The second Ana realized who it was, she had trouble breathing. PHILIP!
He grabbed her and held her tightly, as he shoved her against the car. From behind, she smelled his disgusting breath and felt him blow warm air on the back of her neck. As a sob escaped her lips, Philip laughed mockingly and brought one hand to her hair, touching it.
"God, Ana. You smell so good and your hair is just as soft as I can remember." He whispered, as he held her even tighter.
She felt the pain and knew that the skin was going to bruise, where he was gripping her.
Ana was terrified and wanted to scream for help. But… her voice had completely failed her. As her eyes fell shut, Philip turned her around.
"You are so beautiful! But… if I can't have you, nobody can!" he hissed, as he roughly grabbed her face with his hand.
"Are you wondering how I got here so fast, my Ana? You seem to forget that I know this city… my city like the back of my hand! I know all the short cuts, Ana and I know you. Instead of going for help I knew you'd come back here… See that you belong with me? Nobody knows you more than I do." He whispered, in such a threatening manner.
Ana kept her eyes closed, as her whole body shook. She was terrified.
"Look at me! You are mine! Do you hear! Look at me, now! And I will show you tonight that you belong to me!" he threatened, as she stood frozen, the tears rolling down her cheeks.
She wanted to run, wanted to scream, but it was no use. Her body refused to obey what her head was ordering.
As he gripped her face tighter, he demanded." Tell me! Say it! SAY THAT YOU ARE MINE! Say it!"
Ana closed her eyes again and sobbed." I… I am… NOT yours!" she exclaimed.
Philip was outraged and if looks could kill, she'd lie dead on the floor right now. And just as he was about to slap Ana, they both heard a loud growl…
Never in her life, did Ana think that she'd ever be so happy to hear that skin crawling sound. That growl, the sound that would make any man run away screaming. Christian!
As Philip turned around, he let go of her in the process. He pulled a gun from his coat and was about to shoot, but the monster was faster than him. He tackled Philip to the ground, making the gun fall on the floor. As Ana watched in horror at the two fighting, it dawned on her that one of them will surely get hurt badly… or worse! Her heart was pounding against her rib cage, as she tried to follow their movements. She knew that Philip had no chance against the monster… She had to do something, before it got out of hand…
And just as the monster was about to give Philip a final blow to the head with his sharp long claws, Ana got her voice back.
"STOP! DON'T! PLEASE DON'T!" She shouted, as she tried to make eye contact with the monster.
He listened and stopped, but in that split second, Philip grabbed his gun from the floor and pulled the trigger…
The monster was shot, but still was able to leap towards Philip! As said monster grabbed and shoved him very hard against the wall, he roared loudly, making Ana tremble. Philip was shaking like a leaf, as he watched the monster snarl and growl.
"P-please… please don't! D-don't kill me! Please! I will n-never hurt anyone again…j-just please don't…" Philip said, as he begged for his life…
The monster growled and snarled and choked him… but after a few seconds, he let go of him. Philip cried and like a coward ran away as fast as his feet were able to… without even looking back once, not even worried about leaving Ana alone…
Relieved, Ana let out a deep breath and looked up at Christian. He had changed back into his human form and held onto his waist with both his hands. As she walked closer to him, she saw that he was bleeding! A lot!
"Christian, Oh God! You are hurt!" she exclaimed, as she ran towards him.
He had trouble standing on his feet, so she helped him up.
"Let's get you to the hospital!" she said.
Christian shook his head frantically." No! I can't go to the hospital. They are gonna have to report it to the Police." He replied.
"But…" Ana said, but was cut off by her phone ringing loudly.
She grabbed it and wondered who had sent her a message." Christian, it's a text from Kate. She is on her way, and will be here in about five minutes."
Christian looked Ana in the eyes and said." Please call your father and wait here for your best friend, then go to your apartment and lock the door. Ask her to stay with you until he arrives, so you can report to the Police that you were attacked."
As she nodded, he pulled himself from her grip and walked away.
"Wait! What?! Where are you going?" she asked concerned.
He turned around and said." Don't worry about me… I am heading to my hotel and will figure out things from there."
She frowned, as he walked away again." Wait! Where are you staying at?" she asked.
He named a hotel and disappeared around the corner. Ana had the urge to run after him, but it was then when she heard a car. Kate!

As they waited in her apartment for Mr. Steele, Kate asked Ana questions about what had happened with Philip, but Ana wasn't even listening to her. As her mind drifted off to Christian, her heart jumped up from joy and fear. She was so happy to see him. When Ana was helping him to stand on his feet, she had inhaled his scent and realized how badly she had missed him. She wanted to tell him so much… to thank him for saving her from her lunatic ex…
God! Philip shot him! She was so afraid for Christian's life at the moment… He got hurt, as he tried to save her… yet again.
All of a sudden Ana decided to change the plan. She stood up from her seat, and looked at her best friend. "I have to be somewhere, Kate." She stated.
"Wait… what? I thought that you wanted my company. Your father is on his way here! We were going to report the attack to the Police! Ana!" Kate spat, her brows furrowing, because Ana wasn't making any sense to her right now.
"I know… and I am so sorry, but I have to go… now." Ana said, while walking away hastily out the front door.
Kate got up also and as she reached Ana in the hallway, she lightly grabbed her upper arm.
As Ana felt someone tugging on her arm, she turned around and looked at her best friend." I will be fine, Kate. Don't worry about me." she said, her eyes pleading and her voice convincing.
"Really? Are you sure?" Kate asked, genuinely concerned.
Ana smiled and said." Yes… I'm a hundred percent sure."

At the moment, Christian was in his hotel room. He had pulled his bloody shirt off of his body and attempted to disinfect his wound with alcohol. But it was kinda hard to do it himself, considering he had lost an amount of blood. As his fingers trembled heavily, he worked on his wound. At one point, he realized that he really needed help. As a sigh escaped his lips, Christian walked towards the night stand to grab his phone with much difficulty. And just as he was about to dial a number, he heard a knock on the door.
Christian groaned softly and wondered who it could be." Damn it!" he exclaimed.
He grabbed a black T-shirt to cover up his upper body, as he walked to the door. When he opened the door, his mouth fell slightly open.
"What are you doing here?!" he demanded.
"Well, I…" she began, but he cut her off.
"Come in before someone sees you here!" he ordered.
Ana furrowed her brows, and shook her head, but did as he asked. As he locked the door behind them, she looked around the hotel room. It was a very nice and expensive suite.
His gunshot wound was hurting like hell, but Christian ignored the gnawing pain. Instead he was worried about Ana… worried if that lunatic had hurt his whirlwind.
"Are you OK, Ana? Did he hurt you?" he asked, as he felt his anger rising.
'No one gets away with hurting her!' his inner monster growled mentally.
"Yeah… I am okay… a bit shaken up still. But I'm doing fine…" she replied, as she looked at him with loving eyes.
Ana cleared her throat and looked up at him, the look in her eyes filled with sorrow." Christian… I don't understand… You uhumm… you made sure I left Tinos… even though I specifically told you that I wanted to be with you… And yet you are here… in New York… yet again saving me from harm… I don't get you… Why? I feel that you are opening one door, but the second I am close to it, you slam it right in my face! What's going on, Christian? Tell me…" she pleaded.
Christian had decided weeks ago that Ana must never find out about the letter and the threats. And he also did not want to lie, so he deliberately changed the subject. "What are you doing here, Ana? I asked you to call your father and stay home with your friend… did you tell her what happened to you? Did you tell your father?" he asked, his eyes locking on hers.
She shook her head at that." No… I didn't. I didn't tell anyone about what happened." She said.
He huffed and stood right in front of her." Why are you SO STUBBORN?! You should report it, Ana!" Christian spat, and groaned softly.
At this point he couldn't bear the pain anymore… it hurt too much! Ana was just about to give him a piece of her mind, but it was then when she noticed that he was bleeding through his T-shirt!
"Oh God, Christian, your wound!" she exclaimed and helped him on his feet, as he had trouble with that.
She led him to the couch and made him lie down.
"Where's your first-aid kit?" she asked, as her heart pounded erratically.
She was so afraid to lose him… Christian told her then where she could get it, so Ana hastily walked towards the bathroom and grabbed the stuff needed. She came back with fresh towels and the kit.
"Pull your shirt over your head. Or is that too difficult? Must I use a scissor to cut it open?" she asked.
He shook his head and tried to lose the shirt, but instead he groaned from pain. She noticed that, so Ana immediately went to help him with the shirt. She gently pulled it over his head and began cleaning up his wound.
As her fingertips grazed his skin, Christian felt a shiver go through his whole body. When she gently used the alcohol to clean his wound, he groaned and snarled at her.
"Damn it, Ana! Can't you be any rougher?!" He exclaimed.
She couldn't believe he was acting out on her again! Rough? He calls this rough? I'll show him rough! She narrowed her eyes and went on cleaning the wound, but this time intentionally being less careful with him.
"Damn it, Ana! It hurts! Let me do it myself, OK?" he said, as he tried to sit up.
She glared at him, and said." Don't be such a big baby and STAY STILL, OK?! I'm gonna try to pull the bullet out. It isn't lodged that deep."
"Are you crazy?! You aren't a doctor! Let me do it myself!" he said and groaned from pain.
"Stubborn! That's what you are!" she scolded, as her chest heaved.
"I am stubborn?! You are the one who's STUBBORN! I asked you to tell your father what happened tonight and go to the Police to report what happened to you! And what do you do? You stubbornly did the opposite!" he snapped.
"I was worried about you, God damn it! And I just wanted to be here for you! My dad wouldn't have let me go, if he knew I was attacked tonight! I knew you needed my help, because you stubbornly didn't want to go to the hospital!" she exclaimed, looking at him like she wanted to strangle the man.
"You shouldn't have come here, Ana!" He growled.
She looked at him like she was challenging him." Go on, monster wanna come out! Let him come out! I am not afraid of you, Christian! I am not afraid of the monster… not anymore. Let him come out then!" she exclaimed, her breath becoming shallow, her chest heaving.
Christian huffed loudly and broke eye contact. But after a few moments his eyes darted back towards her." Just pull the bullet out, Ana!" He ordered, his eyes boring into hers.
At this point, Ana had enough of him acting so cold towards her. His invisible walls were up again, even after he miraculously appeared in New York and saved her again. She desperately wanted to tell him that she loved him and missed him, but he was being 'JERK Christian' again! Oh, she had the urge to shut him up, by kissing him on those delicious lips. Hard! Very hard...
'Yeah, that would definitely shut him up!' Ana thought.
But as the wheels in her head started to turn, Ana all of a sudden had a better idea…
This was an evil act, but she knew that he was not going to willingly explain his actions to her. He wasn't going to be open with her and explain why he had drugged her and put her on a plane back to New York. So, even though it pained her, Ana shook her head, as tears pooled in her pretty eyes.
"No… I'm not going to pull out the bullet…First I need you to explain to me… w-why you DRUGGED me, Christian. After I faced the monster in Tinos that day, even though I was scared out of my mind and told you that I wanted to be with you. Tell me... Why did you d-drug me?" Ana asked, as the hairs on the back of her neck stood up, while a tear rolled down her cheek.
Note: Oh my God! Can Ana really be that harsh?
