It's been a rough three days, trying to get Jamie to relax and let Crosshairs and Drift help with her therapy. Having Bumblebee take the lead in helping a little. Jamie is unhappy that her guardians are seeing her in this state; she's still getting tired quickly, which adds to Jamie's displeasure, feeling as if she's a baby. It's hard for all three mechs to hear Jamie cry.

Bulma kept everything she found helped Jamie during the first few severe flare-ups while she was in this dimension. There are a few things that are more for children, but she gave the items to Drift anyway.

Jayce and J.R. want to see their friend but hate how she hates how Jamie hates her guardians, and close friends see her in her current state. They are allowed to visit as she sleeps.
"I hate how she won't let all of us support her," J.R. comments.
Jayce says nothing, feeling tears form in her eyes. She runs down the hall, almost knocking Drift to the floor. J.R. did run after her and runs into Crosshairs' arms. The two mechs realize they failed to realize how upset Jayce and J.R. would be about Jamie's mental state. Even if Jamie can't walk, the two mechs worry the girls fear Jamie is suicidal. Uncertain what to say, they focus on getting the girls to calm down.
The girls calm down and go with Bumblebee and Hound to get breakfast.
"This is a problem," Drift sighs.
"Easy fix; tell them you two will keep Jamie safe," Cade suggests.
"That could work," Bulma tells them.
"Any way we can see Jamie?" Cade asks.
"I'm sorry, but no. She still won't relax as Bumblebee, Crosshairs, and I help her."
"This isn't good, Bulma," Vegeta comments, "I worry recovery is going to take longer than usual."
"I'd rather not use drugs, but if she's not going to cooperate..."
"But it's vital to work on recovery as soon as she wakes up," Vegeta stresses, "use the smallest dose of the relaxant."
Crosshairs and Drift understand what he means. They tire of using drugs on their friends but worry that Jamie's recovery will be seriously delayed if they don't.

Bumblebee and Drift try to get Jamie to say 'yes' and 'no.' Bulma watches, ready to intervene. She hates how quickly Jamie got frustrated and began crying. She didn't think Jamie would fight Drift as he hugs her. Bulma takes Jamie, not expecting a tight hug from her and Jamie resting her head on Bulma's shoulder. She mouths for the two mechs to leave. Drift doesn't like how upset Jamie is or how concerned Bumblebee is.
This is not normal. Drift frets.
Vegeta sees the two and knew by the expression on their faces; Jamie's having a meltdown. He rushes into the room, hoping Bulma will let him help.

It's a challenge to get Jamie to calm down.
"I don't understand why you're scared this time?" Bulma asks, "we all love you. Crosshairs and Drift want to help you."
"I think you upset her more since she can't answer you," Vegeta worries, "let me try."
He takes Jamie from Bulma, hating the sadness in Jamie's eyes.
"Shh, it's ok; I wish you understood how much we love you. Crosshairs and Drift love you so much and want to help you. The others want to support you."
Bulma still can't believe Vegeta's relationship with Jamie.
He's not like this with Trunks. Bulma observes as she watches Vegeta hug Jamie tight and try to get her to stop crying.
This is my fault; this wouldn't be happening if I didn't try to kill her all those years ago.
Vegeta sees Jamie getting tired and lays her in the bed before getting a tissue.
"Please let Crosshairs and Drift help you," he says as he wipes her eyes, "they won't abandon you; none of us will."
Jamie is asleep in minutes. Vegeta sits on the chair and sighs, "this isn't good."
"She needs time...but we really don't have time."

Meanwhile, Crosshairs tries to support Drift, though they're both having a hard time watching Jamie, terrified they'll walk away from her. Drift says nothing as Crosshairs hugs him as they sit on the floor.
Glad Bumblebee and Hound are with Jayce, and J.R. Crosshairs thinks as he feels the tears from Drift hit his hand. Only Jayce and J.R. don't know what's going in. Cade and Hound also worry about Jamie, hating they can't help.

"I hate how we can't help," J.R. comments.
"This is our first time seeing this, but we know how Jamie hates this illness. She knows this is the first time most of us are watching her go through this," Jayce sighs, "and she's already terrified Crosshairs and Drift will abandon her. We'd be adding to that fear."

Cade goes into the room to check on Jamie, worried that Drift isn't sitting by the bed.
What would you do if you were here, Prime? He wonders, watching Jamie sleep.

The room is quiet for ten minutes until Cade hears Jamie crying in her sleep.

Worthless piece of scrap! How did I ever fall for you!
How did we agree to be your guardians?!

Cade moves Jamie onto his lap, hugging her close to him as she cries. On cue, Hound opens the door, immediately knowing something is wrong.
"Go get them!" Cade tells him.
Damn it, I may not be a fighter; but I swear I'll be part of the battle the next time we meet, Jadin.
"You're safe, Jamie. Crosshairs and Drift will be here," Cade says though he's uncertain if Jamie can hear him.
Drift rushes in and takes Jamie from Cade.
"I'm right here, shh, you're ok."
It's hard not to sound worried with all the crying Jamie has done already today. Cade worries Drift has also been crying.
Crosshairs thinks to get a little snack, thinking this odd method helps show Jamie they will not abandon her. Drift is not liking the look he's getting from Jamie; so much fear in her eyes. Cade leaves the room — uncertain if Jamie will not like he was watching her cry — but neither he nor Hound can go somewhere else without knowing Jamie is calm.
With the tight grip on Drift, both mechs can easily figure out what is terrifying her.
Exactly why he was crying just twenty minutes ago. Crosshairs frets.
What can we even say or do so she knows we won't abandon her? I worry this is not going to go away when she's fully recovered physically. Drift worries.
Drift gets Jamie to focus on him and repeats what he's been telling her.
"...you want applesauce?" He finishes, and food his finger right into the bowl and puts it in her mouth.
"I have a spoon, you know?"
"At least you're nice to clean my finger."
They both catch a small smile from Jamie though tears still roll down her face.
Drift uses the spoon to feed Jamie the applesauce.
"We need to cut back on spoiling her," Crosshairs comments, smiling.
He gets the chair he brought in yesterday and sits by Drift. They both repeat themselves telling Jamie they love her and want to help her.
"... please let us help you," Drift finishes and hugs Jamie.
They continue to feed Jamie the applesauce and get Jamie to play with the ball Bee showed her a few days ago. Bulma did tell them this is part of Jamie's therapy, but they worry about how long do they have to get Jamie doing leg physical therapy and speech therapy before it's too late?
