Extreme AU!

I have no rights to Riverdale or these characters.

Jughead stood at the stairs that led to Riverdale High and snarled. He didn't want to be here. But his dad, FP Jones, of all people had helped the police. Making the mayor very happy that the Southside Serpents were turning their ways around. Not a chance!

FP had made a deal with Mayor McCoy that Jughead could transfer to Riverdale from Southside to finish high school.

Okay, yeah, he had gotten into some trouble. But he was the Serpent Prince, he had some trouble to cause.

The trouble had been nothing compared to some of the younger serpents.

Opening the door, Jughead huffed out a breath. Walking down the hall he felt their eyes, their judgements, but most of all their fear of the unknown. His serpent jacket doing most of the intimidating.

Holding his head high, Jughead smirked when everyone averted their eyes, until he met the eyes of a soft preppy girl, who was gnawing on her lip. Tearing his eyes away he walked into the office and asked for Principal Weatherbee.

Betty stood in front of her locker, transfixed as the new boy had walked down the hall. He screamed danger, but for some reason, she wasn't scared of him, intrigued was more like it. He didn't scare her the way he did most of the other students.

"Who was that?" she asked Kevin, who was standing beside her, checking out the newest male at Riverdale High.

"Not sure," He said leaning to get a better look at his ass, "but he is delicious."

Veronica laughed, "put your tongue back in your mouth, Kevin," she teased, "and B, why so curious?"

Betty felt herself blush, "I don't know, I just…"

"Oh my god, you think he's cute!" Veronica squealed.

"V!"

"Sorry, but you do," she teased, "your face is as pink as your sweater."

"Betty Cooper report to the main office. Betty Cooper to the main office," the school secretary called over the speaker.

"Guess you'll find out first," Veronica said noticing how Betty's face rosied even more.

Betty took a deep breath and walked towards the office. With every step, she took calming breathes. Walking into the office, she stopped, the new mystery kid was sitting there, just staring.

Jughead smirked, the girl was pretty in a girl next door kind of way. But he could almost guarantee that there was a minx underneath; just waiting to be released.

"Ah Betty," Principal Weatherbee said coming out of his office, "I need your help."

"Okay."

"We have a new student," he said walking towards the mystery kid, who was now standing.

Betty took in his whole outfit; the Southside Serpents jacket, the flannel tied around his waist, suspenders that hung loose and boots. Unusual, but for some reason she gathered that they screamed him.

"Betty this is…"

"Jughead," he supplied offering her his hand.

"Jughead?" she questioned shaking his hand.

Both noticed the jolt of electricity that shot up their arms.

"Yes," he smirked, "let's just leave it at that."

"Okay," Betty stated gnawing on her lip again.

Jughead couldn't help that smirk that appeared on his face. She was cute. Not his usual type, but she was something. And that lip gnawing had to stop. It was doing funny things to him.

"Alright," Principal Weatherbee said, "Jughead, Betty will be your guide the next couple days."

Jughead nodded, "I'll follow you," he said looking at her.

Betty gulped, "Okay."

"Good, now get to class," Weatherbee said walking back to his office.

"Here is your class schedule, Mr. Jones," the secretary said handing him the paper.

"Wait, Jughead Jones?" Betty asked, looking at him fully, "You're Jughead Jones?"

Rolling his eyes and looking at her, "yes I'm Jughead Jones," he lamented, "we just introduced ourselves."

"Sorry," Betty said blushing, "you're the editor of the Red and Black."

"Was the editor," he corrected, "till I was forced to come here."

"Riverdale isn't so bad," Betty said turning to leave the office, "just give it a chance."

"Are you always a cheerleader for your school paper?" Jughead asked following her out into the hallway.

"Well, I am a River Vixen as well as the editor of the Blue and Gold," Betty informed him looking over her shoulder.

The image of the soft preppy girl in front of him in a short cheerleading skirt made his blood run hot. Shaking his head, Jughead looked at the floor and tried to not think about it.

There's more coming. But what did you think?
