Hey, this is my first fanfiction. I hope you enjoy, and any feedback is welcome ^^
Thank you for reading~
It was the middle of the week as New Team 7 began their morning meet up. It was a little after 7am, an early start to the teams training session, as Boruto Uzumaki - the loud mouth of the team - arrived, hand over his mouth, an exaggerated yawn escaping his mouth. Following close behind was Mitsuki - the more reserved member of the team - as he glanced over and gave a friendly smile to his team mate.
Sarada Uchiha - the more serious one - gave a brief smile to her friend before turning her head to the groggy blond in front of him. "You're late" She said bluntly.
Boruto waved his hand dismissively at the Uchiha as he pouted. "Yea, yea I'm sorry, I'm sorry" He grumbled. Sarada wasn't buying it and turned to Mitsuki.
He smiled. "Boruto was up late again playing his video game again" he tattled. Boruto winced in betrayal.
"I see..." Sarada pushed up the nose of her red glasses. Boruto shot a glance to Mitsuki before walking towards Sarada.
"I said I'm sorry." He scowled. "Besides, we aren't assigned to any missions this week, so there's no hurry." He shrugged.
Sarada didn't like that, but before she could retort, Mitsuki intervened. "We're here now, so shall we begin morning meditation?" His friends just scoffed at each other before dropping it.
The three sat in a circle, legs crossed and hands clasped between their legs. This was an exercise in chakra control. It helped open up and allow easier flow of their chakra to cycle through their bodies. It was similar to warming up your muscles, but required concentration. It was also a team bonding moment as they sat together.
After close to thirty minutes of meditating, Boruto exhaled heavily. He was bored. "Aren't we done yet?" He whined.
Sarada sighed and opened her eyes. "This is important Boruto." She scowled, but once the numbness from sitting for so long suddenly hit her butt, she sighed again. "I suppose we can stop for now though."
Boruto jumped to his feet, a large grin on his face as he began shaking his legs and arms. Chakra meditation was important, but that doesn't mean it's not boring. Mitsuki followed Boruto's movements as he chuckled, followed by Sarada stretching out her stiff muscles.
"Can we go grab food first?" Boruto asked, glancing an eye at Sarada who now glared. "I'm just saying" he shrugged, hands on the back of his head. "You had us meet up so early, I never got to grab some food before hand."
Sarada went to respond, but Mitsuki nodded in agreement. Feeling she was outvoted, she crossed her arms. "Fine, but no Thunder Burger" She huffed. An obvious moan of disappointment escaped Boruto's mouth. "It's so greasy and bleh" She added.
"Urgh, fine, just let me eat before we commit to this training thing" Mitsuki chuckled at the two as they both continued to huff.
It was around 8am by the time the trio got back into the village. Most of the food stores didn't open till 9am and Boruto refused to wait any longer. He turned to Sarada with desperation. She sighed and looked around. There was Ichiraku Ramen, just down the street. They normally opened closer to lunch time, but occasionally serve early customers - mostly for the Hokage's sake as he frequently missed breakfast.
Boruto followed her eyeline and scoffed. "No way" Too late, Sarada already grabbed him by the collar of his jacket and started walking. She was happy to eat at the Hokage's favourite food store, but even more happy that Boruto didn't like it. "C'mon Sarada, I don't wanna eat at my old man's favourite store".
As they walked through the curtained door of Ichiraku Ramen, Teuchi, an older man who owned the ramen store, turned to welcome his guests. "Ah , Good Morning, Miss Sarada" He smiled, before seeing Boruto's dragged body behind her. "And Lord Boruto" He added. "It's unusual to see you here" He chuckled.
"Good Morning Mister Teuchi, are you open by chance?" Sarada asked politely, releasing the struggling blond from her grasp.
Teuchi shook his head gently. "Unfortunately not Miss Sarada. We seem to be having some trouble with deliveries lately, so our ingredients are a little delayed this morning." He apologised.
Both Sarada and Boruto raised an eyebrow to this. "Ah, we're sorry to intrude then mister Teuchi" Sarada bowed. "We hope your deliveries arrive in time for lunch service" She smiled.
Teuchi smiled back and nodded. "I hope so, otherwise I fear the Hokage might miss his lunch... again" He chuckled. Boruto scowled before turning on his heels and leaving. Mitsuki stood outside, seeing his team mates at the inside entrance, he was waiting to see what was going to happen. Seeing Boruto emerge from the curtains, he tilted his head.
"Ah, I guess we're to early from Ramen" He spoke. Boruto glanced at Mitsuki.
"Apparently the old man's having delivery problems." He said. "We haven't been told of any missions related to shipments though, so probably just a late delivery" He shrugged. Sarada walked out from the curtains before shaking her head softly.
"Now what?" She asked.
Boruto looked up and down the street, a moment later, a grin on his face. "I know the perfect place"
Sarada's eye twitch as she pushed the nose of her glasses up. Boruto just grinned as he ran inside. Thunder Burger. Of course they ended up here in the end. Sarada swears that Boruto would live on hamburgers if he was allowed, and since he already ran inside, she didn't have much room to argue it. Mitsuki gave an amused smile.
"Shall we?" He beckoned, walking in front of her and following his friend. Sarada pressed her fingers to her temple before conceding.
Inside, Boruto was already at the checkout. The place was quiet during the morning, but they did offer breakfast and lunch options at this time. Mitsuki joined him, and they both got there food and sat down in a free booth. Sarada ordered a drink and joined them, sitting across from them as Boruto and Mitsuki sat beside each other.
"Hm?" Boruto grumbled, his mouth half full of his hamburger already. Mitsuki glanced to Sarada's drink.
"Aren't you hungry?" He questioned. Sarada leaned the side of her head against her hand, armed placed gently on the table. She took a sip of her juice.
"Not really" She said, turning her gaze out the window. Boruto narrowed his eyes at her.
"Oh really?" His annoyed expression turning to a smirk. "Your stomach says otherwise" He commented. As if on cue, Sarada's stomach growled, a light blush growing across her face as she sat up straight.
"Some of us don't live on fast food, idiot" She scowled. Mitsuki chuckled.
After a few moments of silence as the boys ate, Boruto glanced at Sarada again, staring out the window sipping her drink. He frowned.
"Geez, your depressing, y'kno." He shrugged. Sarada threw him an unamused glance. Boruto stood up from his seat and walked towards the checkout again. Both his team mates stared as he left, wondering what he was doing. Soon after, he turned back with a burger and fries in hand.
"Are you seriously ordering seconds?" Sarada spoke, not sure to be surprised or disgusted.
"Shut up, and eat." He groaned, tossing the items in front of Sarada and walking away. "I need to take a leak" He waved as he walked away, his back to the two.
Sarada was speechless. Should she be angry? Annoyed? Disgusted? Before her thoughts even gathered, Boruto was gone. She looked at Mitsuki who just smiled and continued eating his fries.
She eyes the food for a few seconds before releasing a heavy sigh. "Idiot, Boruto."
When Boruto came out from the bathroom, he saw Sarada nibbling on the fries from the other side of the restaurant. He sighed a smile before walking back over to his team.
"Alright, we've wasted enough time." Sarada spoke in a serious tone. "Is there anything you both want to prioritise training today?" She asked, turning to the two boys. Mitsuki thought for a moment.
"Boruto needed some help with his shuriken throwing." He spoke. Boruto winced, turning to glare at his friend. Sarada tilted her head.
"Sure, we can practice throwing for a while if you want to." She spoke, turning her head to the logs in the distance, already set up with target markers. The training grounds they used wasn't private. They'd occasionally meet other teams during their sessions and would help each other improve when needed. This meant a lot of the training equipment was always readily available, but also that they had to take care of the grounds.
Boruto pouted, raising his hands in defeat. "Fine, fine." He sighed. "But it's not cause I'm bad it at, alright." He defended.
Sarada raised an eyebrow "What's the matter? It's okay to be bad at something." She joked, bringing her arms up in an exaggerated shrug. Boruto scowled.
"It's not like that..." He paused before raising his right hand. "Ever since I injured my arm, my right hands been unsteady." He stared intently at his bare hand. "It might just be a muscle or nerve thing, but it's made my accuracy a little shaky."
"Ah, from our fight with Deepa you mean?" Mitsuki asked, already knowing the answer. Sarada sighed.
"We'll warm up with throwing practice then." She said, walking over to her satchel nearby the trees. As she left the two boys, Mitsuki turned to Boruto.
"Have you told Sarada how severe your injury was?" He asked.
Boruto placed his hands behind his head. "I don't want her to worry about it. I just won't use my Rasengan for a bit." He began walking away to the training targets before Mitsuki could reply.
Boruto started collecting his various ninja tools thrown around the area. After picking up his last kunai, he gave a loud exhale before turning to his team mates who were already placing their tools into their bags. He gave a quick check over of his trembling hand before joining them.
"Damn... My aim really has gone downhill" He joked. Sarada looked over at his slouched posture.
"Are you sure your okay?" She asked. Boruto's left arm was mostly perfect. He usually hit the target 9 out of 10 times. However, with his injured arm, he only managed 2 out of 10. It was concerning. Boruto never made eye contact.
"Yea, yea it's all good." He laughed. "Aunt Sakura said it'll be good as new with rest." He scratched the back of his head.
"If Mama said it's fine, then I'll trust her..." She spoke, half convinced, standing up and dusting off her clothes. Mitsuki brought out a bottle of water and offered it to Boruto, which he happily accepted. "How about some sparring?" Sarada offered.
Mitsuki thought about it and nodded, turning to Boruto who was chugging the water bottle. With a loud gasp of air and wiping his lips, Boruto ginned. "Now that sounds more exciting"
Round One. Sarada vs Mitsuki.
"First one to immobilise their opponent wins." Sarada announced. Mitsuki nodded.
"Go, Mitsuki!" Boruto cheered, earning a stern look from Sarada. He laughed at her annoyance and shrugged. "And go Sarada, I guess." He wasn't choosing favourites, he just enjoyed riling up the Kunoichi during sparring. When everyone was ready, Boruto called "Go!"
Sarada immediately ran in, hand seals already being woven as she readied her fireball. Mitsuki chuckled, knowing her seals well.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu" Sarada called, spewing fire from in front of her mouth. Mitsuki hopped to the side, evading the flames and glancing towards Sarada behind the searing blaze. She was gone. His eyes darted around the visible areas in search of his team mate before forming some hand seals.
"Wind Style: Breakthrough!" With a deep breath, Mitsuki let out a straight shot of wind at the flames, extinguishing them and quickly glancing around.
"Shannaro!" Mitsuki swung his head back, avoiding a hard punch from Sarada. She wasn't done though, as her fist past by his face, Sarada's eyes lit up red. Her Sharingan activating, two tomoe's staring Mitsuki dead in the eye. Before he could respond, he other hand swung round, upper cutting at his face. The punch barely grazed his jaw as he leaned into a back flip and shuffled to safety. Just in time to react.
"Lightning Style: Lightning Ball." Three balls of electricity shot towards Mitsuki, He dodged one, but the other two were too close to evade. He managed to produce snakes from under his sleeve to take the hit of one, but the last ball hit his shoulder. The electricity started to cause his shoulder muscles to spasm, enough to slow him down for Sarada to get close enough.
Her fist stopped just before Mitsuki's face as he closed his eyes and smiled.
"You win." He cheered softly. Sarada blinked, her Sharingan deactivating and began rubbing her eyes, a proud smile across her lips.
Boruto watched in awe from the side lines, a huge grin across his face. "That was amazing, Y'kno!" He stood up, throwing his arms into the air. "Your Sharingan is so cool Sarada." He continued.
Sarada turned to the blond, her cheeks tinting red from the flattery. "T-thanks" She nervously smiled. "Every since my second tomoe activated, it's become really tiring to use." She added.
Boruto placed a hand on her shoulder and gave a thumbs up. "That just means your getting closer to becoming our future Hokage." He cheered. Sarada's face went totally red as she pushed him to the side.
"It's your turn to spar." She said, walking to the spectating area. Boruto looked at Mitsuki with an unasked question.
"I can keep going." Mitsuki nodded "the electricity has already dispersed." he reassured.
Round Two. Boruto vs Mitsuki.
Sarada's Sharingan took a lot of her energy, so she sat this round out. Mitsuki was fine with this, still feeling good from his previous match. Boruto smirked while doing some brief warm up stretches.
"Alright Mitsuki, no holding back!" He grinned ear to ear. He was a bit to happy for this.
"Of course Boruto" Mitsuki smirked "I'd never underestimate you." he continued.
"You're damn right" He smirked. "Let's go!"
Before Sarada had a chance to call the start of the match, Boruto was already running at Mitsuki, palm flat as he ran at his friend. Mitsuki raised his left arm up, blocking Boruto's right palm. Using his Hyuga style of fighting, Boruto began throwing one palm after another. Mitsuki followed his movements, blocking each palm that came towards him. After a hard right palm, Boruto dropped to the ground, crouching, swiftly sweeping his leg under Mitsuki. He managed to jump back to dodge it, but suddenly he found himself being rushed by Boruto, flying towards him, palm outstretched. He glanced behind him briefly just to see two clones puff out of existence.
"Boruto Stream!" Boruto called, slamming hard into Mitsuki's arms that now crossed across his chest. The impact knocked Mitsuki back and into a hard landing on the ground. As Boruto's feet touched the ground, the earth beneath him shook. Snakes sprung from beneath him, wrapping around his ankles. Unable to move without losing balance, Boruto immediately took a defensive stance.
Mitsuki dashed at him, hand seals in motion.
"Lightning Style: Snake Lightning" He chanted, shooting snake like lightning towards Boruto.
"Damn!" Boruto crossed his fingers into a hand seal "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" The lightning hit the clone that appeared in front of Boruto, knocking it back into him before disappearing. This knocked Boruto off balance before he found himself wrapped up in Mitsuki's snake like arms, completely tied up and unable to move.
"I win." Mitsuki smiled. Boruto growled in defeat as his friend released him and helped gain his balance.
"Ah man!" Boruto whined, kicking the ground and shoving his hands into his pockets. "Well this sucks." He continued to pout in defeat. Sarada laughed from the side, attracting Boruto's attention. "I'm glad you enjoyed the show so much." He started walking towards her as she tried regaining her composure.
"You looked terrified at the end." She said through faint laughs. Boruto scowled at her.
"I panicked." He turned his gaze to the side. "It's kinda scary when your legs are trapped and there's friggen lightning flying at you, Y'kno!" He huffed.
Mitsuki nodded lightly. "You did say no holding back." he smiled. Boruto narrowed his eyes, but knew it wasn't personal. "Sarada, are you ready for the final round?" Mitsuki turned to face Sarada, who in turn looked at Boruto.
"It was such a quick match, but I guess he lasted long enough for me to gain some stamina back." She shrugged, glancing a look at Boruto who scowled.
"Shut up." He mumbled. "I never used much chakra, so I'm still good." He stretched upwards.
Sarada nodded and punched a fist into her other hand. "Let's see if you can keep up this time." She teased. Boruto glared at her before turning to Mitsuki who was chuckling to himself. He rolled his eyes in defeat as he walked over to Sarada.
Round Three. Boruto vs Sarada.
With a quick hand motion, Mitsuki initiated the match. Sarada immediately activated her Sharingan as Boruto began crossing his fingers, summoning two shadow clones.
"Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!" He called, both his clones immediately running towards Sarada, palms ready. As the one on her left lunged at her, she ducked lower than his hand and swung her body to bring up an upper cut to hits jaw, her back to the ground. As the clone took the punch, the second clone came down with another palm thrust. She wasn't in an ideal position, so brought her left hand to the ground, gaining some balance and pushed just out of the way of the lunge, something she only pulled off because of her Sharingan.
As she twisted, she brought a kick round and rammed it into the second clones side, knocking it down and making them disperse.
"Wind Style: Gale Palm!" She heard from behind her, seeing two more Boruto clones creating wind in there hands. She saw the real Boruto smirking at her as he jumped, his clones thrusting there air palm's against his feet, shooting him towards her at high speeds. "Boruto Stream!"
Sarada was off balance from that kick. Quick thinking, she flung her back against the ground, lying flat against the earth. Boruto had went right over the top of her, missing his target. Sarada gave a quick sigh before she heard footsteps.
She sat up, Boruto charging at "Lightning Style:" Sarada was already jumping to her feet. The last one was a clone too? "Thunderclap Arrow!"
"Lightning Style: Thunderclap Arrow!" She called, copying his technique. As both Jutsu made contact, a large burst of electricity shot out, sparks flying at both Sarada and Boruto.
The Sharingan made evading the bolts easy, rolling to the side fast enough. Boruto wasn't as lucky though as a bolt of electricity shot straight at him. He raised an arm in defence as the lightning hit his right arm, shooting sharp electrical currents up his injured arm.
"Boruto!" Mitsuki called, calling Sarada's attention towards the blond. They both ran towards him, as he fell to his knees, gripping his burning arm. It was pulsating, spasming from the surge of stimulation that had ripped through his muscles and nerves. Sarada ran for the first aid kit in her satchel as Mitsuki grabbed Boruto.
"Dammit!" Boruto gritted his teeth, trying not to scream. He couldn't move, couldn't think. "Dammit!"
Sarada began applying cooling gel to his arm. She wasn't sure if it would help, but she hoped the cooling effect would reduce the inflammation. It was all she had at the moment.
"Boruto, I'm so sorry!" She panicked, fighting him for control of his arm. He couldn't let go, locked up in pain. His muscles had stiffened. Tears had started to form in the corner of his eyes as he gave in to the unbearable pain in his right side. Mitsuki ran to his backpack.
"Take this." Mitsuki spoke, shoving a small vial to Boruto's mouth. He had no idea what it was, but he trusted Mitsuki. Anything to ease this pain. "It's a numbing toxin." Mitsuki explained as he pressed the vial against Boruto's lips. "I'm hoping it numbs the pain until we get you to the hospital." he continued. He could feel the cold gel on his arm, but it wasn't enough to ease anything.
Boruto gave a deep exhale after finishing the vial. It tasted awful, and Sarada was still tending to his arm. His head was dizzy. It didn't take long for him to blackout, his last image being of his team mates calling his name.
...
"Mm..." Boruto slowly opened his eyes. The lights overhead blinding him as he squinted and raised his left hand to cover his eyes. "Wh-"
His hearing was slowly coming back. His senses were catching up to him as his groggy eyes adjusted to the lighting. He spent a minute catching up with the situation before lifting his right arm as he soon remembered. It was fully wrapped in bandages. The pain was gone, but it did feel numb. He fought for the strength to sit upright, aches in his chest, back and shoulder.
"Mmm" He heard someone. He looked to the bottom of his bed once he managed to sit up. Raven hair was the first thing he saw before leaning to the side to see more. Sarada lay at the end of his bed, leaning over and sleeping. He blinked a few times before looking around the room again. "Boruto?" He heard again.
He glanced back to Sarada who had lifted her head, adjusting her glasses as she woke up. Boruto grinned at her. "I like the bed hair" He teased. She gave a half hearted glare as she stood up, moving closer to Boruto.
"How are you feeling?" She asked, her voice was tired but soft.
Boruto lowered his eyes, his head still spinning. "I'm fine." He answered. "What happened? It's all kinda... fuzzy" He asked.
Sarada sighed in relief before moving to the other side of the bed - his injured side. "Mama personally tended to your... injury." She said, her voice quieted. "I didn't mean-"
"Geez Sarada" Boruto cut her off, catching her attention as she quickly looked him in the eyes. He just grinned. "You never did anything wrong, so stop being a big baby." He shrugged, an action he regretted as a slight paint shot through his shoulder.
Sarada noticed, but decided to follow his energy. "I guess your right." She spoke, sitting on the side of his bed. "It's not my fault you're slow." She teased.
Boruto pouted, but was soon laughing at the situation. "but damn..." He lay back on his bed, placing his healthy arm over his eyes again. "That really sucked, y'kno" he half heartedly laughed at the situation. Boruto flinched a moment later as he felt a hand over his forehead.
He moved his arm, glancing at Sarada staring straight at him. A warm blush crept across his face as he quickly covered his face again. "Your fever seems to have gone down for now" She finally spoke. "I should let Mama know our awake" She spoke, before quickly removing her hand and Boruto could just hear her footsteps as they got quieter.
Sarada returned quickly, finding Boruto was already sat up completely from his bed, his legs dangling off the side as he looked over at her. "Oh, your back." He smiled.
"What do you think you're doing, idiot!" She scolded, causing Boruto to flinch. She stomped over to him, hands on her hips. "Where exactly do you think your going?" She continued to scold, clearly seeing someone who expects to leave his bed while still recovering.
Boruto pouted. "I gotta take a leak..." red flushed Sarada's cheeks. "Unless you want to escort me" He teased, a large grin on his face. Sarada huffed and backed up a little to allow him to stand.
His arm was still numb, but not painful. He staggered towards the door to leave for the bathroom as Sakura suddenly opened it and stared at him, a firm look now on her face.
"What do you think you're doing, Boruto?" She asked. Boruto was taken by surprise, but his surprise became amusement at the similarities between mother and daughter.
"I gott-"
Before he could speak, Sakura had him turn on his heels and march back to bed. Before he knew it, he was already tucked back into his hospital bed and Sakura was reading his medical chart, checking everything was correct. Boruto shot Sarada a pleading look as she just stuck her tounge out at him.
"Alright Boruto." Sakura started, still scanning through her clipboard. "Sarada and Mitsuki already explained what happened." She looked up from her board. "Mitsuki also informed me of an injury you had prior to this one." Boruto took a deep breath.
"Ah yea..." He stuttered" It was nothing serious, Aunt Sakura" He averted eye contact.
Sakura walked over to his arm, gently looking it over. She slowly lifted it up a little from the bed. "Does it hurt?" She asked. Boruto shook his head. She lifted it a little higher. "Now?" Still no.
Sakura slowly moved his arm around, checking for any signs of pain. Happy that nothing seemed wrong for now, she gave Boruto a quick kiss on the forehead and began leaving the room. "Sarada's been by your side the entire time." Sakura giggled, before closing the door behind her.
Boruto glanced over at Sarada as she grew flustered, her cheeks red and her mouth partly agape in horror. Boruto grinned again. "Oh did she now?" A playful tone to his voice.
Sarada collected herself before walking back over to his side. "Oh shut up" She spoke, her tone not as harsh as he expected. "Mitsuki had to go home to look after Mikazuki." She sighed. "So of course I was stuck babysitting you, idiot" She pouted.
A moment of silence passed before Boruto jumped up from his bed again. "I still gotta piss!" He exclaimed, fleeing the room. Sarada was taken by surprise, but soon giggled as the blond disappeared from sight.
"You don't need to walk me home Y'kno" Boruto pouted, staring at the persistent Uchiha by his side. "I'm feeling good, honest."
"Too bad" She scowled, a serious tone behind her words. "Besides, we live close to one another, so it's convenient" She said more softly.
Boruto threw his hands behind his head. It was pretty late, but Sakura had informed Hinata that her son was released so she was expecting him soon. She couldn't meet him at the hospital due to Himawari being fast asleep in bed.
Boruto mumbled. "I should be escorting you home" He spoke quietly, more of an outer monologue.
Sarada smirked. "Oh?" Boruto shuddered. "You'd like to escort me home, would you?" She teased, leaning closer to his face. Boruto blushed at the sudden closeness, but wasn't gonna lose that easily.
"Wouldn't you feel safer if a strong, handsome guy kept you company?" He smirked, pushing his head forward - making Sarada back up. She giggled.
"Sure, do you know any?" She closed her eyes, giggling at her own comment. Boruto folded his arms and pouted.
"Whatever, I was just trying to be courteous." He went to walk away before a hand tugged his left arm. He turned back with a curious expression.
"Boruto, I-" Sarada lowered her head, hiding her eyes in the tint of her glasses. Boruto didn't move, but he did wait patiently. "I'm sorry..." She whispered.
"You need to stop apologising so much" Boruto turned round, placing a hand on each of her shoulders. "I told you, it was just part of our training" He smiled. Sarada's shoulders shuddered, and he felt it.
"I'm just glad your okay" Her face finally looked up, a nervous smile across her lips. She was this concerned for him?
"Sarada..." Boruto leaned forward, his lips landing on Sarada's forehead. "Thanks for looking out for me." His grin was wide, and sincere. Sarada just stared at him, a blush forming across her face. Boruto began rubbing the back of his head, quickly shuffling back a few steps and using his other hand to cover his face as he just realized what he had done, a hot flush across his own cheeks.
"Y-yea..." Sarada nervously laughed. "Just make sure you rest, Idiot!" She adjusted her glasses before turning on her heels. "T-tomorrow" She nervously spoke "tomorrow we'll get Thunder Burger" She finished, running off towards her home.
He watched her run off before giving a loud sigh. "Ah man..." What did he do?
"Boruto." With a quick turn to the street they previously walked from, Boruto saw his father walking towards him. "Why did you leave the hospital already?" Naruto gave a rub of his temple. "You were told to wait for me to pick you up"
Boruto crossed his arms, pouting like a child. "Sorry, sorry. I'm not used to you actually showing up, so I didn't wanna wait, y'kno" Boruto began walking towards his house, just around the corner. Naruto couldn't give a big enough sigh as he followed behind his son.
Boruto gave a final glance back, only to see an empty street. He truly was thankful for Sarada's concern, as he grinned like an idiot.
