"So how are you feeling, Skip?" Lana asks as she eats her peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It is currently lunchtime, and the tomboy and her boyfriend are eating together at a two-seat table.
"A little worried," Skippy replied.
"How come?"
"Lately, my arm got stepped on, and I almost popped! Because of that, our class is starting to notice my abilities!"
"Ooh, that's gonna be a problem. How are you going to deal with it?"
"I'm not sure, but I'll figure it out."
"You better think of something soon, or people will figure out you're the Malleable Balloon Boy!" Lana warns.
"Relax! I'll think of something! But first…" Skippy stretches his arm towards a trash can and throws away his trash; then, he stretches it back. "Now how would I keep my powers a secret?"
Throughout the remainder of the day, Skippy kept thinking about what to do with his superpower to prevent it from causing more mishaps like the ones that occurred during school. He kept on brainstorming until he arrived home.
The next day, Lana and Skippy are again walking together to school for the second day of classes.
"So… have any ideas about how to keep your powers a secret?" asked Lana.
"Actually, I think in order to avoid any accidents, I should have my powers removed," replied Skippy.
"REMOVED?!" The tomboy is in utter shock. "WHY?!"
"Well… my parents found out."
Suddenly, the scene transitions to a flashback from yesterday when Skippy arrives home from school and is greeted by Hilda, his mother.
"Welcome back, son! How was your first day of second grade?"
"It was fine," Skippy replies indifferently.
Mike, Skippy's father, walks by and notices his son. "Skippy! You're back!" He joins the conversation. "Tell us more about it!"
"Well…" As Skippy was about to explain his day at school, he is suddenly interrupted by a hiccup. The hiccup causes Skippy's body to immediately inflate much to Hilda and Mike's absolute shock.
"You're blowing up?!" Mike screeched.
"Uh…" Then, Skippy hiccups again and inflates more.
Hilda faints as she is overwhelmed by horror.
"Son! What is the meaning of this?!" Mike demanded.
Skippy deflates. "Well… remember the day the meteor struck my friends and I and destroyed the playground a few months ago?"
"What about it?"
"Well… it gave me stretchy powers."
"SAY WHAAAAAAAAAAA?!" Mike is in utter shock again.
The flashback ends, and the scene transitions back to the present day.
"So… yeah," Skippy concludes his narration.
"Darn those hiccups!" Lana swore.
"Crazy how a mishap exposed my super identity, huh?"
"Anyway," Lana inquires, "are you sure giving up your powers is a good idea? I mean it's not like your parents grounded you or anything! Did they?"
Soon, both arrive at school.
"Nope. But still…" Skippy enters the building.
Lana remains standing, thinking of a way to convince Skippy to reconsider his decision. Soon, she receives an idea.
