chapter 4!!
although not many people will read this story, I'm very happy that you, yes you, are enjoying it.
(And me realizing that the terra blade is bigger than the player itself)
"Hey Star, I'm prepared!" Seth yelled through the window, I guess Star was my new nickname, "Take the boy with you!"
I dashed to Adrall and picked him up bridal style.
There was no time to loose, there was something clearly wrong with this town.
"Over here!"
Seth was way more athletic and powerful than I thought, he was already outside, running away from the guards, while carrying 2 huge bags.
The king's eye were a bright shade of red, "Follow and kill."
Shivers went down my spine, this place is not safe. Well, probably safe for me but the thousands of resident here are not safe.
Silma was dangerous.
"Where the fuck are we?" Adrall asked, he looked around, "Are we actually OUTSIDE?"
"Aster, I'm going to say this one last time." Th Guide ignored him, "Why?"
"The town's messed up!" I replied, "He doesn't even know what's outside!"
Adrall beamed, "It's so cool..."
I looked back at the town, it was nothing but a dot.
Seth started explaining our trip, and our next destination, Allion, capital of Apeiros.
"Now, I believe I haven't introduced myself." I smiled at Adrall, "I'm Asterlii, call me Aster or Star."
"Honestly, I'm glad that you saved me." He twiddled his thumb, "That town is honestly the worst place ever."
"Yeah, and that Crimson Knight thing is very suspicious..." The Guide thought out loud, I agreed and Adrall shrugged.
We continued talking and getting to know each other, Adrall was very opened about his life, talking about how the town didn't allow any resident in or out, and how the outside was full of dangerous monsters.
He talked and talked until the sun was at its highest.
And the sun was at its highest when we were attacked.
Some red knights were looking around the forest, probably for us.
The eerie silence already put us on edge, but we had no idea what was about to happen.
"Adrall, Seth." I whispered, "You guys go grab our stuff and go to the highest mountain."
They listened carefully, as I continued, "I'll fend them off and at night light up a torch, don't worry about me, I'll be alright."
Seth grabbed him and instantly ran off.
"We just want to talk." A familiar voice caught my attention, I readied my blade, "We came to the conclusion that you are indeed not Teplan, but an ally that can help us."
"Cut the chit chat." The king's face became clearer and clearer as I walked to him, "You just want to use me."
His eyes still glowed a bright shade of red, they reminded me of...
"Use you? No no no, you misunderstand."
oh...
"You can help fight the corruption."
oh...
"The world can be saved!"
They remind me of another evil, the crimson.
"You can be the next crimson knight!"
"You can be the next crimson knight!"
Those words rang in my head as he all the other knights approached me as if I was a wild creature.
"This is my time to shine." I declared happily, it hadn't been long since I last fought a human, but that was to teach, and this time, I was going for the kill. "I'll never join you by the way."
They all raised their spears and pointed it to me.
"Attack!"
The knights all charged in, and my ankh shield blocked almost all their attacks.
And I pulled out Dusk, my Terra Blade.
I swung it and a Terra Beam shot out at the end of the blade, piercing through 2 and stabbing another.
The king pulled out his bow and started shooting me, but the ankh shield that circled around me blocked every last arrow.
It was a one sided battle, I had power, and they had numbers.
I slashed and kicked, I dodged and shielded.
The knights were inexperienced and incompetent, but they fought like zombies, fighting as if the world was ending.
And their persistence paid off, at the end I still got hurt, quite badly.
The battle continued until it was only me and the king left.
"I believe we will meet again." He grinned maliciously, "We shall meet again."
"Cringe."
"What?"
"Your cringe dude." I started walking away, "Come up with more creative lines."
"..."
The sunlight was getting dimmer and dimmer, my whole body ached but I couldn't let my guard down.
So I decided that I would gather materials, a good way to look around the area and get materials.
I walked through the forest for hours and picked fruits, berries and wood.
As soon as the sun went down, I spread open my wings and started looking for the torch.
(Seth the Guide POV)
We already waited the whole day, we even decided at one point to go hunt rabbits, we were bored.
And now it's night time and Star still hasn't came back, the torch is lit, Adrall is telling me his entire life again and I'm tired.
This boy doesn't even know the simplest of things!
He never knew that acorns were the sprouts of a tree, he never knew that there were water that you couldn't drink, who was his teacher?
"Hey Seth, what's that thing in the sky?" Adrall asked curiously, I sighed and lazily told him that it was a bird.
"That's a weird bird."
I looked up and just couldn't even react before it crashed into me.
I internally scream as I turn the thing around.
"Isn't that Asterlii?!" Adrall yelled, "SHE HAS WINGS?!"
I examined them closely, they did indeed fend off those knights, and they were injured.
Their wings were huge, and surprisingly light, this probably was the work of magic and not biology.
I had no idea what to do, "So I guess we sleep?" I suggested, "Today was tiring and we have a whole day ahead of us."
"Good night!"
"Rest well."
