Warning: Mention/Implication of suicide

After this I will probably go back to write Dragon's Rite's 3rd chapter. I was thinking of two chapters, then swapped back to this. That one included my OCs and isn't a crossover. Though, thank you so much for reading my story or stories, it means a lot.

Merry reading!

Though the flight wasn't very long, I ended up closing my eyes and laid my head on the cool window. It wasn't the alcohol, but it may have been the cold air within this 'helicopter'; I overheard Harald and Sebastian calling this thing such. When I woke up, the helicopter started going down as I saw the ground again. It was quite a mountainous area, but there were people living near it. From the look of it, the mountains looked climbable, but the snow could make things more difficult.

"Ganyu, would you like to come with me?" The door of the helicopter slid open by Sebastian; Harald put his hand out. I nodded and took his hand as he helped me get off the transport. Honestly, the dropping from the helicopter to the ground was very minor but higher than I would expect. Furthermore, I wouldn't want to be stuck in here sleeping for how many hours. "Are you cold?" He asked and looked at me with slight concern.

"Oh, no, I am fine, Harald." For now, at least. If we get any closer to the mountain, I might need some more cover up to keep myself warm. I couldn't help but think about the time me and the others were exploring Dragonspine, it was such a hassle but truthfully, seeing us together running for the fire was kind of hilarious and scary at the same time. Strangely enough, it was bearable and not as cold here so there was no reason to rush for somewhere warm, though it would be better like that. Even then, we were close to a certain building, it was big, so I would expect it to be warm inside. It was definitely colder than the inside of the helicopter so far, though.

Harald began walking in a certain direction, which I followed while Sebastian stayed in the helicopter. He and I headed to a certain room to see a sick man lying on the bed. I knew he must be old, but something told me there was something that led him to this situation. At the moment, he was asleep but as Harald took another step the man woke up, slightly and understandably confused. In all honesty, the information Sebastian must be so accurate it led him to this exact place.

"Who might you be?" The man asked, Harald sitting down on the chair next to him and I stayed on another side, standing up with my hands behind my back. He must be tired, I felt like it was kind of rude. Harald gave him a smile and started to speak again.

"I am the one who inherits the power of Odin, Father of the Aesir." At first, the man on the bed seemed to not have believed him. I would have assumed he would have a son who inherits the card, Thor, Lord of the Aesir. As proof, Harald held up his Odin card and made his Rune Eye visible to the man and he seemed to believe so now. "Please, I need Thor to complete my goal."

"So, you are the one." He glanced at the drawer next to him, then looked at Harald again while he pointed to the drawer. "Will you open the drawer for me?" Harald did so and found the card he wanted to see: Thor, Lord of the Aesir. I walked over and took a look at the card myself. "Unfortunately, my son has left this card along with his pride." To my surprise, Harald looked to be slightly uneasy when the father said so. "My son is in the mountains, as if he's wishing for death." I wish I could ask what happened, but I felt as if it would be too rude. Suicide, I felt like I have no place to discuss this matter. However, losing pride was absolutely understandable to me, it is very important to light up the human soul or else they fall into despair. "Please give it back to Dragan, and take back his pride."

"I promise." Harald replied with solemnity.

As we were heading to find where 'Dragan' is, I also noticed that my wind glider was still with me. I got an idea, but I wasn't sure if Harald would approve of it.

"Ah, umm, Harald?" He turned over and looked at me, "H-have you glided before?"

"I... I have. But why asked? Would you like to glide down the mountain?" He was definitely unsettled by this, like he felt something bad was going to come. He looked at me, and I looked at him.

"Yes please. I-I will even try finding Dragan for you."

Although it was difficult to convince him at first, he finally let me. I spread my Wings of Concealing Snow and the snowy wind led me closer to two people in the mountains as the father mentioned.

"Dragan, what are you thinking!? It's dangerous that way!" I heard a man's voice yelling, most likely to Dragan who was still climbing. Sadly, Dragan didn't even listen nor look back at his companion but only continued and the man just looked as if he gave up. At the corner of my eye, I noticed that an avalanche at the top of the mountain started falling down. It was too late.

"Uh!" As the thick piles of snow started to fall down, the wind was affected as well which stumbled me slightly, though I managed to stay in track and continue moving downward.

Despite that, I looked down again to see no Dragan but only piles of snow. Fortunately, as I hurried down, I could see Dragan's body and he was still moving a little (thank the Archons) so I went down to shake his body. He was only unconscious and Harald seemed to notice as well as the helicopter started to decrease its height from the ground, coming down from a rope ladder. He was also wearing winter clothes, I guess I am the only one who is slowly freezing from the sheer cold here. That... is fine.

"Ah." Harald noticed that Dragan started to gain consciousness again, which was a relief, I thought he would be down for a little while. He put back his poker face and looked Dragan straight in the eyes, "You can't die easily, the Rune Eye is protecting you." Dragan was understandably confused as to what Harald was saying, and the reason he was still alive. "I need you to come with me and fight alongside us."

"Who- Who are you?" He managed to get up and looked at me, then back to Harald. He paused for a bit before showing the Odin card to Dragan.

"My name is Harald, and this is Ganyu. I am the one who inherited the power of Odin, Father of the Aesir. He is one of the three Aesir cards." He looked back at the helicopter and then to me, "Ganyu, you must be cold. Feel free to go back first." He smiled at me, and I smiled back at his kindness. I carefully went back up into the helicopter, and Dragan and Harald shortly followed back in. "Dragan," Harald took out the Thor card and handed it to Dragan, "It is yours."

"No. I have no right to have it." Dragan simply shook his head.

"But... Your father wants you to have it." I gently took the card off Harald's hand and walked up to Dragan, held the card with my two hands and forwarded it to him. He was stunned by my motion, but he finally took the card and his Rune Eye appeared as the card emitted a white light for a short period of time. "You can fight with us, Dragan. We will help you get your pride back." I looked into his eyes, "You have signed the contract of fate." I lightened up my face a little, "Please, accept it."

That was enough to convince him, though I do wonder if putting one's fate in their face is considered forceful. However, Dragan seemed to understand what he had gotten into and didn't mind so, he even smiled a little as we continued flying to find the third and last Aesir card. I knew it was what his father wanted.

On one occasion, Dragan walked over to the seat next to mine and sat down. At first, I thought he was going to sit down and pour himself a drink but then he started talking to me.

"What's your connection with Harald? Sorry if this sounds rude..." Dragan pointed at Harald at the front who was busy reading a thick book. "I just wasn't sure

"W-well..." I tried to put my situation into words, as I wouldn't know if he would believe me in the slightest. I wasn't entirely sure if I could be counted as a guest since he brought me along. "I guess I just assist him in general. Although, I might as well be a guest since he really cares for me both in and out of his mansion." Dragan probably knew Harald had a big income somehow, but it was quite hard to believe he just found me and took me in so I didn't talk about that part. I still think about that, honestly.

"I see... Also..." he pointed at my horns before speaking but then put his hand down. "Never mind. Sorry. I thought it's quite cute." I blushed slightly and giggled, his weakness is so unexpected yet it's absolutely adorable. Although I usually feel uncomfortable when people talk about my horns, it felt reassuring when Harald and Dragan were interested in them in a good way since they seemed very welcoming. I shifted a little close to him and playfully nuzzled him with one of my horns. "Ah-!?" He was clearly taken by surprise; he then became a blushing mess. I simply laughed and made an escape by going to the bathroom at the back of the helicopter.

I honestly think being with them has opened me more than I would do. Most likely because I wasn't stuck in an office all day and night while being a workaholic. This could be very fun and entertaining.

"Harald, is that it?" I pointed at a gigantic tree in the middle of the island which had a similar silhouette to the one at Harald's place. He nodded and hopped off the boat with Dragan, then I did the same. "Should we go a separate way?"

"How about..." Dragan was about to speak up until Harald cut him off.

"You can come with me, Ganyu." Harald took my hand and I nodded automatically.

"Well, I will be looking around a bit then come back." Dragan forced a smile on his defeat as he started to trail off somewhere else. Was he upset I didn't get to come with him?

As Harald and I were about to enter deeper into the forest, we met a young man who seemed to be inhabiting the island.

"Huh? Who are you people? Pirates again?" He raised an eyebrow as he looked at us both. I suppose pirates are bad everywhere, in every world. Though, I couldn't help but think that the ones I have seen gave me a good impression like Beidou. I looked at him, he had dull green eyes contrasting with his red hair, less dull in colour and sharper than Diluc's.

"No. Though, I guess you could say we are looking for something valuable to us." Harald pointed to the direction we were about to head, "Do you happen to know anything?" He may or may not take that pirate comment to heart, as his rare frustrated smile peered on his face.

"Hmmm, I can get you there but... Ah, forget it. Follow me. Call me Brave, also." He sighed, as he proceeded to walk in front of us, leading us to where we wanted to go. Harald and I agreed to follow him anyway. This could just be me, but this unfamiliar young man in front of us sent me a playful nature from his weird comfort with seeing two random people on this island. Though, I supposed Harald was like that as well. I must have been overthinking it. "Honestly, for real, I thought you were the pirate, not the cutie you got." Brave turned back and winked at me, clearly trying to flirt. Though, it worked. I was flustered as to why he even made that comment when I was expecting him to silently lead us the way. I decided to hide behind Harald, who was looking unamused with his joke-flirt. I thought Harald would be able to handle it better? "Ahaha, it was only a joke!" He laughed and continued, "Well, it's this way, my good sir." He bowed, as Harald entered but then he stopped me.

"Uh... I-I am his assistant." I wasn't sure what to say to him, but something told me he was definitely interested in me.

"No, no. I just need help with something." Brave pointed at his left with his thumb. "You see, the rumour is that this place is haunted. It's best if you don't go." I shook my head, but he continued, "And I need to stay guard here in case anything happens to your man. Can you go, uh," He glanced down slightly, still pointing, "Go grab some coconuts?" He sounded like he was holding a laugh. That was obviously suspicious, but I knew there was no point to convince him anyway.

"A-Alright...?" I shrugged and walked over to where he told me to go, I turned around to see he was looking at me to make sure I went. I hurried up to get the coconuts he asked, with hesitation. "Eeeeh... He really expected me to climb these trees?" I looked around taking off my shirt, thankfully I had my usual body-suit under everything else. It was a very expensive-looking shirt, and I didn't want to ruin it. I tied it around my waist and started to climb. However, midway through, I heard a couple of footsteps from Harald and Brave's direction. Thinking I should focus on Harald first, I got down and followed the sound of the footsteps. "Is everyone okay...?"

Suddenly, a random lightning struck down the cliff and I hurried to check it. It seemed like Harald and Dragan had caught up to him. I glided down and landed next to the three men, the one getting surrounded was the red-headed one. I knew something was up about him.

"Hey, it was just a joke, alright? You can have it." He pouted, since he was in total loss. Though, Harald and Dragan, and I had the same idea and shook our heads.

"I don't think I will take it. It's yours." Harald stood up, taking out the Odin card and showed it to the redhead. I went behind the confused redhead and noticed that the card he had in his hand was Loki, Lord of the Aesir, it was the final card we needed for this mission.

"Although, I think it's best to explain it to him first." I suggested it to Harald, in which he nodded. With more and more explanation, it felt dragged out even with Harald's voice. In the end, Brave was still or more confused than anything was. Who could blame him? Dragan had a similar reaction, and was thinking of declining this at first, but he opened up. I bent down and gave Brave a pocket mirror, he opened the cover and was shocked to see that he got the Rune Eye as Dragan and Harald said.

"Hm, fine, I believe you." He frowned. "But..."

"Hmmm... I fully understand why he doesn't want to leave them." I kneeled down and gently rubbed a girl who was upset to the point of crying about his leave. "Don't worry, he will be back." I smiled gently, "How about a little present to remind him with everyone?" I got up and hung a cloverleaf knot on the wooden wall, next to the window. "It means good luck! For both Brave and everyone here."

"Then can you stay with us instead? You're so nice and kind!" One of the boys leaned and looked at me expectantly. Awww, they were such sweet children! I felt awful that fate had to separate them apart with the only trusted adult figure around.

"Aha, I wish. But I'm sorry. I wrote some notes for guides and some quotes to motivate everyone as well." I showed them a page of scribbles I did with something like 'Keep your chin up and look for the stars!' and simple adventure guides I heard during my time in Teyvat, though Brave could possibly already teach them everything else. Someone behind me sniggered, it was most likely Brave, then Harald started to chuckle as well.

"As she said, don't worry. I will come back ASAP!" He grinned and had a group hug with all the children. To me, this was such a wholesome yet heartbroken at the same time for me. They were a family, indeed. Taking them away would be difficult, but then again some chose to be away from their own natural environment, like me. Different people would have their own decisions after all.

"By the way, Ganyu." Brave untied a ribbon around an unopened wine bottle on the shelf and put it back, still holding the red ribbon. "Back then, what were the wings you had?" He wrapped the ribbon around and unwrapped it, and fiddled with it and repeated.

"That reminds me, when I was in the mountains, I did see someone with wings so that must be you." Dragan turned around to face us.

"Oh, it was my wind glider. It... Came out from my back since it is installed on my back. I always have it with me, and have always been like that." I honestly couldn't explain how it conveniently appeared, even if I had some kind of explanation they wouldn't believe so.

"Hmm, that's interesting and sounds very convenient." Brave took something out of his pocket and opened his hand. My Vision was on his palm. There. On his palm. Not my waist.

"You stole this!?" I slightly raised my voice and snatched it back from his palm, reattaching it back to my waist in anger. I couldn't believe this guy could just grab the Loki card AND take my Vision. Breathe, Ganyu, breathe.

"Sorry, sorry!" He wasn't even scared; he was amused by my anger. "God, you're cute when you're angry." He patted my head and I pouted. I just couldn't believe how far he would go. "Come on, come on, I got it back to you. Don't be mad." He smirked and tied the ribbon on my horn, which felt weird when I wasn't told about contacting my horns first.

"Brave, I just wanted to say that her 'trinket' is very important to her." Harald turned around, putting a bookmark inside his book and walked over to get himself a drink.

"Plus, Brave, you did the same with Loki." Dragan cracked an amused smile. Glad to know everyone had the same view of Brave. "You're upsetting any of us and we are throwing you out of this helicopter." He chuckled.

"Y- You all are ganging on me now!?" He yelled, and we started laughing together despite Brave's embarrassment.

"Sounds like those three like you, romantically." Lynae brushed my hair before retying the red ribbon Brave gave to me. It was the next morning after everything had happened. Honestly, I felt slightly 'jetlagged' (The three called it that so I guess it must be it) and still tired from the long yet somewhat short journey, it just felt like everything happened in one day but it didn't.

"There is no way." I shook my head, "I guess they're just very friendly." I shrugged and got up, stretching. Though, what comes after all those?

"Master Harald smiles more often." She insisted. "Honestly, Miss Ganyu, you're a very pretty lady. Master Harald doesn't usually just go for looks though, well... You are also quite gentle and kind in terms of personality."

"Lynae..." I sighed and walked out with her following me. Harald had made her my personal maid even though I did not belong to this mansion, but a guest. Though, I guessed I had nowhere to go and Harald took me in.

"Also, milady." That title was what she called me as a way of teasing me. "Do you perhaps know how to duel?"

"A duel? As in, combat?" This was new to me. The only kind of 'duel' I could hold up was combat-wise. Perhaps duelling means something different in this world? I was confused, but made it more obvious when I pointed at my Amos' bow on the shelf.

"No, no! Although duel does mean something like that. Normally, a duel is where two people participate in a card game together. It can range from a casual to even tournaments." Lynae explained. Card game? The word 'game' associated me with more casual and playful activity, though I guessed it could be taken seriously somehow. "Master Harald requested that I seek a deck you could use, since... He pretty much assumed you would know how to play it. But I guessed not." She gave me a thick case, assumingly full of cards for 'duelling'. "Don't worry, though! Master Harald and the others can teach you how to. It's... I guess beginner-friendly." I honestly couldn't trust that. "That said, I brought that up since I was thinking of inviting you to the Fortune Cup held. I wanted to go there for my holiday."

"Do I need this? I wasn't planning to participate..." I looked at the card while trying to pin my Vision onto the deck holder, and I succeeded. Then, Lynae handed me a rose gold chain with a place to attach the case and the chain was for around my waist.

"Of course not, Miss Ganyu. I was thinking we could just go there to watch. It's like... A couple of weeks or so?" Lynae and I stopped in front of the dining room, though I didn't enter since I wanted to listen more. "I managed to get some tickets for it and bought two, one for each other!"

"Well, I would love that, Lynae. You're so considerate." I smiled. I wasn't sure if there was a world for me to go back to Teyvat, but if there was, I should spend time here as much as possible so I have no regrets later. However, it sure was strange to not be seeing a pile of works again.

"I will update more if anything happens. Enjoy your breakfast, Miss Ganyu." I nodded as the maid left.

Duelling, huh? A word used for a non-combat game, played for entertainment or as a cutthroat game. I should study this further more along with the Gods Harald, Dragan and Brave have received and its history. There were so many mysteries to this world, though I do wonder if this world was perhaps older and more futuristic than Teyvat in any way. Despite everything, I considered these people my new team, but I shouldn't forsake my original otherworldly team as well. Maybe if I could duel, maybe there was a way to go back? Though, considering anything could happen in this world, I wouldn't cross off the possibility...

I think Lynae is fun to write, for whatever reason. I wanted her to be like a dutiful but also friendly and energetic maid. I think Little Miss Ganyu needs that tbh.

But as you can tell, I do plan for Ganyu to duel. With someone or something. Man, I had to write about the Fortune Cup and now I have to write about what happens in the tournament in another story. Pray for me~
