Chapter 17

Waking up was very hard for Violet she didn't want to get up from her warm comforts but her excitement finally won over and she got up.

When she got up from her bed, she saw that she was the last one to wake up Alice and Lily were getting ready while Lucy was already dressed and was reading a book sitting at the window.

"Good Morning Violet," said Lucy the only one who had seen that she had woken up

The others turned towards her and smiled saying at the same time" Morning VI. "Violet smiled she liked the nickname she never had one outside of family members

"Come on get ready." said Lily excited" Hu is waiting for us and the others have all finished eating breakfast by now."

Violet had a look of horror on her face and Lily and Alice laughed while Lucy said" Don't listen to Lils Violet she is only joking." then she looked at her cousin the same way her father looked at his brothers in the past

"But you do need to get ready or we are going to be late for class and I believe all four of us have to write to our parents to thank them for their presents."

"Your parents have given you presents?" asked Violet walking out of the bathroom

"No, but they always give after getting sorted, and James Sirius or Uncle Neville or both have already told them our house."

"Oh," said Violet as she put her robes over her head and looked herself in the mirror, she liked what she saw.

The dark colors of the robes matched perfectly with her redhaired and her once plain robes now had the Gryffindor symbol and colors on. Violet couldn't help but smile she was really a witch and she couldn't help but tell her parents and brother about it.

Suddenly remembering her plans from the day before Violet said" I need to write to my parents before breakfast does any of you know where the owlery is?"

All three shook their heads" the only reason we came to Hogwarts before now was because of the V-day celebrations."

"V-day?" asked Violet

"Voldemort Defeat Day." Answered all three at the same time and Violet knew she shouldn't be so shocked by it by now but she still was

"We can ask my brother." said Lily at the door" But you need to finish that letter right now so you can send it."

Nodding her head and getting the piece of parchment Lucy had in her hand she sat down to write what she knew was going to be a very short letter.

Knowing that no matter how much she wrote it wouldn't be enough for her parents she finished the letter and walked behind her friends towards the common room

"Thanks, Merlin." said a voice and they turned to see Hugo standing at the bottom of the stairs with arms crossed and glaring at his cousins (Alice included)

"Don't be such a drama queen Hu that's Lu's job," said Alice

"Have you seen James Sirius Hu?" asked Lily looking around at the other students there not seeing her oldest brother

"Yeah I think I know where he is." saying that the redhaired boy walked out of the common room and towards the hall

After meeting Louis (who was just coming back from a 'talk' with a friend of his) who was nice enough to direct them where James Sirius was through Violet noticed he had a weird smirk on his face directed at his cousins who all had disgusted looks on their faces,

"Who was Louis talking to?" asked Violet innocently looking at her friends

"His latest conquest," answered Hugo keeping his eyes open for his hazel-eyed cousin

Violet didn't get to ask anything else because Lily called out to her oldest brother who looked like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

He didn't look the same way he had looked when she had met him before his normally messy hair were even messier as were his clothes hell his tie was missing and his badge was on the ground. Even his lips looked puffier and redder.

She was so focused on the black-haired boy that she didn't notice the other older man that left behind a corner so that she wouldn't see him

"What are you doing here?" asked the older boy looking at all of them while he was fixing himself

"Vi wants to send her parents a letter before breakfast," said Lily looking at her brother with big eyes

The hazel-eyed boy looked around you could tell he didn't want to leave where he was but then he sighed and said:" Fine let's go."

Soon they were at the owlery and the others had taught Violet how to tie her letter to her owl and how to make her fly.
