Reyna parked her car outside of Bianca's restaurant and stared ahead. The entire drive over had her lost in a field of thoughts. Nico had just been with Reyna. After carrying Jason inside and making sure he was secured to the chair, he was going to walk to see Will.

Did someone take Nico off of the streets? If so, who the fuck would dare to do that? All of Reyna's men knew that Nico was off limits, and if anyone didn't know that, they weren't good enough to be able to take Nico. Reyna took a deep breath and looked around the parking lot.

The only car there was Bianca's, which was odd. The restaurant should have been open and busy. Instead, it looked like most of the lights were off. Reyna carefully got out of her car and grabbed one of her crutches. As she hobbled forward, she used her free hand to call Nico's number.

Reyna listened to the phone ring and waited for someone to pick up. The only people stupid enough to touch Nico would be one of her rivals. If it was a small-time gang, they would probably answer the phone just to taunt her. What if it was the vigilantes, though?

Did they somehow know that Reyna had been watching Jason, waiting for the right moment to take him? Did they see her and Nico take Jason and decided to take Nico to arrange a switch? If so, they would answer the phone, or they would be getting ready to call her. If those vigilantes even touched Nico, she would kill all of them. Feelings for Thalia be damned.

"Hello?"

Reyna stopped walking as she heard the voice. She slowly spoke, "Nico?"

"Considering you called me, yeah. Did your captive already break free?" Nico asked in a joking tone. Reyna stared at the ground. If Nico was talking to her now, why was Bianca texting her? "Reyna?"

"Bianca texted me. She said to come to the restaurant and that you were in trouble," Reyna answered. She grabbed her gun from her holster. "I'm going in."

"I'll be there soon," Nico replied. All the humor from his voice was gone.

"Got it," Reyna said. She hung up and slipped her phone into her pocket. Reyna threw her crutch to the side and hobbled forward. It hurt like hell to put any pressure on her knee, but she couldn't be too noisy. Reyna gripped her gun and opened the front door.

Upon not seeing anything, Reyna slowly stepped into the restaurant. Her eyes shot around, but nothing looked out of the ordinary. There was no blood or any kind of stains on the ground. Nothing was broken. All of the tables had chairs on top of them. The lights were off. It just looked like Bianca had closed early. Or never opened.

Reyna slowly inched forward. As she stepped, she made it towards the backroom, she heard footsteps and pots shuffling from the kitchen. Reyna's eyes shot to the side, and she stepped into the kitchen. While the kitchen didn't have any lights on, she could see someone sitting against the wall: Bianca.

"Bianca," Reyna said as she lowered her gun. The worst of thoughts ran through her head. Reyna stepped forward and heard a noise right next to her. She turned her head, but it wasn't quick enough as the butt of a gun slammed into her jaw.

Reyna collapsed to the ground, stunned by the blow. She felt someone roughly grab her arms as her gun was kicked away. Reyna blinked a few times and slowly moved her jaw. Her hands were roughly tied behind her back.

"What the fuck do you want?" Reyna snarled as she turned her head. She heard someone walk towards her. Reyna focused on the black shoes and then slowly looked up to the person's blue jeans and the toga hanging over it. "Octavian."

"Are you surprised?" Octavian asked sarcastically. He waved his hand, and Reyna was pulled to her feet. She hissed as pain tore through her knee. Reyna was thrown against a counter. Her knee buckled out from underneath her, and she crumpled back to the ground, unable to catch herself.

"Fuck!" Reyna hissed. She buried her face in the cold kitchen floor and tried to twist her arms in the ropes that kept her trapped. Someone pinned her and buried a knee in her back. Octavian walked towards Reyna and stepped on the back of her knee. "Fuck!"

"You think you're so high and mighty," Octavian sneered as he twisted his heel against her leg, digging it harshly into the ground. Reyna yelled in pain and buried her face in the unforgiving brick floor. "How does it feel to be the one begging?"

"Can you shut the fuck up?" Reyna gasped. She slowly looked up at Octavian. "No, I'm not fucking surprised. I knew you were going to stab me in the back. Why do you think I gave you that advice back in the hospital? I don't have anyone I care about, so who the fuck were you going to use against me!?"

"You really think everything is about you, don't you?" Octavian questioned. He studied Reyna and then laughed. "I could have snapped my fingers anytime I wanted and have my men take you out."

"If you think any of my men would follow you, I promise that you are in for a rude awakening," Reyna snarled. "You may have some low level thugs that listen to you, but-"

Reyna's words dissolved into a scream as Octavian stomped down on the back of her knee. Rasps and wheezes left her as she tried to calm her breathing. Pain ran up and down her leg, and all she wanted to do was cry in agony. Instead, she glared up at Octavian.

"This isn't about you," Octavian snapped. "No. It's about Nico di Angelo. That little fuck has been killing some of my contacts and fucking my plans up. So, I am going to kill two birds with one stone. Kill you and take your position. Then, I'll have some fun with his sister before putting a bullet in her heart. It's like you said: he'll be so mad that he will come straight for me."

Reyna stared up at Octavian. That advice wasn't meant to be helpful. How could she not see that Octavian was targeting Nico? Had she lost that much control of her men? Why didn't Reyna know this was going to happen?

"Kahale, pick her up," Octavian ordered. Reyna felt the knee leave her back, and she shifted enough to look up at Michael Kahale. Fuck. She was going to have to kill him after all. Kahale picked her up off of the ground, and he kept her standing as her knee gave out.

"I remember every insult that you said to me," Octavian sneered. He studied Reyna, looking her up and down. "Every insult. Every time you called me an idiot or told me you didn't have time for my shit. Before I kill you, I want you to understand who the real idiot is."

"Still you," Reyna hissed. Octavian glared and snapped his fingers. Another man walked past them and towards a stirring Bianca. He jerked Bianca to her feet and wrapped one arm around her neck. The man held Bianca in front of her and placed a gun to her head, using her as a human shield.

"Octavian, you don't know what the fuck you're getting into," Reyna warned. She watched Bianca slowly lift her head and blink rapidly. Her eyes came back into focus, and she looked at Reyna. "If you kill me, you're going to piss off my lieutenants. They will fuck your day up and ruin any plans you have. Not to mention my sister."

"And, you want to kill Bianca just to piss off Nico? You do realize that he will turn this entire country upside down to get to you, and if you think anger is going to make him sloppy, you're wrong," Reyna continued. Octavian walked towards her and got in her face.

"I'm tired of hearing you talk," Octavian said. He punted his foot right into Reyna's knee. Reyna yelled in pain again and felt both of her legs give out. Kahale kept her standing without issue. A second kick caused Reyna to see stars from pain, and Kahale let go of her.

Reyna collapsed in a heap and pressed her face into the ground. A yell of anger and pain left her again. She tried to blink away the tears of pain in her eyes. Reyna slowly spoke, "K...Kahale. Just stop."

"He's my lieutenant. Not yours," Octavian growled. Reyna buried her face back in the ground, and Octavian laughed. "You always thought you were on top of the world."

"I am," Reyna retorted quietly. She slowly looked at Octavian. "You do realize that I am in the position I am because I don't underestimate my opponents. I do my research."

"I didn't underestimate you or Nico," Octavian sneered. "So, shut your damn mouth for once."

A smirk came to Reyna's face, and she spoke, "Wasn't talking about the two of us."

Reyna heard a gasp, and her eyes shot to the side. She watched as Bianca twisted out of the grasp of the man that held her. Bianca disarmed him and fired a bullet into his head. Two more bullets fired from Reyna's other side, and she watched one bullet hit Kahale in his chest. The other tore through his skull a millisecond later. Kahale was dead on the ground before Octavian could register what just happened.

Reyna rolled onto her back and slowly scooted towards the oven. Bianca kept her gun trained on Octavian, and all Octavian could do was gawk. Out of the shadows, Nico appeared holding his own smoking gun.

"Do you know why we came to America in the first place?" Bianca asked Octavian as she approached him. Octavian just stared and looked ready to piss his toga. "Our family had two businesses, and our father only wanted us to be involved in one. We received plenty of training, but after he died, we left behind the Italian mafia and made our way here. He would hate that we started a pizza business."

Reyna's ear perked up as she heard sirens in the distance. Her heart skipped a beat. While Reyna could easily get herself out of jail, things would be different for Nico and Bianca. If they were arrested, it would put them on the radar for the federal government and the Italian mafia that was still looking for them.

"Reyna, tell them to put the guns down," Octavian begged as he turned his head. "Please. I can be a loyal lieu-"

"Kill him," Reyna interrupted. She watched both siblings fire in sync, and she felt nothing as two bullets tore into Octavian's skull. His body fell a short moment later. Reyna looked at Nico and Bianca. "Leave."

"We're not leaving you," Bianca refused as she hurried to Reyna's side. Nico did as well. Reyna shook her head. She was sure that she had hit some kind of trigger for the police alarm when she walked into the restaurant.

"This is going to draw too much attention to you if you are arrested. Just leave," Reyna practically begged. She winced as Bianca helped her out of the ropes. "They can't touch me."

"We're not leaving," Nico repeated, but there was a thoughtful look on Bianca's face. She finally nodded and gently grabbed Nico's arm. "We can't!"

"Reyna's right. She'll be fine if she is arrested, but we can't take that chance," Bianca explained. Nico didn't look too happy, but he nodded. The two quickly left. Reyna laid her head back against the counter and closed her eyes tightly.

When Reyna was sure the two were gone, she sunk into the ground and let out soft cries of pain. She gripped her knee with both hands and wished the pain would stop. One hand wiped away her tears of pain. Her plan now was to pass out and let the police take care of the situation. They would know better than to piss her off.

Two things kept Reyna from blissful unconsciousness. One was the burning pain in her leg. The other was her racing thoughts. She wished Octavian suffered a more painful death than he had. Now, she was going to have to root out his supporters without having definite proof of them.

Reyna heard the front door open. She tried to stop her crying as she heard someone make their way into the kitchen. Someone knelt by her, and Reyna slowly looked up expecting to see cops. A frown came to her face, "Thalia? How?"

"Jason called me and told me what happened. He said you wanted to talk but had an emergency. I heard about the alarm on the police scanner and took a chance," Thalia explained. Her head shot behind her. "When I got here, I heard gunshots. Then, I saw those two leaving. I was really nervous about what I was going to walk into. What hurts?"

Instead of answering, Reyna closed her eyes. Thalia gently grabbed her arm and spoke, "Reyna?"

"Knee," Reyna finally answered. She gasped as Thalia suddenly scooped her up and carried her out of the kitchen. "W...what are you doing?"

"We can't have that talk if you're in jail," Thalia said. She rushed outside and threw open her car door. Thalia carefully laid her in the back seat. Reyna gasped and curled up in a small ball, gripping her knee with both hands. Strangled gasps and curses escaped her. A hand suddenly grabbed hers.

"It's going to be okay," Thalia whispered. She studied Reyna's eyes. "That doctor that saved you. Do you think he will treat you if I take you to his clinic?"

Reyna nodded and studied Thalia's eyes. The vigilante gently squeezed her hand and then pulled away. Thalia closed the door and got into the driver's seat. Reyna laid her head back and closed her eyes. She tried to keep it together as Thalia rushed down the street. It didn't take long for the pain to pull her into unconsciousness.
