The Time Emma Forgot Her Towel

"Pssst! Norman!"

Norman blinked at hearing his name being called in a hushed voice.

Turning around he spotted that the door of one of the bathrooms was slightly open.

Then a hand peeked through the opening, waving him closer as the voice that he now recognized as Emma's called him over again.

"Emma? What are you doing?" he asked as he reached the bathroom, reaching to pull the door open further only to find Emma stopping it.

"Please don't try to come in!" she yelled, catching him off guard.

"Why? Is something wrong?" he asked, getting worried.

"I'm naked!" she yelled.

Norman froze completely as his brain short-circuited at what he heard.

"Eh?"

"I forgot my towel, alright!" she now poked her head around the corner and he saw she was red as well.

Her hair was wet too as proof.

"Can you please, please, please go and get me one so I can dry off?" she begged him.

The desperate tone and look snapped Norman enough out his shock to be able to respond.

"A-Alright. Wait here." he told her.

"Well, it's not like I can really go anywhere else..." Emma answered and Norman felt himself blush more.

"Right! Sorry! I'll be right back!" he quickly told her and left before he could make a fool of himself even more.

Luckily the nearest linen-closet was right around the corner and he pulled out the biggest towel he could find before he hurried back.

"Here!" he cried as soon as he reached the bathroom again.

"Thanks, Norman! You're the best!" Emma smiled gratefully as she she reached out to take the towel.

Seeing how her whole arm and part of her shoulder came into view and how they were indeed not covered by anything Norman forced himself to look away.

"Eep!" Emma suddenly yelped, followed by a thud.

"Emma?" Norman instinctively turned around to check on her and he might as well have died.

Emma had fallen somehow and ended up opening the door more as she fell and he could see her laying on the bathroom's floor, on her stomach with her bare back (and even a little bit of the side of her breast!) fully in view, the door being just closed enough that her bottom was still hidden.

"I'm okay. The floor is just wet and I slipped." Emma answered his earlier call and actually went to push herself up before she herself seemed to freeze as she realized what she was doing.

Slowly, very slowly she turned her head towards him and her green eyes met his blue ones.

"SORRY!" they both screamed as Norman turned around and covered his eyes and Emma dove out of view.

"I'm so sorry, Emma! I- I shouldn't have-!" "No! It's my fault for not being more careful or even just for forgetting my towel!" Emma cut him off and an awkward silence followed.

"You're not hurt, are you? From falling like that, I mean." Norman asked.

"No, I'm okay." Emma assured him.

"I guess I'm lucky I didn't fall on my arm in some weird way or I might have had to ask you tel help dry me off." she tried to joke which only made Norman groan and bury his red face in his hands.

"Please don't joke about that, Emma." he whined.

He had certain dreams that started in similar scenarios before, ahem, escalating but he knew for a fact he was now really awake and couldn't, wouldn't act on them.

"Right, not the time and place." Emma laughed awkwardly and after a few moments the door opened again and Emma stepped out, this time dressed in a simple t-shirt and shorts.

"Thanks for this, Norman." she told him with a shy smile.

'So cute!'

Clearing his dry throat Norman smiled his usual friendly smile back.

"It's no problem, Emma. I'm glad I could help you out." he answered, loving the way she beamed up at him.

"I should get going. I'll see you later." he turned to leave only to get stopped be Emma grabbing into his sleeve.

Turning around he found her looking shy again, fidgeting as she looked at the ground.

"F-For what it's worth, I'm glad that for all of this, including when I fell, it happened to be with you." she told her and he right away felt himself turn red again at the reminder.

"I-I'm sorry but what?!" he asked.

"J-Just that you were helpful and a real gentleman. Thanks again, Norman." with that Emma stood on her toes and lightly pecked him on the cheek before running away, leaving a stunned Norman behind.
