Crosshairs is right about Jamie needing to be carried back to Capsule Corp. Everyone knows she will tire easily for at least a few days as she gets her strength back. Jamie is ready for a nap. While she's asleep, Crosshairs and Drift talk to the others while Jayce and J.R. watch T.V. They think the beach day Cade promised will happen sooner than they thought.
"can we change that to a vacation?" Hound asks.
Bumblebee nods in agreement. The rest agree and decide to get Jayce and J.R. involved. The gangwant to surprise Jamie, but they also need to note her mental state before deciding to go on a vacation. They made plans for a camping trip and a nice stay at a hotel. Doing both is considered, but everyone knows Jamie might only want to do the beach day Cade promised and not a vacation. They also plan a night out, hoping Jamie will be ready after her nap.

"Everything is getting better," Drift smiles as he sits on the chair by the bed.
I don't think he smiled at all since this started; now, he's often smiling since Jamie woke up.
Jamie no longer needs to be tube-fed and can use the toilet herself. She's making progress with her speech and walking. It sucks there's a downside to this; wondering when Jadin will try again.

Jamie is still uncomfortable with Bumblebee, Cade, and Hound seeing her needing walking assistance, but doesn't argue about going out for dinner with everyone. Even Vegeta joins them, though he normally wouldn't care about going out in public like at a restaurant. For Bulma, this is a nice break.
Bumblebee, Cade, Hound, and Vegeta are pleased with the progress Jamie has made. Cade thinks in two weeks, the gang will go to the beach.
Of course, Drift still sees the outing as speech therapy. He's pleased employees are patient and let Jamie talk though they can't fully understand her. He gives them a chance before telling them what she's trying to say.
No one asks why Jamie can't speak clearly, which everyone likes, though she's getting better.

Jamie walks to the park, but the others can tell she's getting tired. No amount of rest will allow her to walk home.
"She's getting better already," Drift whispers to Crosshairs, "I don't think she would have made it to the park earlier today."
"At least without falling several times. I don't know if she would have cried out of frustration or not."
They stay for an hour before Drift carries Jamie back to Capsule Corp and to bed.
Though Drift enjoys holding her as she falls asleep.

Once Jamie is asleep, the two mechs find the others waiting in the hallway. Jayce and J.R. are also asleep. The two mechs still have to remind themselves the girls no longer have nightmares. Even though it's been twenty days since they've been told, Jayce and J.R. have had a nightmare.
"Can we take the girls back to the junkyard?" Hound asks.
"You think she can walk on the rough terrain?" Bulma asks, "she can go back soon, but her leg muscles are still weak."
The others like hearing Jamie needs a little more time, but not long.

Things get better as Jamie lets the others get involved with her therapy, which has become a lot of fun. Bulma isn't sure if it's Jamie's case or it's possible for other patients to have this type of treatment plan.
It's involving speech and strengthening her legs. She thinks, watching the group of friends have fun.

The next five days are like a pre-celebratory party with the games everyone comes up with to help. The gang loves hearing Jamie laugh.
She tries running short distances down the hall. Bulma decides they can go back to the junkyard but must be careful, as Jamie may struggle on the terrain.

After a fun day, Jamie is exhausted. Crosshairs catches her and Drift sleeping on the ground. He gets Jayce and J.R. to show them. The two girls sit on his shoulders as he walks towards where Drift is.

The girls smile, seeing Drift smiling as he recharges, his servos lightly covering Jamie and her red blanket. Their tiny friend sleeping on the happy Autobot is a sight they've been waiting so long for. The girls have their phones back; Jayce takes a picture, forgetting to turn off the flash.
"Uh-oh," she whispers, waiting for Drift to come out of recharge.
"He knows we're safe here," Crosshairs assures her, "I know how to get him up if we need him up," he adds.
"He's not getting up with his girl in his servos," J.R. smiles.
The three of them lay close to Drift. J.R. waits until Jayce is asleep before climbing on Crosshairs' chassis. He online his optics, feeling her on him but doesn't say anything as he sees her laying on him. He waits a few minutes, hoping she's asleep so he can cover her with his servo.
Why didn't you get a blanket? Crosshairs sighs.

The two smile the next morning as they stare at each other before J.R. gets off him. Neither says a thing as they wait for their friends to wake up.

Unlike Crosshairs and J.R., Jamie doesn't care the others see she's on Drift. Though the others know she refuses to say she and Drift are together. He walks with her using his holoform, watching her on the rough terrain. He could have made sure she stayed in the main area that's flat and smooth, but he knew Crosshairs, Jayce, and J.R. would have joined them. There's no room for everyone to sleep in the main area.

Bulma, Cade, and Vegeta are already sitting at the table until they hear footsteps. They watch Jamie walk with the cane without a problem. Bulma believes Jamie can stop using the cane in a week. The gang continues to get Jamie to talk, liking she's getting better at speaking clearly.
"You want to go to the beach today?" Cade asks, smiling.
"Yes!" Jamie chirps.
The others smile, happy she's happy.
Crosshairs and Drift worry she'll become frustrated as she gets back into training, but they'll worry about that when she's ready for that.
