Chapter 18

Dudley Dursley was worried his baby girl was now in the magical world somewhere he had limited information about and where he couldn't protect her from anything.

When Violet had entered that train, he had haunted his mother for any information she had on her sister's time at Hogwarts while wasn't much but the former Evans woman had been able to find a number of letters her sister had written to their parents.

What he had read was at the same time different and similar to what he had gathered from his cousin in retrospect and maybe just maybe his daughter would be Ok.

"Dud sit down and eat your breakfast," said Natalie you could tell by her voice that she was worried about her husband

Dudley was about to answer when a voice from their window caught his attention. Outside of the window was an owl that he knew to be his daughter's

"Oh," said his mother-in-law looking at the owl with curious eyes

His father-in-law chuckled at his wife and said," I guess we will have to get used to this."

Not wanting the low to get bored and leave the youngest Dursley opened the window so that the owl could enter the room which he did flying at the table.

He watched as his parental grandmother took a piece of bacon and gave it to the owl while taking the letter from his leg at his curious look she said" I saw my sister do this often enough especially when she was dating her future husband."

"Don't worry about him leaving an owl would rather die than not finishing a delivery."

"Really? "Carter asked with wide eyes" How do you know that?" right now everyone had turned towards her

"When we lived in Cokeworth Lily met a boy from Spinner's End he was a wizard too I think a half-blood because his father's family had lived there for years. I didn't like him but he taught Lily things about the Wizarding world long before she got the letter."

"SO, when I was attacked by those Dementors and you said that 'Awful boy' said that you didn't mean Aunt Lily's husband?" asked Dudley looking at his mother

"No, I met James only once when she introduced him to our parents, they died in a car accident a couple of months after that and we didn't have a reason to meet anymore."

"Wasn't he at the funeral?" asked Natalie wanted to know more about those people that had so much in common with her daughter

"He was he even brought a couple of thousand pounds worth of flowers but we didn't talk and I wasn't interested he was there for Lily no one else."

"I didn't like him," said Vernon and at the others' looks he continued" It has nothing to do with him having magic I just thought he was too much of a showoff." Carter was the one who broke the tension
