So it has come to this.

Jumin sighed putting his hands on his face.

Now he needs to accept the reality of never going back to his previous life. He was prepared for this, of course.

After his marriage arrangement fiasco, he has set aside his funds in secret and where he knew his father has no association with.

He did have his own savings before but it was always something both he and his father knew. He was thought to be prepared for anything after all.

Jumin took a deep breath, loosening his tie at the same time. They were family and even if he didn't want to think of his father disowning him, he didn't think that it will happen like this.

Jumin thought his father would hate his apparent rejection to his girlfriends and would snapped.

Or maybe his lack of interest in woman in general.

He even thought of the possibility that his father might disown him if one of his girlfriends ask it.

Jumin grimaced.

But it would be something he was vastly invested and failed to do. Something he was one hundred percent at fault.

This deal was starting to feel heavy in his shoulders. Defeated, Jumin leaned his elbows in his table and started thinking about his options.

He would live comfortably for the next ten years with his money. He could build a business since he was good at it. Maybe even visit V and Rika before going back to Korea.

He's first priority would be acquiring a new residence. Not that he wasn't the one paying his house but it was a gift from his father.

Jumin knew there is a small chance of his father pulling out his penthouse but he could never be sure. The chairman was definitely not please last time they talked.

Of course, that should be after he finished this deal.

Rubbing his face, he pointed his focus at the task at hand.

He'll think about it after this.

Jay left him after, saying he needed to go to his next appointment. Zen apologized profusely for taking a lot of his time but the guy just waved at him dismissively.

Zen was at a complete loss. His plan didn't do anything much and resulted to nothing. Deject, he went home to his apartment.

Crashing down into his bed, Zen looked at his clock.

5:30pm.

He felt weak.

He knew he kept making excuses that he just wanted Jumin to apologize and that he is his friend that's why he's so worried.

But he knew it wasn't just the case.

He knew it after MCs first RFA party.

Even he noticed that he was being completely hostile with Jumin that 2 weeks and he first thought it was because he was venting his stress on the guy.

But he wasn't.

He was jealous.

An unknown girl just came barelling into their lives and he never seen Jumin that emotional in his whole life.

Why can't Jumin be like that before?

Zen doesn't hold a grudge with MC. She is a great and caring woman.

But he can't help but feel defeated around her. He knew, of course, the same as everyone does, that MC loves Seven.

Zen wasn't the one to judge though he doesn't understand. Jumin was right there.

Jumin was opening to her.

Zen blinked, tears falling down his cheeks. Jumin didn't deserved to be hurt like that. But he knew that you can't choose who you like.

He wanted for Jumin to love someone but he didn't want to see him hurt.

It took him weeks to stop being stupid and accept the fact that MC doesn't like Jumin like that. And Jumin had to just live with it.

They both have to live with that.

Maybe they were looking at this wrong.

Maybe Jumin already gave them the answers before.

MC looked at her screen in deep thought. They need to backtrack a bit.

Jumin was in America. There is a chance that he was just observing V and Rika but that wouldn't be a delicate issue. The chairman wouldn't need to announce a new heir if that was the case.

MC racked her brains trying to recall everything she can before Jumin left.

It wasn't much. After their first RFA party, the group felt odd.

Sure, they were chatting as much as before but Jumin changed. He doesn't say anything about his father or anything.

He just kept commenting on their topic without giving another topic. He kept on ranting on and on about the topic until someone else talked about something else.

Zen also felt odd.

He eased up on his hostility with Jumin but it was expected. MC knew that he was just as concerned as she was before. Zen just doesn't know how to say it.

Change was also expected with Saeyoung. He was a little bit open now but it felt strained. She knew that much. The two of them aren't talking that much before too.

It doesn't mean that MC's feelings for Saeyoung changed. But they both knew they needed some time apart. And it wasn't because of Saeran.

It felt like only Yoosung and Jaehee were the ones able to go back to the way things were before. They even got better.

Yoosung became more mature and understanding and Jaehee felt like the girl was closer to everyone else.

MC hugged her knees in attempt to appear smaller and feel safer.

She just wanted them to go back to the way things were...
