As bubbles started floating out of the kitchen, a scream of fright was heard and Lunch Lady came flying out of the kitchen screaming, "Lionel! Lionel! Sir Lionel"

She flew outside and stopped where Lionel and Dash were sparring against each other. She then began to speak in panic, "The kitchen! Help!"

Lionel stopped and called out to Dash, "Hold it son! Hold it!"

But Dash kept sparring, causing Lionel's helmet to fall off. Lionel shouted, "Dash!"

But Dash kept going. Lionel had to block the blows with his shield and then shouted, "STOP!"

He slammed his sword right on Dash's helmet, causing him to fall to the ground and stop in a daze. With that over with, Lionel turned his attention to Lunch Lady and asked, "Now, what's all the commotion?"

"It's the kitchen! It's under an evil spell! It's bewitched and I swear, I'm not using my powers at all!" Lunch Lady shouted in fear.

Lionel at first was shocked, but then frowned as he knew there was only one other person who could be doing that. Clockwork.

"Oh! I bet it's that old goat Clocky." Lionel said in annoyance. He began to head for the kitchen as he called out to Dash who was having trouble removing his now dented helmet from his head, "Come on son. I knew he would give us trouble."

Dash finally pulled the helmet off his head, though he was still in a bit of a daze thanks to the hit on the head. Lionel entered the kitchen and stopped right in his tracks as he saw exactly what Lunch Lady was talking about. The kitchen was still cleaning itself thanks to Clockwork's spell.

"Gazoot! Black magic of the worse kind!" Lionel shouted as Dash entered the kitchen behind him.

"Come on Dash! Attack!" Lionel said, swinging his sword behind him, but accidentally hit Dash on the head with the flat part of the blade hard, causing his son to yelp and hold his head in pain.

Lionel began smashing the floating dishes with his sword and then began to try and push them back with his weapon. Suddenly he was splashed in the face with water from a fire bellow, causing him to turn around and the dishes began to push him forward towards the tub of soapy water.

He tried to push them back and this time, try to stop them with his sword. But because the dish was made out of metal, he swung so hard that the metal of the pan smashed his sword to pieces on impact. The dishes then pushed Lionel hard into the tub of soapy water.

"Heaven preserve us!" Lunch Lady exclaimed in shock as she saw the scene.

"Dash!" Lionel screamed as he was thrown back and forth in the tub. On one side, he was hit the head with the pan and the other side, he was scrubbed hard with the two brushes.

Dash couldn't help his father as he was already having trouble fighting against the brooms and mops. He tried to cut one of the mops down to size, but it flew up and hit him in the nose and then hit him on the head three times. The broom behind him then whacked him in the back and he turned to attack it, but the mop acted quickly and wrapped itself around his head and dragged him down to the floor.

The mop then began to clean the floor with Dash's head, even dipping his head in the buck of water and going back to mopping the floor, while the broom behind him continued to whack him on the back.

Clockwork and Danny arrived back to the kitchen and were shocked to see all the commotion. Danny shouted expressing his shock, "SUFFERING SPOOKS!"

Clockwork immediately cast his spell to stop all the work, "ALAKAZAP!"

Everything came to a stop and all the remaining dishes fell to the floor, leaving a soaking wet Lionel in the tub. He coughed and then glared as he saw Clockwork floating there.

"There you are you old goat!" He said as he tried to get out of the tub. "What's the idea of flinging your evil spells all over the place?"

He turned to Dash who got himself free of the mop and asked, "Help me out of here son."

Dash lifted and pulled his father out the tub, only to slip and fall in himself. Lionel walked right up to Clockwork and asked blowing bubbles out of his mouth, "Well, what you have got to say for yourself hmmm?"

Clockwork frowned back and asked, "You call simply washing dishes and sweeping floors a work of evil?"

"I'll decide what's right and wrong around here! Besides, it's the boy's job. One of his duties." Lionel said firmly.

He then frowned at Danny and said sternly, "And as for you, if you want to make that trip to London, you better toll the mark."

Lunch Lady walked up to Clockwork and snapped, "You old goat! If I ever catch you in my kitchen again I'll…"

"Madame, you won't." Clockwork cut in before disappearing into thin air, taking everyone by surprise once more.

"We ought to run the old geezer right out of the castle." Dash suggested.

Lionel's eyes widened in fear at that and said to Dash while looking around warily for any sign of Clockwork, "Oh no! No! No! He might cast an evil spell on the lot of us. Turn us all to stone. There's no telling what the old devil might do."

Danny had enough and spoke out against his foster father, "He's not an old devil! He's good and his magic is good too. Now leave him alone!"

Lionel definitely did not like the sound of Danny's attitude and warned him, "Now look here boy, that's three more demerits."

But Danny wasn't finished and even the threat of demerits could stop him from speaking, "Just because you can't understand something, it doesn't mean it's wrong! You make all the rules and no-one else can say anything!"

Lionel had enough and snapped, "You've said plenty boy! All that popping off has just cooked your goose."

He turned to Dash and decided which made Dash smile, "Dash, from now on Youngblood is your squire."

He walked out of the kitchen saying one final word to Danny, "You hear that boy? Youngblood is going to be Dash's squire."

Danny nodded and didn't say anything else. Dash looked at the broom that attacked him before and sliced it in half. He then smirked and said to Danny as he followed his father out of the kitchen, "That'll teach you to pop off you pipsqueak."

As soon as they had gone, Danny had looked down. He really did want to go to London and now…he just blew his chance. Lunch Lady looked at him with sympathy and placed a hand on his shoulder as she said, "It'll be alright dearie. Maybe if we give Sir Lionel a few days to calm down, he might change his mind."

Danny nodded and said with a sigh, "I better start cleaning up."

That night, Danny sat down in the kitchen looking down at the broken broom in sadness. Clockwork then appeared and said, "I'm sorry lad. I'm so sorry, I spoiled everything for you. I knew that trip to London meant a great deal to you. I should've just left things alone."

Danny sighed and said, "No, it's not your fault Clockwork. I shouldn't have popped off, now I'm really done for."

"No you have been a great sport boy." Clockwork said encouragingly. "You can't go down now, it can only be up from here."

"I'd like to know how." Danny said.

"Use your head. An education." Clockwork suggested.

"What good will that do?" Danny asked.

"Well….how about we get you one and see where it leads you?" Clockwork suggested, hoping he'll agree. "And don't worry. This time I'll make sure your lessons won't interfere with your duties and get you into any more trouble. Are you willing to try?"

With nothing else he could think of, Danny agreed, "Okay. What have I got to lose?"

Clockwork patted him on the back and said with a smile, "That's the ticket. We'll start tomorrow! We'll show them what you're made of for sure."
