Jesse and Rachel haven't been living together for every long. They are the same age in this fic.
Sunday Mornings
Jesse stretched as he started to wake from his slumber. He looked at his alarm and saw that it was half 8 in the morning. He sighed as he realised that it was a Sunday and he didn't have anywhere he needed to be and he could just stay in bed for as long as he wanted.
He was then reminded of his beautiful girlfriend next to him when she too stretched and started to open her brown eyes.
"Good morning beautiful." Jesse said when she turned to him. She smiled up at him before leaning up so she could kiss him.
"Good morning, handsome. How did you sleep?" she asked.
"Great." He answered. He sighed happily as he pulled her closer to him so they could rest together. "How about you?" he asked.
"Really well." She yawned. "I'm going to get some coffee. Can I get you some?" she asked her live-in boyfriend.
"Yes please." He said. She kissed him again before getting out of their shared bed and making her way to their kitchen.
Jesse laid in bed as he thought about his relationship with the love of his life. They'd met a few years prior in their first year of college. They instantly became friends bonding over their shared love of the stage. Rachel wanted to be a star and Jesse was interested in becoming a producer for Broadway shows. They'd both succeeded in making their dreams come true with Rachel getting her first big break during her sophomore year and Jesse helped to direct a few school musicals during his time at college meaning his resume was almost full by the time he graduated, and he was more than qualified to be a producer. They didn't get together until their last year of college and as much as he hated to admit it, they got together during a party when they were both uncharacteristically drunk. They ended up sleeping together and the next morning, when they'd sobered up, they both admitted to each other that they'd been interested in each since the moment they met. They'd been together ever since.
Jesse was to busy remembering how they'd met that he didn't notice his girlfriend coming back into the room and only realised when she'd dropped a newspaper on his lap. He jumped and looked at her in surprise.
"Sorry, did I startle you?" she giggled. "Here's your coffee." She said, handing him a hot mug of one of his favourite drinks.
"Thanks, babe." He said as he opened his newspaper. She snuggled up closer to him and they spent the next hour in comfortable silence as they both shared the newspaper and drank their coffee's.
"I love Sundays." He thought contently as he looked down at his girlfriend as she did the crossword.
