Timon and Pumbaa we're heading back to The Pride Lands, having parted ways with Bunga at The Tree Of Life.
"Boy that was exhausting." Timon exhaled.
"Oh come on Timon, it wasn't too bad!" Pumbaa said.
"Does Ma have to know every single detail of my life?" Timon groaned.
"She just misses you." Pumbaa frowned. "Besides she didn't spend all her time asking about you...She spent time with Bunga too!"
"Yeah, but she started gushing about how I gave her such a cute grandkid!"
"Maybe if we visit her more, you wouldn't have to keep updating her."
"Maybe if she learned some boundaries I would visit her more! She's more of a prying parent than Simba is! I mean-"
The two stopped in their tracks, hearing a rustling in the grass. Timon quickly scurried up Pumbaa's back. "What was that?"
"What was what?"
"That rustling sound, don't you hear it!?" Timon gripped Pumbaa's ears anxiously.
Pumbaa stayed silent for a bit, listening. His ears perked up when he heard the sound Timon had. Nearby a small patch of grass moved as Pumbaa made his way over. He stuck his snout in. "Hello?"
There was a slight yelp, and someone tumbled out of the grass. Pumbaa turned around and was face to face with a lion cub, holding a baby in his jaw.
Timon screamed and hid behind Pumbaa's head. "Run, Pumbaa, run!"
The lion cub backed up anxiously, his eyes full of fear.
"Hey little guy...are you lost?" Pumbaa asked, gently.
The cub nodded slightly, the anxiety turning into sadness.
"You wanna come with us?" Pumbaa asked. The cub took another step back. "Aw, don't worry we won't hurt you..."
The cub took a small step forward.
"Pumbaa what are you doing?" Timon whispered, starting to freak out.
"Come on Timon, we can take him back to the Pride. They'll know what to do."
Timon sighed in defeat. "Fine, but I'm not babysitting again..."
"Come on little guy." Pumbaa said, leading the little cub and his sister in the direction of the Pride Lands.
The four of them went onward, and soon Pride Rock was in sight.
