this a cry blasted through the room and their beautiful baby boy was placed on his mother's chest. Vic immediately cradled him, and Luke placed his hand on Vic's they look into each other's tear-filled eyes and smiled.

Soon their joy was interrupted by their daughter trying to join them. The nurse took Sebastian to the incubators and cleaned him off and Dr. Karev started to check him over and make sure he was healthy. Meanwhile, Vic managed to deliver Violet in only five pushes and once again they enjoyed the moment of pure joy with their beautiful girl.

"Alright, baby boy is healthy despite being premature." Dr. Karev said as he swapped the twins and begin to clean and examine Violet carefully. He was pleased to find that she was equally healthy and placed her in her daddy's arms.

The staff cleared themselves out after cleaning up and stitching the minor tearing Vic had and allowed them to bond with their newborn children. After half an hour they switched and then spent another half hour just looking at and holding their little ones.

There was a knock at the door and Luke told them to come in and they were immediately joined by their family who swarmed them to get a look at the twins. Jennifer helped Lila onto the end of the bed and Vic placed Violet in her arms. Luke passed Sebastian to his mother and kissed Vic on the cheek.

"Aunt Vic, am I holding her, right?" Lila asked and Vic nodded.

"Yep. Just make sure you keep her neck and head supported." Sebastian started to fuss as he was passed to Travis and once he was snuggled against his uncle and godfather, he soothed himself.

"Uncle Travis is already his favorite." Travis beamed.

"Pretty sure mommy will be his favorite by the time he gets hungry." Vic teased.

"Okay but I will be the one to help him down the pole for the first time."

"Trav you wouldn't dare take that joy away from me." Vic replied.

"Try me." He grinned and passed Sebastian to Jack as Jennifer took Violet from Lila. Jack smiled and rocked Sebastian but passed him off quickly to Dean.

"He's so tiny I thought I would break him." He says to a confused Vic who'd noticed the handoff.

"Oh please if I can do it without breaking him so can you." Miller quips.

"Then give him back." Jack replied.

"Enough. We are not arguing over my son or who can or can't break him. Give him here." Vic held her arms out for him and when he was in her arms she smiled.

"Thank you. No more arguing over my kids." Once she knew Sebastian was okay, she handed him to Maya and Jennifer passed Violet to Andy.

"They are pretty tiny." Andy said as she let Violet wrap her fist around her index finger.

"And adorable." Maya added.

Soon everyone had a chance to hold each of the twins and decided to give the new parents time alone with the babies once they started to get hungry and fuss. Luke helped Vic get the nursing pillow in place and the twins nursed at the same time and soon fell asleep. Luke laid them in the plastic bassinets on either side of the bed and laid next to Vic.

"Sleep, I'll keep watch love." He whispered and she curled into him and smiled as she let herself fall asleep.

As Vic slept Luke texted Deb and explained that for the next month he was officially on leave as Vic had gone into labor and had the twins. She congratulated them, asked for pictures and told him that she would report his start of leave to HR and take over his duties until he returned as was decided by the chiefs and HR.

Luke smiled and took a picture of either of the babies and sent them to her.

"Sebastian Michael Ripley; 5lbs, 7oz, and 17 inches. Violet Claire Ripley 5lbs, 3oz, and 17 inches long." Violet woke and began to squirm and fuss. He picked her up and realized that she needed to be changed and he grabbed what he would need and sang to her softly has he changed her to soothe her and keep her from waking her brother or Vic.

"It's alright Violet. Daddy has you all taken care of my little princess." He finished changing her, threw the dirty diaper in the trash and sat with her in the provided rocking chair. He stared down into her big blue eyes. She was the darker skinned of the two with her mother's dark and tight curls while her brother was fairer skinned with his dad's eyes and looser, lighter colored waves.

"You really are a beautiful spitting image of your mother, my angel. Daddy promises to always fight his hardest to come home to you guys. Nothing can get in between me and you or your brother." He cooed as he rocked her back to sleep. When she fell asleep on his chest, he decided he wanted just a few more minutes with his daughter and ended up falling asleep with her in his arms.

When he woke, he noticed Vic was holding and rocking a now wide-awake Sebastian.

"Hey you." He smiled as he carefully and skillfully moved over to them.

"Hey. She okay?"

"Yeah, she woke up a while ago right after you fell asleep and needed a change; we fell asleep in the rocker together when I was trying to get her back to sleep. Sebastian?"

"He woke up a few minutes ago also needing a change but apparently does not want to go back to sleep. It's alright though, I could stare into these eyes all day, every day."
