Rachel and Jesse have a very flirty relationship.

The Tony's

"Damn, you clean up nice." Rachel turned to who gave the compliment and found Jesse, her co-star.

Rachel rolled her eyes. "Stop looking at me like that!" she scolded while also going bright red.

Rachel and Jesse had first met when they were cast as the main stars in Broadway musical 'Waitress'. Rachel had been cast as Jenna and Jesse was cast as Jim. From the moment they met, they flirted heavily with each other, they spent a lot of time together, and from very early on, they found out that they had a lot in common. As their schedules were so hectic, and the fact that they worked together, they'd both agreed to not go further than a flirty relationship.

Rachel turned to walk further into the event hall where they were attending the Tony Awards; Rachel, Jesse and their show had all been nominated and there was a high level of excitement between everyone.

Before Rachel got too far into the hall, she felt the presence of Jesse behind her. "If you didn't look so good all the time, maybe I wouldn't keep looking at you." He whispered hotly in her ear. A craving for the man ran through Rachel as she anticipated not only the night ahead but also the coming weeks and months, if the previous months and weeks were anything to go by.

She blushed even brighter, but she ignored his comment and carried on into the hall where they would be holding the award ceremony. Thank God for make up.

Hours later, when the awards had finished, Jesse and Rachel had been encouraged to go to the after parties. They'd won two out of three awards and they'd earned it.

Rachel and Jesse spent a lot of their time together, however and the more they drank, the more they flirted and the more their inhibitions seemed to lower. They stayed attached to each other for most of the night, even when meeting other Broadway stars that Jesse and Rachel both admired but neither of them minded; it made the anticipation of what might happen as the night went on even more exciting.

It was halfway through the night, Rachel and Jesse were sitting together, alone, in a dark corner on the room. Everyone else around them where either too drunk themselves to come near them or had noticed that they wanted to be alone. The two stars were sitting very close together, Jesse had a hand on Rachel's thigh, which Rachel didn't mind, and the two were speaking in very hushed voices.

"Can I tell you a secret?" Jesse asked with a laugh, and a very drunken voice.

"Tell me." Rachel urged him.

"I have had a crush on you for years. Even before I worked with you." Jesse admitted.

"Really?" Rachel asked, her eyes widening slightly.

The man nodded. "Basically since you came on the scene. I've wanted to work with you since I first saw you in Spring Awakening." He said with a giggle. Giggling wasn't something he did often. If at all. He suddenly had become very aware of what he was saying and was starting to feel embarrassed.

When he looked at Rachel, she was blushing, as if she was embarrassed too.

"You are so cute." Rachel said softly under her breath, thinking that Jesse wouldn't hear. She saw a small on Jesse's face however and she knew he had heard. She thought something like this would make her feel embarrassed, but she was surprised to find that it didn't. She felt confident and sexy. Jesse made her feel confident and sexy. And she wanted to run with that feeling.

"That makes two of us then." Jesse answered confidently, looking straight at Rachel, his hesitation and embarrassment also seemed to have gone.

The two of them spent a couple more hours at the after party, and instead of spending time just the two of them, they got up to mingle with other actors and other winners from the night. From then on, Jesse kept an arm around his co-star's waist. Rachel would look up at him fondly when he spoke, whether that was about the job or anything in general. Both of them aware of what was to come with the rest of the night but were ok with waiting because they knew for a fact what was going to happen, and the anticipation of it made them even more excited.

The evening started to wind down, Jesse and Rachel over by the bar and beginning to sober up. "Do you want to get out of here?" Jesse asked, bending closer to whisper in her ear.

Rachel looked up in surprise. "You still want to?" she asked, going red in the face.

Jesse frowned. "Why wouldn't I?" he asked.

Rachel shrugged. "I guess I ask because we're sobering up." She said in a small voice.

Jesse laughed lightly. "I've wanted you for the last seven years, and I can promise you that I haven't spend the last seven years drunk." He whispered hotly and watched as her cheeks burned brighter. "So, coming?" he asked and held out a hand to her.

She grabbed onto it.

Let me know if you want a 2nd part to this!

I have to admit that writing a story like this when Rachel and Jesse in my other story pretty much hate each other is very weird.
