CHAPTER 3: WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FREUND

Franco opened his laptop and clicked on a profile picture. The person he was trying to reach out to was in a different time zone, but luckily not too far behind. He clicked on the phone icon to make the webchat with the person. Franco waited for a bit then saw that it was connecting. He saw his friend pop in.

"Franco?"

"Guten tag, Hans."

"How are you, mein freund?"

"Not good."

"What happened?

"We're all here in Australia, and we are supposed to be having a good time, but there was this kid named Zac, and he liked Patricia."

"Okay?"

"He kept trying to flirt with her, knowing that I was her boyfriend. Then last week, I had enough and challenged him to a rugby game."

"Yah?"

"But it ended in a fight between me and Zac. Patricia took Zac's side and is not talking to me now. In fact, she's with him now."

"Does Marcie know?"

"She does. In fact everyone defended me, but Patricia wants to be with Zac and not me."

"I'm sorry, Franco. Maybe Marcie and Franklin can talk to her." (Hans since knew about Marcie and Franklin dating since his moving back to Germany and was okay with it and wished them luck)

"They have, but Patricia is too stubborn. She may be falling in love with him. I'm afraid I might lose her." Franco started crying. Hans shook his head in disbelief. His friend was with the girl of his dreams, and now she didn't want anything to do with him after defending her honor and now she was spending more time with the rival.

"Be strong, mein freund," Hans finally said. "No matter what happens, good or bad, everything will be all right in the end. If she forgives, that great, if not, it will be okay. Yah, it will hurt for a while, but you will be okay sooner than later."

"Danke, Hans," said Franco. "I better go. I'll talk to you again soon. Auf Wiedersehen, Hans."

"Auf Wiedersehen, Franco."
