Rami, Binti and Akeylah watched from a distance as Vitani talked to this strange rogue. Rami pulled his sister closer just in case.
"Aunt 'Tani?" Akeylah whimpered, looking over at them.
"Shh it's okay." Rami purred, nuzzling her slightly.
"What are they talking about? Binti asked.
"I dunno." Rami shrugged.
"Is he gonna hurt her?" Biniti gasped.
"Aunt Tani..." Akeylah whimpered out.
There was a rustling in the grass behind them. The cubs turned around to see a spotted cub hiding.
"Who are you?" Rami asked.
"Shh! I'm stalking my prey." He whispered.
"Your...prey?" Rami asked.
"Shh!" The cub said again, his eyes focused on a butterfly perched on a rock. "I've almost got him..."
He let out a small growl before pouncing forward. "Got'cha!" However before he could catch the butterfly, they flew away.
"Oooh." The cub groaned.
Binti went over to him. "Who are you?"
"I'm Amari." The cub said, sitting up.
Akeylah's eyes widened in curiously as she went over to him. She placed her paw on his fur and cried out, "Spots! Spots!", in excitement.
"Are you a cheetah?" Binti asked.
Amari laughed a bit. "No, I'm a leopard."
"A...leopard?" Rami asked.
He nodded. "I guess there aren't a lot of us around here...Do you wanna play?"
"Sure!" Rami said. He looked over at Binti. "Do you wanna play too?"
"Sure!"
"I'll race ya to that tree!" Amari said.
"You're on!" Rami replied.
He, Binti, and Amari ran towards the tree...forgetting about Akeylah.
