"Heya Juju~" a voice came from his phone.
Jumin jerked his head towards the device on his desk. He had forgotten to give it back to the bulky guy.
He took the phone and inspected it.
It seemed that someone was calling him. He guessed it's to be expected by their genius hacker.
Jumin cleared his throat. "Hi, Seven" He place his index and thumb in his chin.
Jumin isn't one hundred percent sure that no one else was hearing their conversation. He noticed that he was being monitored on this room the whole time.
He quickly stood up from his desk and went to the bathroom.
He can only hope that these guys have the decency not to bug this place.
Though maybe not.
"I wish we could be discreet in our discussion. I don't really have the time at the moment"
Saeyoung giggled. He got the message.
Jumin was being monitored and this call should be quick.
Of course, Saeyoung already disabled the wiretap on Jumin's phone at the moment.
"Short and secret. Roger that, captain. Just checking up to you. We haven't heard from you in years, you know" Saeyoung complained.
Jumin's shoulders ease up. He had to admit that he missed this voice. Well, everyone's voice.
"I would be back in about 3 months. There aren't any problems on your end, right?" Jumin inquired. Is Saeyoung calling him because of a problem?
"Sure, we do." Saeyoung's voice turned serious.
Jumin tensed.
Jumin counted down to five and pressed on.
"What's the problem?"
Saeyoung clicked his tongue a few times.
"Our cat mom is nowhere to be found. We want to know how he's doing~" Saeyoung said in a sing song voice.
Jumin blinked, a little annoyed. "No time. Is there anything else?"
Saeyoung tone change. "I could give you all the information you need to fulfill your deal earlier, Jumin"
"You don't have to. Three months is not that big of a deal." Jumin dismissed. The group will have to wait that long.
That would just set him closer to V's and Rika's return.
"But we miss you~" Saeyoung whined again.
Why is Jumin not taking the bait?
Jumin groaned. "No need to waste your time on this, Seven. I got it covered." he looked around for any obvious evidence that the room is bugged.
Jumin hasn't spend his time that much here anyways. He didn't need to anyways.
"Jumin, this is serious" Saeyoung sang again.
How can Jumin take him serious when Saeyoung is using that tone?
"Unless there is any urgent business I need to attend to. I intent to stay here until then". Jumin suspected that once Saeyoung knew that he was working with the late prime minister, Saeyoung will get pissed.
Jumin was pacing back and forth in the room, continuing his investigation when he heard a huff on the line.
"Didn't know you were so chummy with that guy" Saeyoung growled, voice laced with venom.
Jumin paused. Of course, he should've known that Saeyoung already knew what he's doing.
"I'm afraid I need to drop now. We'll talk about the problem once I get back"
"Coward" Saeyoung mumbled.
Saeyoung was always agitated by the lack of explanation but he guessed they really don't have time of that.
"I'll sent you the files, Jumin", Saeyoung spat.
Jumin shook his head. He guessed he have no choice now.
"You better come back to us" Saeyoung said in worry.
"Alright" Jumin cut off the line.
V was very confused.
He knew that what happened at the party has the potential to break them all up.
But he had the feeling that it wouldn't be a problem. They were all deeply invested to the group much more than before.
Though, never in his whole life that Jumin would be hiding. Or AFK in Saeyoung and Yoosung's term.
The guy had a lot more delicate deals before but he was always a call away.
Maybe only for him, V thought.
Anyways, Jumin is perfectly trained not to give information. It was also passed down in his family.
They were rich and are living in the business world. V knew the things a member of that kind of family learn at a young age.
They have a lot of threats lurking around. V can't say for sure how many successful kidnappings happened to Jumin in his early age but he was sure it was just a handful. His security has always been tight.
Tigher than V's father anyways.
Jumin only mentioned those events in passing anyways. He kept dealing with that stuff on his daily life anyways.
Based on the chairman and Jumin's conversation, this wasn't that normal of a situation.
V mused. He can't believe their group was in shambles for this long.
Should he just trust his friend to come back?
Zen doesn't know what to think.
He heard Jumins voice for a long time and he was so glad he sounds okay.
He still have his business voice even if he was speaking to his own father.
Zen chuckled. He can't believe the man worried them that much for that long.
Zen misses him dearly.
He felt tears damping his cheeks.
Zen laughed weakly.
He's weeping after hearing the voice of the man.
Isn't it just pathetic?
