A big Thank you to everyone for your support. Please note that I only remember one or two teacher's names from the books/movies. They're not heavy featured so I came up with my own. Please Enjoy and Review...

"Nervous?" I asked as we piled into the truck the next day.

Bella hesitated before answering "I'm honestly trying not to be. I just hope we can try to blend in like at our old school,"

Fat chance of that, I thought to myself. Forks had many good qualities but, it was also a small town. And the worse thing about small towns is the Gossip Chain. Granted, I hadn't socialized much with the locals besides the Police Department because of Dad's job and our surrogate family in La Push. I knew we were in for an "interesting" Welcome once we pulled into the parking lot, especially in this truck. Not that there was anything physically wrong with it, other than it looked like it belonged in an earlier decade.

"Will this help?" I offered taking off the necklace I was wearing and placing it over her head.

My sister's eyes widened, "The lifeboat"? But it's yours?! I-! I got it for you" Bella stammered as I smiled softly, "Think of it as a loan until the end of the day. You sound like you need it more than I do"

"But I can't take this,"

"Yes, you can. Remember why you gave me this in the first place? What it's supposed to symbolize?"

She let out a shaky breath before slowly nodding. "Thanks Holly," tucking it under her shirt.

"No problem," I said as she finally put the truck in reverse as we backed out of the driveway and started down the road.

My thoughts drifted back to when she gave me that necklace. As I got older, (starting around maybe nine or ten?) and the more time I spent around Dad, the harder it was for me to go back to Renee and the crazy lifestyle we lived. She never knew, but so many nights I just cried myself to sleep. I should've known though that I couldn't hide my tears from Bella. She heard and saw everything.

On the third night after I came "home." She came into my room, wanting to know what was going on. I finally broken down and told her that I didn't like living with Mom. She was as unpredictable as the Sea and felt like I was drowning constantly with nothing solid to hold on to and keep me afloat. My sister had then frowned as she left the room. Despite my attempts to tell her sorry, and that I shouldn't have said anything.

Two nights later however, she re-entered my room, carrying a small bag. Earlier that day Renee and her had visited a small homemade arts and crafts store. (Mom, in another one of her crazed new hobby phases wanted to try making beaded jewelry.) While there Bella had seen something that she thought I might like. It was made by one of local artist and wasn't expensive. She hoped it would help me. Curious, I had opened the bag and out popped this simple looped leather strap with a wooden carving of a lifeboat in the middle.

My sister smiled as she put it on me. "Now you have something to keep you afloat in this Sea when things get to be too much. I'm here, Holly. I'm always here and I always will be…"

The sound of the engine sputtering as it shut off brought me back to the present. We were here, in the school parking lot. I grabbed her hand and gave an assuring squeeze before exiting. People were staring at us. As Bella flinched and tried to keep her head down. I, on the other hand, just put my hood up and walked straight ahead to the main building, ignoring people that I passed by on my way to the main office.

"Holly Swan?" I asked the lady behind the desk as I took off my hood.

"Miss Swan?" she repeated, confirming the information on her computer before printing it out. "Here you go, my name is Mrs. Cope. I hope you'll find all you need, including your class schedule and a map of the campus. Or you can just ask anyone of your fellow students. I'm sure they would love to help you,"

Sure they would, I thought to myself as I caught a glimpse of my poor sister being swarmed by the student body through the window. Good thing she has the lifeboat, she's going to need it.

I replaced my hood as I left, following the map to my first class. Thankfully it was English and people were already starting to arrive so I just slipped into a desk in the back row behind a short dark haired big guy that looked like he belonged on the Football team from the muscles he had on him. I didn't say anything, but as soon as I sat down, he turned in his chair to face me. It was then that I saw his abnormal pale skin and handsome butterscotch eyes.

"What?" I whispered to him, have had enough of this staring contest. "It's not like there are any assigned seats with people's names on them. Either say something or go back to ignoring me. Please just pick one"

The big guy smirked, and turned his back to me but not before whispering back "Weird little human,"

"Oh Honey, you don't even know the half of it." I breathed, finding the book we were studying under the chair and flipping through it. When the teacher did attendance and called out my name, I simply answered "Present.

"Would you please stand up Miss Swan and tell us something about yourself? He replied.

I shook my head, "Not really, Mr. Birdy. I'm a person who doesn't like the spotlight. But if you must know I'm here and I'm glad to be living with my dad again. End of Story"

The boy in front of me snickered, "Something amusing Mr. Cullen?" our teacher asked, his attention now focused on him.

"Nothing Sir," he replied before winking at me, I just rolled my eyes which led to more soft snickers. I wasn't really offended, you kind of needed a sense of humor to survive high school.

Thankfully the rest of the period passed by quickly, when the bell rang, I took out my schedule to see where I needed to go next. Art. As I took a turn down the hallway, I felt someone lightly grab my shoulder from behind. "Not that way Little Spark. Ms. Bingum's Art Classroom is in the other direction, about two doors down." I turned around and saw it was the big guy from earlier, "Mr. Cullen?"

"You're sure? I asked as other students passed us.

He nodded, "My-Rose has the same class this period."

"Thanks," I said, shifting my backpack over my shoulder. "I'm Holly,"

"I know," he grinned. "I'm Emmett" he held out his hand, which I shook despite the coldness of it. Before suddenly, jumping and pulling away. "What is it?" he asked, concerned but I just attempted to shake it off.

"It's nothing, I just forget sometimes how close to nature's animal kingdom Forks really is. I thought I heard a bear, for a moment. It's probably just scavenging, having woke up from hibernation. Anyway, I'd better get to class. See you around Emmett" I said, turning tail and now following his directions. Still feeling his eyes on me until I opened the door and disappeared into the new room.

Only to bump into a tall blond girl who growled at me to "Watch where I was going."

"Sorry," I said bending down to pick up the books she dropped. At the same time she did, causing our heads and hands to clash as she shoved me out of the way, hurting my shoulder.

"I don't need your help!" she snarled.

"Ms. Hale? Is there a problem?" questioned the teacher, coming over.

"No Ma'am,"

The adult raised an eyebrow, "What was that?"

"No Ms. Bingum," said "Ms. Hale", who I could tell was resisting the urge to roll her eyes.

"Good. Then may I suggest that you help Ms. Swan off the floor and escort her nicely to an open chair," our teacher responded with authority.

"No, no. That's alright, Ms. Bingum. She doesn't have to. Look, I'm already on my feet." I said getting up.

"So you are, Ms. Swan." she nodded, before asking. "Are you sure you're alright?"

"Yes, I'm fine" I confirmed, wanting the attention off me.

"Okay, go and find a seat anywhere," said Ms. Bingum before turning her gaze to Ms. Hale. "I do not tolerate bullying in my class, Rosalie. She was just trying to help you."

"I didn't need her help," she repeated, though not as angry but still defiant.

"Then you should have told her nicely instead of shoving her out of the way. This is your first and only warning Rosalie. Next time this happens with another student. That's Detention. Now take your seat"

"Yes Ms. Bingum," said the blond, but you could tell it was forced.

As I sat down at an open table. I could still feel and move my shoulder. So, nothing was broken but there was definitely going to be a bruise. I was also grateful; it wasn't on the left side. Because that would have sucked with me being left-handed. Deciding not to dwell on what just happened, I grabbed a blank piece of paper and a pencil and let my mind wonder, drawing the images that came in my head.

I never told anybody, not even Bella. But every once in a while lately, when I meet someone and I touch their hand, like I did with Emmett. I can see and hear- It's almost like a movie clip of that person? but somethings just don't fit. Like the scenery or the clothing, they wear. When I touched his hand. I saw him, well… a less pale him. That "Emmett" looked almost normal with the pink rosy cheeks, laughing. Until his face flushed at the sight of the big bear which was advancing on him…

"-Very Good, Ms. Swan. I love your attention to detail. Though, I have to admit. "A Bear Attack" isn't something you would normally see in my class"

I looked up and saw Ms. Bingum standing over the table watching me. "Sorry, I kind of zoned out, what were you saying?"

"Your drawing my dear, I always say to let your muse guide you. But I've never seen it head in this direction," she chuckled before saying. "You must be pretty close to Mr. Cullen huh? To make him the star of your masterpiece along with the bear."

"Actually…No, um I just met him earlier"

The teacher raised an eyebrow, "Really? Well, you must have a very good memory" The Bell rang before I could answer.

"Okay, Everyone! Please put your completed projects in the bin that says 2nd period on your way out. For the rest of you who need a little more time, don't forget the deadline is Friday!" Ms. Bingum instructed as the students got up grabbing their stuff.

As Rosalie passed my table, I could see her looking at my drawing but I quickly shoved it in my backpack. Hopefully before she could say anything derogative. She just looked at me as I stood and moved inward towards the middle, give her plenty of room to go ahead. "After you," I said, not wanting her behind me at all.

She now glared at me, to which I hissed under my breath. "If you don't start moving, we are going to be tardy. I don't have time for this shit"

Not giving her anymore time. I dove ahead in front of this bigger sophomore named Omar. So, she would now be following him. The best news came when I found I had to go to the west side of the Campus for Math, and Rosalie was headed somewhere east. Total Opposite Directions!

I didn't hate Rosalie, for all I knew she could be having a bad day. But I had my limits, and I wasn't going to be a doormat.

Math was quiet but at least I knew how to do it. Most of it, I took a placement test to see where I was and what I needed to "improve" on. This was also the only class so far that didn't have an extremely pale person with Butterscotch eyes. Rosalie's eyes had been a darker shade of it.

Forks High was certainly small and they did put students of different grades all together in the same classroom when there weren't enough teachers to go around due to budget cuts. I could only hope that this morning was the last time today I would share with Cullen or Hale…Wrong!

There's a total of five of them altogether!
