Quickly of note, this is mostly filler! It is just something to commemorate my year-long goal of saving up for Illya on FGO... Or venting...
Special Chapter
Gacha
Illya glared at the phone before her. Her scrutiny only causing her eyes to strain themselves with her unblinking glare.
C'mon... C'mon... C'mon! C'mon!
The screen rattled in front of her as she seemed to be trying to crush her phone. Her thumbs pushing the screen so hard that cracks were ought to soon form. I spent 1,000 yen on getting the saint quartz! I swear if I don't get her!
The screen showcased a pillar of light flashing on the screen, causing Illya's heart to freeze. A gasp escaped her lips as she loosened her grip and awaited with an abated breath.
The light show soon dissipated as a card revealed itself.
It was golden.
C'mon. C'mon. C'mon!
It was a mage class.
Yes. Yes! Yes!
And it was Myrddin.
Eh?
Illya stared at her screen with a look of utter disgust and disappointment that if anyone saw her face, one would think that it was her natural face.
The game then returned to the gacha menu.
Absent-mindedly, she went to the enhancement menu and then to the special attack menu. Selecting another Myrddin, she fed the new Myrddin to her previously held one.
"Heh..." she stared at her phone a while longer, admiring the level 3 special attack that her level 87 Myrddin now had. Wordlessly, she then put her phone on her desk and walked away.
She then entered the bathroom and stepped into the shower.
Michael hasn't contacted us in a while, Archer noted as he put away his phone.
He then heard opened the door of the apartment and entered. "I'm back," he announced wholly unnecessary.
Whilst taking off his shoes, he noted the sound of water running. She's taking a shower, he noted as he passed the bathroom. "Don't take too long, your school starts in an hour!"
He put the envelopes he had in one of the kitchen's drawers before closing it. Hearing no response to his warning, he turned to the bathroom. "Illya, don't waste the water!"
Again, he received no response. Getting somewhat irritated by Illya's lack of affirmation, he approached the door. Raising his fist to knock, he stopped himself when he heard the distinct sound of someone crying.
"Illya? Are you okay?"
The sobbing stopped and for a little bit, the only sound he could hear was the shower. Until the shower itself was turned off and footsteps approached the other side of the door.
The door cracked open as Illya peaked with teary eyes at him. "Shirou..." she muttered.
"Yes?"
The door swung open as Illya prostrated herself in a dogeza position. "C-Can I please h-have more allowance?"
Archer stared at Illya for a moment before averting his gaze. "Finish getting ready for school and then we can talk on our way there," he said simply before walking away, not willing to put himself in harm's way.
Meanwhile, Illya remained prostrated for a moment longer before numbly slithering back into the shower.
It was only half a minute in that she realized what she had just done.
To say the least, Illya nearly disintegrated and returned to the Counterforce's equivalent of the Throne of Heroes.
Illya stared at the summoning screen, her eyes glaring at it with impunity.
"Woah... Is everything okay, Illya?" Katase asked she came up next to hef.
It was currently lunch and they, along with Maruyama and the rest of their little friend group, were seated in the cafeteria.
Illya slowly removed her glare from her screen to then look at Katase with tears in her tear ducts. "T-There's... N-N-No m-more..." she stammered as she tried her best to hold the tears in.
"Hey! Why did you make her cry?!" Maruyama exclaimed as she accused Katase.
The pink-haired girl, Katase, raised her arms in a sign of innocence. "I just asked her what's wrong!"
Illya took a deep breath as she wiped away her tears. "I didn't get- er... Ich habe Caster Sitonai nicht verstanden! (I didn't get caster Sitonai!)" She then proceeded to put her face in her arms and on the table.
The group looked at Illya with confusion as they tried to prod and inquire what she had said. Yet, the said girl continued to cover her head in utter embarrassment.
Why do I need to speak in German?! This is so embarrassing, lying about my main language! While she did not harbor thoughts of killing someone, she did very much find the idea of hitting Cao Cao very appealing. Wait... No... This isn't his fault... Ugh... If only I hadn't been so careless and got seen by the Church!
In short, her embarrassment was immeasurable, and her unluckiness forgotten.
Illya fidgeted underneath Archer's studying stare as he tried to discern as to the intentions of her request. His gaze then traveled from her eyes to her phone she was holding and then to the numerous figurines displayed throughout the apartment.
"So..." he began as he glued his stare to Illya once more. "I am assuming you want more allowance for your game?"
"Y-Yes..." Illya admitted, deflated as expectations on what he was going to say now hitting her.
He sighed as he pulled out his phone. He scrolled his phone for a few minutes as he pulled his bank account. "Money tight as it is..." he stated as he leaned back on his chair. "Are you fine in having no food for a month instead of for a week?"
Illya cringed at Archer's words, her mind racking itself as it tried to weigh her priorities. On one hand, if she didn't get her Caster Sitonai, she would go insane. Then if she did not eat for a month, she would go insane.
What if she was able to make up the money to get both what she wanted
"I... I will get a part-time job!" Illya suddenly blurted out without much thought. Her resolve almost crumbling after she said that. "I-I m-meant-!"
Archer was taken aback briefly by the sudden proposal but he thought on it for a moment. Huh... Why didn't I think of that?
To say the least, Archer gave her the yen and re-evaluated his stupidity.
Illya stared at the saint quartz with a big grin. "Kukuku..." she chuckled evilly. "You will be mine, Caster Sitonai!"
She then tapped the button with such smugness that what happened next may or may not break her.
To Be Continued
Special Chapter End
You may or may not consider this a part of the story. It is just filler and something to commemorate my year-long saving up for Illya as a f2p player... I will maybe post a follow-up chapter if I succeed... Or fail miserably that I get so depressed that I write the next chapter of each of my stories and maybe even new stories.
For those who want to consider this as canon to my story, I had mixed a few names around in order not to get the continuity mixed up or break the 4th wall.
Myrddin = Merlin
Caster Sitonai = Illya
And no, I do not have a level 3 noble phantasm Merlin, it's just something I still vent since the 3rd anniversary festival in July... Fucking Merlin preventing me from obtaining best girl... I even briefly bought saints quartz for once just for the event...
Edit: 1-20-21. I fixed the grammar for the German sentence. Also, to find out if I did indeed get my Illya come to my discord for the pictures: 9FYt4TuV49
