Chapter Thirty-Two

Rei P.O.V.

"Is this wise?" I questioned as Seleine clasped hands with Saturn and Kaorinite. "We don't even know what the moon looks like right now. It's probably still in ruins."

Seleine turned to me. "Do you have a better idea?"

I didn't. She knew I didn't.

"Time to go," Pluto said.

I looked over my shoulder as everyone started grabbing hands. I turned back and grabbed Mercury and Jupiter's hands at the last second. One second we were on earth, the next we were on the moon.

I was right. The moon kingdom was still in ruins. I covered my mouth with my hand as memories flooded my mind. I dropped to my knees as I relived my death.

"This place," Healer breathed. "I can feel the pain. It's overwhelming."

Uranus stepped forward. I wasn't sure what she was remembering, but I could tell it was traumatizing her. She crashed to the ground and sat on her legs. Her entire body started to quiver.

I did this. This is my fault.

"Seleine!" Cried Neptune.

I snapped my head behind me. Seleine had fallen to the ground. Neptune was just barely holding her up. A blue mist hovered over Neptune and touched Seleine. Neptune wavered.

"She needs energy," Kunzite said stepping forward.

"No!" Seleine said. "You all need your strength."

"Seleine, there is no life here you can draw," Kunzite reasoned with her.

"I can take care of that," Tellu stepped forward. "Mercury, Mars, would you mind helping me?"

Mercury and I looked to each other then looked back at Seleine. Seleine could barely keep her head up. I turned back to Tellu.

"What do you need us to do?" I asked.

"Mars, I need you to create a light. Mercury, I need you to create rain when I say so," she ordered.

I was still getting used to my powers. I didn't know what my limits were. I lifted my hands up to the sky and closed my eyes. I pictured the sun, essentially that's what she needed. The air around me kept getting hotter and hotter.

"Good Mars keep the heat at the level it's at," Tellu said.

I opened one eye to see what I had created. I had created a small sun that covered only part of the kingdom. I smile came to my face as I got giddy.

"Focus!" Tellu snapped as my sun wavered.

I calmed myself and focused on my sun once more.

Tellu stepped forward and spread her arms out at her sides. She tilted her head back as green waves started emanating from her body. Slowly, she started to levitate. The green waves spread out across the entire kingdom. They wrapped around broken columns and stone. All forms of plants started to grow. Beautiful pink and yellow flowers blossomed out of the green grass that slowly started to grow.

"Cast a light rain Mercury," Tellu ordered.

Mercury bit her lip as she raised her hands slightly. She focused her eyes. For a moment, nothing happened. A red tint appeared on Mercury's face. Then she exhaled and a cool rain started to drop. The rain dropped on my shoulders and brow.

"Good Mercury," Tellu said.

The plant life started to grow even faster. I turned to look back at Seleine. She was kneeling on the ground. Her head was bent. Her fingers were in the moon's soil. Green and pink rays flowed through her veins. Color started to show on her face again. Her hair became animated again. Neptune had to step back so she wouldn't get burned.

"That's enough," Seleine said as she stood.

Tellu dropped back to the ground as Mercury and I dropped our hands. I felt a little tired. Creating that sun and teleporting twice in fifteen minutes really took a lot out of me. I could tell Mercury was feeling the same. If Tellu was feeling worn out, she didn't show it.

"What happened while you were in the future again?" Fighter asked.

My body sagged as I remembered everything that happened. Dark Serenity killing Queen Serenity. Serenity's pyre. Small Lady being crowned queen.

"Dark Serenity killed the Queen Serenity from the future," Zoisite answered. "Oh also, Dark Serenity is pregnant with Small Lady."

Fighter's eyes flashed at the word pregnant.

"How did that happen?" Fighter seethed.

"You all lost sight of Endymion," Zoisite smirked.

"She knew that we went to the future to get Small Lady," Seleine tells Kakyuu.

"How did she know of this?" Kakyuu asked.

My body froze.

"There must be a mole," Jupiter said. Her eyes darted between Zoisite and Neptune.

Neptune's mouth dropped open when she saw Jupiter staring at her.

"If you're insinuating it was me Jupiter," Neptune started. "I happily inform you it was not me."

All eyes turned to Zoisite, who only quirked an eyebrow, except Seleine. Seleine's eyes traveled to me. Dread filled my stomach. My anxiety levels skyrocketed.

"It was me," I said. My confession was met with silence and looks of disbelief.

"Mars?" Jupiter whispered.

Tears started to stream down my face. It became hard to breathe. "I'm sorry."

"Why?" Asked Mercury.

I opened my mouth and looked around. My bottom lip started to quiver. "Serenity, our Serenity, came to me. She asked me why we were in the future," I started.

*On the Moon Kingdom*

"I'm not telling you anything," I said and turned on my heel.

"Did you ever tell Venus how you felt about her?" She asked me.

I stopped in my tracks. My entire body froze. I craned my head to look at her.

"What did you say?"

"You must miss her," she said. She looked down at the ground. "You must regret never telling her." She dragged her eyes back up to me and cocked her head to the side.

I was shocked. Serenity couldn't tell that Seiya was in love with her, how could she tell I was in love with Minako?

"I could bring her back you know," she said twirling a strand of hair around her pale finger. "That is, if you return the favor."

*Present*

"So, you told her everything?" Uranus asked.

I couldn't meet her eyes. I looked down at the ground as I nodded my head.

"Why?" Mercury asked. "We all miss her, Mars."

"She missed Venus in a different way," Seleine said. I looked up at her.

"You knew all along, didn't you?" I asked.

Seleine's expression softened. She dipped her head.

"I'm sorry," I sobbed as I crashed to the ground. "I'm so sorry." Tears streamed down my cheeks. I was a messy crier, so I knew I looked disgusting.

"I know I have no right to ask, but please forgive me," I cried out.

Seleine P.O.V.

Mars crashed to the ground and sobbed. I pitied her. I knew when I found Mars on the moon when I felt Serenity's presence what had happened. I knew Serenity would target one of them, I just didn't know who.

Mercury and Jupiter looked shocked. They didn't know what to think. The Outers were mixed with pity and rage.

"What now?" Saphir asked.

I breathed in. "Now the senshi decides her fate," I said. I turned on my heel and walked toward the ruined palace.

"Seleine?" Pluto questioned me.

I stopped and turned to her. Pluto blinked. "This is for you to decide. As Uranus so kindly reminded me, I am not your leader. You all decide what her punishment is. The Starlights, Witches 5, and Shittenou come with me."

Pluto opened her mouth. She wanted to argue, but she didn't know what to say. I looked to the Starlights, Witches 5, and the Shittenou. The Starlights looked incredibly uncomfortable. They all me my gaze, nodded, and followed me.

I heard steps approach behind me. Kakyuu walked with me in silence.

After making it to the palace walls she broke the silence. "Was that wise?"

I turned to her. I couldn't speak. Part of me feared what their rage would have them do. Another part of me knew they would grant her mercy. I turned back to wonder about the palace.

Kakyuu nodded her head once and looked to the palace.

"Well this is quite the mess," Saphir said.

I turned to him. He looked happy with himself. He had a smug expression on his face. "Do you have anything useful to add?"

He blushed and looked to the ruined palace. His expression turned curious. He peered at the palace like he was deeply interested in the construction.

"Kaorinite," I called turning away from him.

She instantly teleported to my side. "Yes Mistress?" She asked dipping her head slightly.

"Can your telekinesis repair the damage to the palace?" I asked turning from the palace to her.

She looked taken aback. "Theoretically yes," she answered. I stared at her a little harder. "But it may be a bit much for my gifts. I would need to take breaks."

"Very well," I sighed nodding my head. I rubbed my temples with my fingers. "At the very least, get the ballroom taken care of. We all need a place to rest."

I turned to the Shittenou and gave a silent command. The Witches 5 and the Shittenou stalked off to do some repairs. Kakyuu commanded the Starlights to do the same with Saphir joining them.

Kakyuu walked up to my side. She looked at the palace courtyard. The greenery grew around broken pieces of the palace. It actually looked quite beautiful in a rustic way.

"I trust you have a plan?" Kakyuu asked me.

I turned toward her. Her red hair was falling out of their buns. Her dress was torn in many places. She had also sweated off her makeup. This is the worst I've seen her look in all my time of knowing her.

"Yes," I said. I turned back to the courtyard. "I'm going to kill my father."
