Two months; sixty days — that's how long Jamie has been unconscious; most of the time spent fighting for her life, how long Jayce and J.R. have been struggling.
Drift sits in the corner of the room, behind one of the beds, hoping not to be found as he cries.

Twenty minutes pass before the light turns on; Drift can stay quiet, but whoever is her doesn't leave the room. Instead, they walk in the back of the room. Crosshairs figured Drift would be here but is still unprepared for what he's seeing. Drift is not pleased he's been found.
"Hey, hey, listen to me," Crosshairs says as he sits on his knees and takes Drift's hands, "our friends will be ok. You'll have your girl back."
Crosshairs didn't expect Drift to lean on him. He releases Drift's hands, and they hug.
Everyone is worried this will not end well, that Jayce will die instead of Jamie, but Crosshairs didn't realize it's been affecting Drift more than the other Autobots, Cade, and Bulma.
I know you're worried about Jamie seeing how much Jayce and J.R. are struggling. She's not going to do well knowing how much we've hurt watching her fight for her life.

Crosshairs let Drift cry until he couldn't cry anymore. He then takes Drift to hold Jamie for a while. It's three in the morning by the time he gets Drift to go to bed; worried nightmares will return. He sits between the two beds.
"Come on, Jamie; we are so tired of seeing you like this."

Bulma is up early, making arrangements for the next stage in Jamie's care and to check on Jayce. It concerns her Drift isn't with Jayce.
"What happened?" Bulma asks.
"He's terrified Jamie will find out about how everyone has been struggling and feel guilty—blaming himself for Jayce's condition. For a bot who's been able to think positive during the damn war, it's hard to believe he's struggling like this," Crosshairs explains.
"We're lucky he hasn't been struggling like the girls then, and you."
"It's been a challenge, but I know Jamie will recover, and Jayce should. J.R. is worried about Jayce, which is bringing down her mental health. Drift won't do anything stupid; he needs to see his girl wake up. Yes, he'll have a hard time until she can walk and talk; but he'll feel s lot better once Jamie wakes up."
Bulma tells Crosshairs Drift can take care of Jamie before leaving the room. Crosshairs goes to J.R.'s room, worried she'll panic if she wakes up alone.

Bulma returns to Jayce's room, hearing her bawling. Vegeta walks in and tries to help, knowing the girls' Felicity mental state is like Jamie's. It's still surprising to Bulma to see Vegeta like this.
"What happened?" Vegeta asks as he sits next to Jayce.
"J.R." is all Vegeta can make out from Jayce's sobbing as she talks.
Oh fuck, she thinks J.R. is suicidal after seeing Jayce last night.
"Calm down and concentrate on her energy," Vegeta tells Jayce, "she's ok."
Jayce struggles to concentrate but knows Vegeta wouldn't lie.
Bulma watches as Vegeta tries to calm Jayce down, hating she might have to wake Drift up.
"Jamie will be ok, even if she still has a little ways to go," Vegeta says, "I know it's hard, but Jamie will not like knowing you don't eat and you're very sick."
Bulma didn't notice he had a nutrition drink until Vegeta shows Jayce the bottle of the liquid. She takes the bottle and allows Vegeta to move her back on the bed and raises the back of the bed to allow Jayce to sit up. He sits on the bed with her as Jayce drinks the liquid. Vegeta can force people to do things with his attitude, but Bulma knows he wasn't his usual demanding self when talking to Jayce. This is Jayce choosing to drink; Possibly knowing Vegeta will stay and keep trying to get her to drink.
But it's not enough; I have to start tube feeding. Bulma dreads as she sets up and has Vegeta hold the tube.

Crosshairs sat next to the bed, watching J.R. sleep peacefully for the past twenty minutes. The sleep aid wore off three hours ago, and J.R. has been able to stay asleep — until now.
She starts whimpering in her sleep; Crosshairs moves her onto his lap and hugs her. He isn't sure if he should be relieved J.R. isn't crying as she hugs him or not.

"She's asleep," Hound whispers as he closes the door, worried he'll be told J.R. has been crying the last half-hour.
Crosshairs wasn't sure if Hound is right or not until he laid J.R. in bed.
That was oddly fast. He worries.
Crosshairs decides not to tell Hound about Drift. Hound assumes Crosshairs has been with J.R. all night and insists he go make sure Drift doesn't need help with Jayce.

Crosshairs stops by Jamie's room and sees Drift is still asleep. He moved the bed close to Jamie's to hold her hand.
Stay strong, Drift; everything is going to be ok.

Crosshairs didn't think Vegeta would be with Jayce but relieved she doesn't have to be sedated to keep the feeding tube in.
On the other hand, Jayce worries that J.R. had to be drugged for her not to be with Crosshairs.
"She's asleep," Crosshairs assures her as he sits on the chair by the bed, uncertain if he should let J.R. see Jayce until the feeding tube is removed.

Drift gets another hour of sleep before getting up to take care of Jamie. By now, Jamie is on oxygen via a nasal cannula but still getting 20% oxygen. Drift isn't sure if this means there's lung damage or not.
Drift would sit quietly by Jamie when he's finished and hold her hand, hoping she'd wake up. Yet, it's still surprising to finally see her blue eyes.
"Jamie?" Drift tries to stay calm, "you're ok."
He is unprepared for her to begin crying.
Bulma didn't say anything about crying when she wakes up, even though Jamie can't talk right when she wakes up...is-is something wrong? Please don't tell me she has brain damage.
Drift moves Jamie onto his lap, worried this is not normal, and there's bad news to come.
